1S 2:23-25 (King James)

²³ And he said unto them, Why do ye such things? for I hear of your evil dealings by all this people. ²⁴ Nay, my sons; for it is no good report that I hear: ye make the LORD's people to transgress. ²⁵ If one man sin against another, the judge shall judge him: but if a man sin against the LORD, who shall intreat for him? Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto the voice of their father, because the LORD would slay them.

²³ Et il leur dit: Pourquoi faites-vous de telles choses? car j'apprends de tout le peuple vos méchantes actions; ²⁴ Ne faites pas ainsi, mes fils; la rumeur que j'entends n'est pas bonne; vous faites transgresser le peuple de l'Éternel. ²⁵ Si un homme pèche contre un autre homme, Dieu le jugera; mais si quelqu'un pèche contre l'Éternel, qui interviendra pour lui? Mais ils n'obéirent point à la voix de leur père, car l'Éternel voulait les faire mourir.
