BCC ¹ La neuvième année du règne de Sédécias, le dixième mois, le dixième jour du mois, Nabuchodonosor, roi de Babylone, vint avec toute son armée contre Jérusalem, et établit son camp devant elle ; on construisit tout autour des murs d'approche.

KJV ¹ And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came, he, and all his host, against Jerusalem, and pitched against it; and they built forts against it round about.

BCC ² La ville fut assiégée jusqu'à la onzième année de Sédécias.

KJV ² And the city was besieged unto the eleventh year of king Zedekiah.

WLC ² וַתָּבֹ֥א הָעִ֖יר בַּמָּצ֑וֹר עַ֚ד עַשְׁתֵּ֣י עֶשְׂרֵ֣ה שָׁנָ֔ה לַמֶּ֖לֶךְ צִדְקִיָּֽהוּ׃

BCC ³ Le neuvième jour du mois, comme la famine était plus grande dans la ville, et qu'il n'y avait plus de pain pour le peuple du pays,

KJV ³ And on the ninth day of the fourth month the famine prevailed in the city, and there was no bread for the people of the land.

WLC ³ בְּתִשְׁעָ֣ה לַחֹ֔דֶשׁ וַיֶּחֱזַ֥ק הָרָעָ֖ב בָּעִ֑יר וְלֹא־ הָ֥יָה לֶ֖חֶם לְעַ֥ם הָאָֽרֶץ׃

BCC ⁴ une brèche fut faite à la ville, et tous les gens de guerre s'enfuirent la nuit par le chemin de la porte entre les deux murs, près du jardin du roi, pendant que les Chaldéens environnaient la ville. Le roi prit le chemin de l'Araba.

KJV ⁴ And the city was broken up, and all the men of war fled by night by the way of the gate between two walls, which is by the king's garden: (now the Chaldees were against the city round about:) and the king went the way toward the plain.

VULC ⁴ Et interrupta est civitas : et omnes viri bellatores nocte fugerunt per viam portæ quæ est inter duplicem murum ad hortum regis. Porro Chaldæi obsidebant in circuitu civitatem. Fugit itaque Sedecias per viam quæ ducit ad campestria solitudinis.
