KJV ¹¹ And Elkanah went to Ramah to his house. And the child did minister unto the LORD before Eli the priest.

MAR ¹¹ Puis Elkana s'en alla à Rama en sa maison, et le jeune garçon vaquait au service de l'Eternel, en la présence d'Héli le Sacrificateur.

BCC ¹² Or les fils d'Héli étaient des hommes de Bélial, ils ne connaissaient point Yahweh.

KJV ¹² Now the sons of Eli were sons of Belial; they knew not the LORD.

MAR ¹² Or les fils d'Héli étaient de méchants hommes ; ils ne connaissaient point l'Eternel,

BCC ¹³ Et voici la manière d'agir de ces prêtres à l'égard du peuple. Lorsque quelqu'un offrait un sacrifice, le serviteur du prêtre venait, pendant qu'on faisait bouillir la chair, tenant à la main une fourchette à trois dents ;

KJV ¹³ And the priest's custom with the people was, that, when any man offered sacrifice, the priest's servant came, while the flesh was in seething, with a fleshhook of three teeth in his hand;

MAR ¹³ Car le train ordinaire de ces Sacrificateurs-là envers le peuple, [était, que] quand quelqu'un faisait quelque sacrifice, le garçon du Sacrificateur venait lorsqu'on faisait bouillir la chair, ayant en sa main une fourchette à trois dents,

BCC ¹⁴ il la plongeait dans la chaudière, dans le chaudron, dans la marmite ou dans le pot, et tout ce que la fourchette amenait, le prêtre le prenait pour lui. C'est ainsi qu'ils agissaient à l'égard de tous les Israélites qui venaient là, à Silo.

KJV ¹⁴ And he struck it into the pan, or kettle, or caldron, or pot; all that the fleshhook brought up the priest took for himself. So they did in Shiloh unto all the Israelites that came thither.

MAR ¹⁴ Avec laquelle il frappait dans la chaudière, ou dans le chauderon, ou dans la marmite, ou dans le pot ; [et] le Sacrificateur prenait pour soi tout ce que la fourchette enlevait ; ils en faisaient ainsi à tous ceux d'Israël qui venaient là à Silo.

BCC ¹⁵ Même avant qu'on fît brûler la graisse, le serviteur du prêtre venait et disait à l'homme qui offrait le sacrifice : « Donne-moi de la chair à rôtir pour le prêtre ; il ne recevra pas de toi de chair bouillie, mais seulement de la chair crue. »

KJV ¹⁵ Also before they burnt the fat, the priest's servant came, and said to the man that sacrificed, Give flesh to roast for the priest; for he will not have sodden flesh of thee, but raw.

MAR ¹⁵ Même avant qu'on fît fumer la graisse, le garçon du Sacrificateur venait, et disait à l'homme qui sacrifiait : Donne-moi de la chair à rôtir pour le Sacrificateur ; car il ne prendra point de toi de chair bouillie, mais de la chair crue.

BCC ¹⁶ Et si l'homme lui disait : « Qu'on fasse d'abord fumer la graisse ; tu prendras ensuite ce que tu voudras, » le serviteur répondait : « Non, tu en donneras maintenant ; sinon, j'en prendrai de force. »

KJV ¹⁶ And if any man said unto him, Let them not fail to burn the fat presently, and then take as much as thy soul desireth; then he would answer him, Nay; but thou shalt give it me now: and if not, I will take it by force.

MAR ¹⁶ Que si l'homme lui répondait : Qu'on ne manque pas de faire fumer tout présentement la graisse ; et après cela prends ce que ton âme souhaitera ; alors il lui disait : Quoi qu'il en soit, tu en donneras maintenant ; et si tu ne m'en donnes, j'en prendrai par force.

BCC ¹⁷ Le péché de ces jeunes gens était très grand devant Yahweh, parce que ces hommes attiraient le mépris sur les offrandes de Yahweh.

KJV ¹⁷ Wherefore the sin of the young men was very great before the LORD: for men abhorred the offering of the LORD.

MAR ¹⁷ Et le péché de ces jeunes hommes fut très-grand devant l'Eternel ; car les gens en méprisaient l'oblation de l'Eternel.

BCC ¹⁸ Samuel faisait le service devant Yahweh : l'enfant était revêtu d'un éphod de lin.

KJV ¹⁸ But Samuel ministered before the LORD, being a child, girded with a linen ephod.

MAR ¹⁸ Or Samuel servait en la présence de l'Eternel, étant jeune garçon, vêtu d'un Ephod de lin.

BCC ¹⁹ Sa mère lui faisait une petite robe, qu'elle lui apportait chaque année, lorsqu'elle montait avec son mari, pour offrir le sacrifice annuel.

KJV ¹⁹ Moreover his mother made him a little coat, and brought it to him from year to year, when she came up with her husband to offer the yearly sacrifice.

MAR ¹⁹ Sa mère lui faisait un petit roquet, qu'elle lui apportait tous les ans, quand elle montait avec son mari pour offrir le sacrifice solennel.

BCC ²⁰ Héli bénit Elcana et sa femme, en disant : « Que Yahweh te donne des enfants de cette femme, pour le don qu'elle a fait à Yahweh ! » Et ils s'en retournèrent chez eux.

KJV ²⁰ And Eli blessed Elkanah and his wife, and said, The LORD give thee seed of this woman for the loan which is lent to the LORD. And they went unto their own home.

MAR ²⁰ Et Héli bénit Elkana et sa femme, et dit : L'Eternel te fasse avoir des enfants de cette femme, pour le prêt qui a été fait à l'Eternel. Et ils s'en retournèrent chez eux.

BCC ²¹ Yahweh visita Anne, et elle conçut et enfanta trois fils et deux filles. Et le jeune Samuel grandissait en la présence de Yahweh.

KJV ²¹ And the LORD visited Hannah, so that she conceived, and bare three sons and two daughters. And the child Samuel grew before the LORD.

MAR ²¹ Et l'Eternel visita Anne, laquelle conçut et enfanta trois fils et deux filles ; et le jeune garçon Samuel devint grand en la présence de l'Eternel.

BCC ²² Héli était très vieux, et il apprit comment ses fils agissaient à l'égard de tout Israël, et qu'ils couchaient avec les femmes qui servaient à l'entrée de la tente de réunion.

KJV ²² Now Eli was very old, and heard all that his sons did unto all Israel; and how they lay with the women that assembled at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

MAR ²² Or Héli était fort vieux, et il apprit tout ce que faisaient ses fils à tout Israël, et qu'ils couchaient avec les femmes qui s'assemblaient par troupes à la porte du Tabernacle d'assignation.

BCC ²³ Il leur dit : « Pourquoi faites-vous de telles choses ? Car j'apprends de tout le peuple vos mauvaises actions.

KJV ²³ And he said unto them, Why do ye such things? for I hear of your evil dealings by all this people.

MAR ²³ Et il leur dit : Pourquoi faites-vous ces actions-là ? car j'apprends vos méchantes actions ; ces choses [me viennent] de tout le peuple.

BCC ²⁴ Non, mes enfants, la rumeur que j'entends n'est pas bonne ; on fait pécher le peuple de Yahweh.

KJV ²⁴ Nay, my sons; for it is no good report that I hear: ye make the LORD's people to transgress.

MAR ²⁴ Ne faites pas ainsi, mes fils ; car ce que j'entends dire de vous n'est pas bon ; vous faites pécher le peuple de l'Eternel.

BCC ²⁵ Si un homme pèche contre un autre homme, Dieu intervient comme arbitre ; mais si c'est contre Yahweh qu'il pèche, qui intercédera pour lui ? » Et ils n'écoutaient point la voix de leur père, car Yahweh voulait les faire mourir.

KJV ²⁵ If one man sin against another, the judge shall judge him: but if a man sin against the LORD, who shall intreat for him? Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto the voice of their father, because the LORD would slay them.

MAR ²⁵ Si un homme a péché contre un autre homme, le Juge en jugera ; mais si quelqu'un pèche contre l'Eternel, qui est-ce qui priera pour lui ? Mais ils n'obéirent point à la voix de leur père, parce que l'Eternel voulait les faire mourir.

BCC ²⁶ Le jeune Samuel continuait à grandir, et il était agréable à Yahweh et aux hommes.

KJV ²⁶ And the child Samuel grew on, and was in favour both with the LORD, and also with men.

MAR ²⁶ Cependant le jeune garçon Samuel croissait et il était agréable à l'Eternel et aux hommes.
