DRB ⁹ Quel profit y a-t-il en mon sang, quand je descendrais dans la fosse ? La poussière te célébrera-t-elle ? Annoncera-t-elle ta vérité ?

KJV ⁹ What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?

NEG ⁹ Eternel! j'ai crié à toi,
J'ai imploré l'Eternel:

DRB ¹⁰ Écoute, ô Éternel ! et use de grâce envers moi ; Éternel, sois-moi en aide.

KJV ¹⁰ Hear, O LORD, and have mercy upon me: LORD, be thou my helper.

NEG ¹⁰ Que gagnes-tu à verser mon sang,
A me faire descendre dans la fosse?
La poussière a-t-elle pour toi des louanges?
Raconte-t-elle ta fidélité?

DRB ¹¹ Tu as changé mon deuil en allégresse*, tu as détaché mon sac, et tu m'as ceint de joie ;
