2P 3:5-7 (King James)

⁵ For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: ⁶ Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: ⁷ But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

⁵ Car ils ignorent volontairement ceci, que les cieux ont été [faits] de toute ancienneté, et que la terre [est sortie] de l'eau, et qu'elle subsiste parmi l'eau, par la parole de Dieu ; ⁶ Et que par ces choses-là le monde d'alors périt, étant submergé des eaux du déluge. ⁷ Mais les cieux et la terre qui sont maintenant, sont réservés par la même parole, étant gardés pour le feu au jour du jugement, et de la destruction des hommes impies.
