Lc 23:26-31 (Darby)

   ²⁶ Et comme ils l'emmenaient, ils prirent un certain Simon, Cyrénéen, qui venait des champs, et le chargèrent de la croix, pour la porter après Jésus. ²⁷ Et une grande multitude du peuple et de femmes qui se frappaient la poitrine et le pleuraient, le suivait. ²⁸ Mais Jésus, se tournant vers elles, dit : Filles de Jérusalem, ne pleurez pas sur moi ; mais pleurez sur vous-mêmes et sur vos enfants ; ²⁹ car voici, des jours viennent, dans lesquels on dira : Bienheureuses les stériles, et les ventres qui n'ont pas enfanté, et les mamelles qui n'ont pas nourri. ³⁰ Alors ils se mettront à dire aux montagnes : Tombez sur nous ; et aux coteaux : Couvrez-nous ; ³¹ car s'ils font ces choses au bois vert, que sera-t-il fait au bois sec ?

   ²⁶ And as they led him away, they laid hold upon one Simon, a Cyrenian, coming out of the country, and on him they laid the cross, that he might bear it after Jesus. ²⁷ And there followed him a great company of people, and of women, which also bewailed and lamented him. ²⁸ But Jesus turning unto them said, Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children. ²⁹ For, behold, the days are coming, in the which they shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bare, and the paps which never gave suck. ³⁰ Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us. ³¹ For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry?

²⁶ καὶ ὡς ἀπήγαγον αὐτόν ἐπιλαβόμενοι σίμωνος τινος κυρηναίου τοῦ ἐρχόμενου ἀπ᾽ ἀγροῦ ἐπέθηκαν αὐτῷ τὸν σταυρὸν φέρειν ὄπισθεν τοῦ ἰησοῦ ²⁷ ἠκολούθει δὲ αὐτῷ πολὺ πλῆθος τοῦ λαοῦ καὶ γυναικῶν αἳ καὶ ἐκόπτοντο καὶ ἐθρήνουν αὐτόν ²⁸ στραφεὶς δὲ πρὸς αὐτὰς ὁ ἰησοῦς εἶπεν φυγατέρες ἰερουσαλήμ μὴ κλαίετε ἐπ᾽ ἐμέ πλὴν ἐφ᾽ ἑαυτὰς κλαίετε καὶ ἐπὶ τὰ τέκνα ὑμῶν ²⁹ ὅτι ἰδού, ἔρχονται ἡμέραι ἐν αἷς ἐροῦσιν μακάριαι αἱ στεῖραι καὶ κοιλίαι αἱ οὐκ ἐγέννησαν καὶ μαστοὶ οἳ οὐκ ἔθήλασαν ³⁰ τότε ἄρξονται λέγειν τοῖς ὄρεσιν πέσετε ἐφ᾽ ἡμᾶς καὶ τοῖς βουνοῖς καλύψατε ἡμᾶς ³¹ ὅτι εἰ ἐν τῷ ὑγρῷ ξύλῳ ταῦτα ποιοῦσιν ἐν τῷ ξηρῷ τί γένηται
