WLC ⁵ וַיֵּ֤רֶד יְהוָה֙ בֶּֽעָנָ֔ן וַיִּתְיַצֵּ֥ב עִמּ֖וֹ שָׁ֑ם וַיִּקְרָ֥א בְשֵׁ֖ם יְהוָֽה׃

KJV ⁶ And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,

S21 ⁶ L'Eternel passa devant lui et s'écria: «L'Eternel, l'Eternel est un *Dieu de grâce et de compassion, lent à la colère, riche en bonté et en vérité.

WLC ⁶ וַיַּעֲבֹ֨ר יְהוָ֥ה ׀ עַל־ פָּנָיו֮ וַיִּקְרָא֒ יְהוָ֣ה ׀ יְהוָ֔ה אֵ֥ל רַח֖וּם וְחַנּ֑וּן אֶ֥רֶךְ אַפַּ֖יִם וְרַב־ חֶ֥סֶד וֶאֱמֶֽת ׀

KJV ⁷ Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.

S21 ⁷ Il garde son amour jusqu'à 1000 générations, il pardonne la faute, la révolte et le péché, mais il ne traite pas le coupable en innocent et il punit la faute des pères sur les enfants et les petits-enfants jusqu'à la troisième et à la quatrième génération!»

WLC ⁷ נֹצֵ֥ר חֶ֙סֶד֙ לָאֲלָפִ֔ים נֹשֵׂ֥א עָוֺ֛ן וָפֶ֖שַׁע וְחַטָּאָ֑ה וְנַקֵּה֙ לֹ֣א יְנַקֶּ֔ה פֹּקֵ֣ד ׀ עֲוֺ֣ן אָב֗וֹת עַל־ בָּנִים֙ וְעַל־ בְּנֵ֣י בָנִ֔ים עַל־ שִׁלֵּשִׁ֖ים וְעַל־ רִבֵּעִֽים׃

KJV ⁸ And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.

S21 ⁸ Aussitôt Moïse s'inclina jusqu'à terre et adora.

WLC ⁸ וַיְמַהֵ֖ר מֹשֶׁ֑ה וַיִּקֹּ֥ד אַ֖רְצָה וַיִּשְׁתָּֽחוּ׃

KJV ⁹ And he said, If now I have found grace in thy sight, O LORD, let my LORD, I pray thee, go among us; for it is a stiffnecked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for thine inheritance.

S21 ⁹ Il dit: «Seigneur, si j'ai trouvé grâce à tes yeux, que le Seigneur marche au milieu de nous, même si c'est un peuple réfractaire. Pardonne nos fautes et nos péchés et prends-nous pour ta possession.»

WLC ⁹ וַיֹּ֡אמֶר אִם־ נָא֩ מָצָ֨אתִי חֵ֤ן בְּעֵינֶ֙יךָ֙ אֲדֹנָ֔י יֵֽלֶךְ־ נָ֥א אֲדֹנָ֖י בְּקִרְבֵּ֑נוּ כִּ֤י עַם־ קְשֵׁה־ עֹ֙רֶף֙ ה֔וּא וְסָלַחְתָּ֛ לַעֲוֺנֵ֥נוּ וּלְחַטָּאתֵ֖נוּ וּנְחַלְתָּֽנוּ׃
