⁹ C'est pour cela que, nous aussi, depuis le jour où nous en avons ouï parler, nous ne cessons de prier pour vous, et de demander que vous soyez remplis de la connaissance de sa volonté, en toute sagesse et intelligence spirituelle ; ¹⁰ afin que vous marchiez d'une manière digne du Seigneur, pour lui plaire en toutes choses, portant du fruit en toute bonne oeuvre et croissant dans la connaissance de Dieu ; ¹¹ étant fortifiés en toute force par sa puissance glorieuse, pour être remplis en tout de patience et de douceur, avec joie.
   ¹² Rendant grâces au Père, qui nous a rendus capables d'avoir part à l'héritage des saints dans la lumière,

   ⁹ For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; ¹⁰ That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; ¹¹ Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
   ¹² Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
