³ And in the third chariot white horses; and in the fourth chariot grisled and bay horses.
⁴ Then I answered and said unto the angel that talked with me, What are these, my lord?
⁵ And the angel answered and said unto me, These are the four spirits of the heavens, which go forth from standing before the LORD of all the earth.
⁶ The black horses which are therein go forth into the north country; and the white go forth after them; and the grisled go forth toward the south country.
⁷ And the bay went forth, and sought to go that they might walk to and fro through the earth: and he said, Get you hence, walk to and fro through the earth. So they walked to and fro through the earth.
⁸ Then cried he upon me, and spake unto me, saying, Behold, these that go toward the north country have quieted my spirit in the north country.

³ au troisième char des chevaux blancs, et au quatrième char des chevaux tachetés, rouges.
⁴ Je pris la parole et je dis à l'ange qui parlait avec moi: Qu'est-ce, mon seigneur ?
⁵ L'ange me répondit: Ce sont les quatre vents des cieux, qui sortent du lieu où ils se tenaient devant le Seigneur de toute la terre.
⁶ Les chevaux noirs attelés à l'un des chars se dirigent vers le pays du septentrion, et les blancs vont après eux ; les tachetés se dirigent vers le pays du midi.
⁷ Les rouges sortent et demandent à aller parcourir la terre. L'ange leur dit: Allez, parcourez la terre ! Et ils parcoururent la terre.
⁸ Il m'appela, et il me dit: Vois, ceux qui se dirigent vers le pays du septentrion font reposer ma colère sur le pays du septentrion.

⁵ Et respondit angelus, et ait ad me : Isti sunt quatuor venti cæli, qui egrediuntur ut stent coram Dominatore omnis terræ.
⁶ In qua erant equi nigri, egrediebantur in terram aquilonis : et albi egressi sunt post eos, et varii egressi sunt ad terram austri.
⁷ Qui autem erant robustissimi, exierunt, et quærebant ire et discurrere per omnem terram. Et dixit : Ite, perambulate terram : et perambulaverunt terram.
⁸ Et vocavit me, et locutus est ad me, dicens : Ecce qui egrediuntur in terram aquilonis, requiescere fecerunt spiritum meum in terra aquilonis.
