BAN ⁵ Et l'Eternel descendit dans la nuée, et se tint là avec lui et prononça le nom de l'Eternel.

KJV ⁵ And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD.

BAN ⁶ Et l'Eternel passa devant lui et prononça [ces paroles] : L'Eternel, l'Eternel, Dieu compatissant et miséricordieux, lent à la colère et abondant en grâce et en vérité ;

KJV ⁶ And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,

BAN ⁷ qui conserve sa grâce à mille générations ; qui pardonne le crime, la défection et le péché ; mais il ne les laisse pas impunis, poursuivant l'iniquité des pères sur les fils et sur les fils des fils, sur la troisième et la quatrième génération.

KJV ⁷ Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.

BAN ⁸ Aussitôt Moïse s'inclina contre terre et se prosterna,

KJV ⁸ And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.

BAN ⁹ et il dit : Ah ! si j'ai trouvé grâce à tes yeux, Seigneur, que le Seigneur daigne marcher au milieu de nous, car c'est un peuple au cou roide que celui-ci, et pardonne nos crimes et nos péchés et fais de nous ton héritage !

KJV ⁹ And he said, If now I have found grace in thy sight, O LORD, let my LORD, I pray thee, go among us; for it is a stiffnecked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for thine inheritance.
