KJV ¹² In that day I will perform against Eli all things which I have spoken concerning his house: when I begin, I will also make an end.

OST ¹² En ce jour-là, j'exécuterai contre Héli tout ce que j'ai dit contre sa maison; je commencerai et j'achèverai.

VULC ¹² In die illa suscitabo adversum Heli omnia quæ locutus sum super domum ejus : incipiam, et complebo.

KJV ¹³ For I have told him that I will judge his house for ever for the iniquity which he knoweth; because his sons made themselves vile, and he restrained them not.

OST ¹³ Car je l'ai averti que j'allais punir sa maison pour jamais, à cause de l'iniquité qu'il a connue, et par laquelle ses fils se sont rendus infâmes, sans qu'il les ait réprimés.

VULC ¹³ Prædixi enim ei quod judicaturus essem domum ejus in æternum propter iniquitatem, eo quod noverat indigne agere filios suos, et non corripuerit eos.

WLC ¹³ וְהִגַּ֣דְתִּי ל֔וֹ כִּֽי־ שֹׁפֵ֥ט אֲנִ֛י אֶת־ בֵּית֖וֹ עַד־ עוֹלָ֑ם בַּעֲוֺ֣ן אֲשֶׁר־ יָדַ֗ע כִּֽי־ מְקַֽלְלִ֤ים לָהֶם֙ בָּנָ֔יו וְלֹ֥א כִהָ֖ה בָּֽם׃

KJV ¹⁴ And therefore I have sworn unto the house of Eli, that the iniquity of Eli's house shall not be purged with sacrifice nor offering for ever.

OST ¹⁴ C'est pourquoi, j'ai juré à la maison d'Héli que jamais l'iniquité de la maison d'Héli ne sera expiée, ni par sacrifice, ni par oblation.

VULC ¹⁴ Idcirco juravi domui Heli quod non expietur iniquitas domus ejus victimis et muneribus usque in æternum.

WLC ¹⁴ וְלָכֵ֥ן נִשְׁבַּ֖עְתִּי לְבֵ֣ית עֵלִ֑י אִֽם־ יִתְכַּפֵּ֞ר עֲוֺ֧ן בֵּית־ עֵלִ֛י בְּזֶ֥בַח וּבְמִנְחָ֖ה עַד־ עוֹלָֽם׃

KJV ¹⁵ And Samuel lay until the morning, and opened the doors of the house of the LORD. And Samuel feared to shew Eli the vision.

OST ¹⁵ Et Samuel demeura couché jusqu'au matin, puis il ouvrit les portes de la maison de l'Éternel. Or, Samuel craignait de déclarer cette vision à Héli.

VULC ¹⁵ Dormivit autem Samuel usque mane, aperuitque ostia domus Domini. Et Samuel timebat indicare visionem Heli.

WLC ¹⁵ וַיִּשְׁכַּ֤ב שְׁמוּאֵל֙ עַד־ הַבֹּ֔קֶר וַיִּפְתַּ֖ח אֶת־ דַּלְת֣וֹת בֵּית־ יְהוָ֑ה וּשְׁמוּאֵ֣ל יָרֵ֔א מֵהַגִּ֥יד אֶת־ הַמַּרְאָ֖ה אֶל־ עֵלִֽי׃

KJV ¹⁶ Then Eli called Samuel, and said, Samuel, my son. And he answered, Here am I.

OST ¹⁶ Mais Héli appela Samuel, et dit: Samuel, mon fils;

VULC ¹⁶ Vocavit ergo Heli Samuelem, et dixit : Samuel fili mi ? Qui respondens ait : Præsto sum.

WLC ¹⁶ וַיִּקְרָ֤א עֵלִי֙ אֶת־ שְׁמוּאֵ֔ל וַיֹּ֖אמֶר שְׁמוּאֵ֣ל בְּנִ֑י וַיֹּ֖אמֶר הִנֵּֽנִי׃

KJV ¹⁷ And he said, What is the thing that the LORD hath said unto thee? I pray thee hide it not from me: God do so to thee, and more also, if thou hide any thing from me of all the things that he said unto thee.

OST ¹⁷ Et il répondit: Me voici! Et Héli dit: Quelle est la parole qu'il t'a adressée? Je te prie, ne me la cache point. Que Dieu te traite avec la dernière rigueur, si tu me caches un seul mot de tout ce qu'il t'a dit.

VULC ¹⁷ Et interrogavit eum : Quis est sermo, quem locutus est Dominus ad te ? oro te ne celaveris me : hæc faciat tibi Deus, et hæc addat, si absconderis a me sermonem ex omnibus verbis quæ dicta sunt tibi.

WLC ¹⁷ וַיֹּ֗אמֶר מָ֤ה הַדָּבָר֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר דִּבֶּ֣ר אֵלֶ֔יךָ אַל־ נָ֥א תְכַחֵ֖ד מִמֶּ֑נִּי כֹּ֣ה יַעֲשֶׂה־ לְּךָ֤ אֱלֹהִים֙ וְכֹ֣ה יוֹסִ֔יף אִם־ תְּכַחֵ֤ד מִמֶּ֙נִּי֙ דָּבָ֔ר מִכָּל־ הַדָּבָ֖ר אֲשֶׁר־ דִּבֶּ֥ר אֵלֶֽיךָ׃

KJV ¹⁸ And Samuel told him every whit, and hid nothing from him. And he said, It is the LORD: let him do what seemeth him good.

OST ¹⁸ Samuel lui déclara donc toutes ces paroles, et il ne lui cacha rien. Et Héli répondit: C'est l'Éternel, qu'il fasse ce qui lui semblera bon!

VULC ¹⁸ Indicavit itaque ei Samuel universos sermones, et non abscondit ab eo. Et ille respondit : Dominus est : quod bonum est in oculis suis faciat.

WLC ¹⁸ וַיַּגֶּד־ ל֤וֹ שְׁמוּאֵל֙ אֶת־ כָּל־ הַדְּבָרִ֔ים וְלֹ֥א כִחֵ֖ד מִמֶּ֑נּוּ וַיֹּאמַ֕ר יְהוָ֣ה ה֔וּא הַטּ֥וֹב בְּעֵינָ֖ו יַעֲשֶֽׂה׃
