Lc 13:6-9 (Catholique Crampon)

⁶ Et il disait cette parabole : "quelqu'un avait un figuier planté dans sa vigne ; il vint y chercher des fruits, et il n'en trouva point. ⁷ Et il dit au vigneron : "voilà trois ans que je viens chercher des fruits sur ce figuier, et je n'en trouve point ; coupe-le : pourquoi aussi rend-il la terre inutile ?" ⁸ Il lui répondit : "Maître, laissez-le encore cette année, jusqu'à ce que j'aie creusé tout autour et mis du fumier. ⁹ Et s'il donnait des fruits à la saison prochaine... Sinon, vous le couperez."

   ⁶ He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none. ⁷ Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground? ⁸ And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it: ⁹ And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.
