Lc 13:6-9 (King James)

   ⁶ He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none. ⁷ Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground? ⁸ And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it: ⁹ And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.

⁶ ἕλεγεν δὲ ταύτην τὴν παραβολήν συκῆν εἶχέν τις ἐν τῷ ἀμπελῶνι αὐτοῦ πεφυτευμένην καὶ ἦλθεν καρπὸν ζητῶν ἐν αὐτῇ καὶ οὐχ εὗρεν ⁷ εἶπεν δὲ πρὸς τὸν ἀμπελουργόν ἰδού, τρία ἔτη ἔρχομαι ζητῶν καρπὸν ἐν τῇ συκῇ ταύτῃ καὶ οὐχ εὑρίσκω ἔκκοψον αὐτήν ἱνατί καὶ τὴν γῆν καταργεῖ ⁸ ὁ δὲ ἀποκριθεὶς λέγει αὐτῷ κύριε ἄφες αὐτὴν καὶ τοῦτο τὸ ἔτος ἕως ὅτου σκάψω περὶ αὐτὴν καὶ βάλω κόπριαν, ⁹ κἂν μὲν ποιήσῃ καρπὸν εἰ δὲ μήγε, εἰς τὸ μέλλον ἐκκόψεις αὐτήν

   ⁶ Dicebat autem et hanc similitudinem : Arborem fici habebat quidam plantatam in vinea sua, et venit quærens fructum in illa, et non invenit.
   ⁷ Dixit autem ad cultorem vineæ : Ecce anni tres sunt ex quo venio quærens fructum in ficulnea hac, et non invenio : succide ergo illam : ut quid etiam terram occupat ?
   ⁸ At ille respondens, dicit illi : Domine dimitte illam et hoc anno, usque dum fodiam circa illam, et mittam stercora,
   ⁹ et siquidem fecerit fructum : sin autem, in futurum succides eam.
