¹⁷ Alors Daniel s'en alla à sa maison et fit connaître la chose à Hanania, Mishaël et Azaria, ses compagnons, ¹⁸ pour implorer, de la part du Dieu* des cieux, [ses] compassions au sujet de ce secret, afin que Daniel et ses compagnons ne fussent pas détruits avec le reste des sages de Babylone.

¹⁷ Then Daniel went to his house, and made the thing known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions: ¹⁸ That they would desire mercies of the God of heaven concerning this secret; that Daniel and his fellows should not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.
