⁴ Lorsqu'il eut cessé de parler, il dit à Simon : "mène au large, et jetez vos filets pour la pêche." ⁵ Simon répondit : "Maître, toute la nuit nous avons peiné sans rien prendre ; mais, sur votre parole, je jetterai les filets." ⁶ Et l'ayant fait, ils prirent une grande quantité de poissons ; et leurs filets se rompaient. ⁷ Et ils firent signe aux compagnons, qui étaient dans l'autre barque, de venir à leur aide. Ils vinrent, et on remplit les deux barques, au point qu'elles enfonçaient. ⁸ Ce que voyant, Simon Pierre tomba aux genoux de Jésus en disant : "éloignez-vous de moi, parce que je suis un pécheur, Seigneur !" ⁹ Car la stupeur l'avait envahi, lui et tous ceux qui étaient avec lui, à cause de la pêche des poissons qu'ils avaient faite ; ¹⁰ et de même Jacques et Jean, fils de Zébédée, qui étaient associés à Simon. Et Jésus dit à Simon : "ne crains point ; désormais ce sont des hommes que tu prendras."

⁴ Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. ⁵ And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. ⁶ And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake. ⁷ And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink. ⁸ When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord. ⁹ For he was astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken: ¹⁰ And so was also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men.

   ⁶ Et cum hoc fecissent, concluserunt piscium multitudinem copiosam : rumpebatur autem rete eorum.
   ⁷ Et annuerunt sociis, qui erant in alia navi, ut venirent, et adjuvarent eos. Et venerunt, et impleverunt ambas naviculas, ita ut pene mergerentur.
