⁵ Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him? ⁶ But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats?

⁵ Ecoutez, mes frères bien-aimés, Dieu n'a-t-il pas choisi les pauvres de ce monde, qui sont riches en la foi, et héritiers du Royaume qu'il a promis à ceux qui l'aiment ? ⁶ Mais vous avez déshonoré le pauvre. Et cependant les riches ne vous oppriment-ils pas, et ne vous tirent-ils pas devant les Tribunaux ?
