³⁰ And there was a good way off from them an herd of many swine feeding. ³¹ So the devils besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine. ³² And he said unto them, Go. And when they were come out, they went into the herd of swine: and, behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters.

³⁰ Or, il y avait assez loin d'eux un grand troupeau de pourceaux qui paissait. ³¹ Et les démons le prièrent, et lui dirent: Si tu nous chasses, permets-nous d'entrer dans ce troupeau de pourceaux. ³² Et il leur dit: Allez. Et étant sortis, ils allèrent dans le troupeau de pourceaux; et aussitôt tout le troupeau de pourceaux se précipita avec impétuosité dans la mer, et ils moururent dans les eaux.
