² Et il arrivera, en ce jour-là, dit l'Éternel des armées, que je retrancherai du pays les noms des idoles, et on ne s'en souviendra plus ; et j'ôterai aussi du pays les prophètes et l'esprit impur. ³ Et il arrivera que, si un homme prophétise encore, son père et sa mère qui l'ont engendré, lui diront : Tu ne vivras pas, car tu dis des mensonges au nom de l'Éternel. Et son père et sa mère qui l'ont engendré, le transperceront quand il prophétisera. ⁴ Et il arrivera, en ce jour-là, que les prophètes auront honte, chacun de sa vision, quand il prophétisera, et ils ne se vêtiront plus d'un manteau de poil pour mentir. - ⁵ Et il dira : Je ne suis pas prophète ; je suis un homme qui laboure la terre ; car l'homme m'a acquis [comme esclave] dès ma jeunesse.

² And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered: and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land. ³ And it shall come to pass, that when any shall yet prophesy, then his father and his mother that begat him shall say unto him, Thou shalt not live; for thou speakest lies in the name of the LORD: and his father and his mother that begat him shall thrust him through when he prophesieth. ⁴ And it shall come to pass in that day, that the prophets shall be ashamed every one of his vision, when he hath prophesied; neither shall they wear a rough garment to deceive: ⁵ But he shall say, I am no prophet, I am an husbandman; for man taught me to keep cattle from my youth.

² Ce jour-là, déclare l'Eternel, le maître de l'univers, j'éliminerai du pays les noms des idoles, afin qu'on ne s'en souvienne plus. Je ferai aussi disparaître du pays les prophètes et l'esprit d'impureté.
³ Si quelqu'un prophétise encore, son père et sa mère, ceux qui lui ont donné naissance, lui diront: «Tu ne vivras pas, car tu dis des mensonges au nom de l'Eternel!» Son père et sa mère, les auteurs de ses jours, le transperceront quand il prophétisera.
⁴ Ce jour-là, les prophètes rougiront chacun de leurs visions quand ils prophétiseront, et ils ne mettront plus un manteau de poil pour tromper. ⁵ Chacun d'eux dira: «Je ne suis pas prophète, je suis cultivateur, quelqu'un m'a acheté dès ma jeunesse.»

   ² Et erit in die illa, dicit Dominus exercituum :
disperdam nomina idolorum de terra,
et non memorabuntur ultra :
et pseudoprophetas, et spiritum immundum auferam de terra.
   ³ Et erit : cum prophetaverit quispiam ultra,
dicent ei pater ejus et mater ejus, qui genuerunt eum :
Non vives, quia mendacium locutus es in nomine Domini :
et configent eum pater ejus et mater ejus, genitores ejus,
cum prophetaverit.
   ⁴ Et erit : in die illa confundentur prophetæ,
unusquisque ex visione sua cum prophetaverit :
nec operientur pallio saccino, ut mentiantur :
   ⁵ sed dicet : Non sum propheta :
homo agricola ego sum,
quoniam Adam exemplum meum ab adolescentia mea.
