   ²⁰ And the sons of Ephraim; Shuthelah, and Bered his son, and Tahath his son, and Eladah his son, and Tahath his son, ²¹ And Zabad his son, and Shuthelah his son, and Ezer, and Elead, whom the men of Gath that were born in that land slew, because they came down to take away their cattle. ²² And Ephraim their father mourned many days, and his brethren came to comfort him.

²⁰ Descendants d'Ephraïm: Shutélach, lui-même père de Béred, père de Thachath, père d'Eleada, père de Thachath, ²¹ père de Zabad, père de Shutélach. Il y avait aussi Ezer et Elead, que les hommes de Gath, ceux qui étaient nés dans le pays, tuèrent parce qu'ils étaient descendus pour s'emparer de leurs troupeaux. ²² Leur père Ephraïm mena longtemps le deuil et ses frères vinrent pour le consoler.
