   ¹⁴ Alors les disciples de Jean viennent à lui, disant : Pourquoi nous et les pharisiens jeûnons-nous souvent, tandis que tes disciples ne jeûnent point ? ¹⁵ Et Jésus leur dit : Les amis de l'époux peuvent-ils être dans le deuil pendant que l'époux est avec eux ? mais des jours viendront où l'époux leur sera ôté, et alors ils jeûneront.

   ¹⁴ Then came to him the disciples of John, saying, Why do we and the Pharisees fast oft, but thy disciples fast not? ¹⁵ And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast.
