Phm 1:1-7 (King James)

¹ Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy our brother, unto Philemon our dearly beloved, and fellowlabourer,
² And to our beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellowsoldier, and to the church in thy house:
³ Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
⁴ I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers,
⁵ Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints;
⁶ That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.
⁷ For we have great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother.

¹ De la part de Paul, prisonnier de Jésus-Christ, et de la part du frère Timothée à Philémon, notre bien-aimé collaborateur,
² à notre bien-aimée Apphia, à Archippe, notre compagnon de combat, et à l'Eglise qui se réunit dans ta maison:
³ que la grâce et la paix vous soient données de la part de Dieu notre Père et du Seigneur Jésus-Christ!
⁴ Je dis constamment à mon Dieu toute ma reconnaissance en faisant mention de toi dans mes prières,
⁵ car j'entends parler de ta foi dans le Seigneur Jésus et de ton amour pour tous les saints.
⁶ Je lui demande que ta participation à la foi soit efficace et fasse reconnaître tout le bien que nous accomplissons pour la cause de [Jésus-]Christ.
⁷ Nous éprouvons en effet beaucoup de reconnaissance et de réconfort au sujet de ton amour, car grâce à toi, frère, le cœur des saints a été tranquillisé.
