KJV ⁴ Then said Saul unto his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore afraid. Therefore Saul took a sword, and fell upon it.

S21 ⁴ Saül dit alors à son porteur d'armes: «Tire ton épée et transperce-moi! Sinon, ce seront ces incirconcis qui viendront le faire et ils me feront subir leurs mauvais traitements.» Son porteur d'armes ne voulut pas le tuer, car il était rempli de peur. Alors Saül prit son épée et se jeta dessus.

VULC ⁴ Dixitque Saul ad armigerum suum : Evagina gladium tuum, et percute me : ne forte veniant incircumcisi isti, et interficiant me, illudentes mihi. Et noluit armiger ejus : fuerat enim nimio terrore perterritus. Arripuit itaque Saul gladium, et irruit super eum.
