KJV ²³ In the fifteenth year of Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel began to reign in Samaria, and reigned forty and one years.

DRB ²⁴ Et il fit ce qui est mauvais aux yeux de l'Éternel ; il ne se détourna d'aucun des péchés de Jéroboam, fils de Nebath, par lesquels il avait fait pécher Israël.

KJV ²⁴ And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD: he departed not from all the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

LSG ²⁴ Il fit ce qui est mal aux yeux de l'Éternel ; il ne se détourna d'aucun des péchés de Jéroboam, fils de Nebath, qui avait fait pécher Israël.

VULC ²⁴ Et fecit quod malum est coram Domino : non recessit ab omnibus peccatis Jeroboam filii Nabat, qui peccare fecit Israël.

WLC ²⁴ וַיַּ֥עַשׂ הָרַ֖ע בְּעֵינֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה לֹ֣א סָ֗ר מִכָּל־ חַטֹּאות֙ יָרָבְעָ֣ם בֶּן־ נְבָ֔ט אֲשֶׁ֥ר הֶחֱטִ֖יא אֶת־ יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

DRB ²⁵ Il rétablit la frontière d'Israël, depuis l'entrée de Hamath jusqu'à la mer de la plaine*, selon la parole de l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël, qu'il avait dite par son serviteur Jonas, le prophète, fils d'Amitthaï, qui était de Gath-Hépher.

KJV ²⁵ He restored the coast of Israel from the entering of Hamath unto the sea of the plain, according to the word of the LORD God of Israel, which he spake by the hand of his servant Jonah, the son of Amittai, the prophet, which was of Gathhepher.

WLC ²⁵ ה֗וּא הֵשִׁיב֙ אֶת־ גְּב֣וּל יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל מִלְּב֥וֹא חֲמָ֖ת עַד־ יָ֣ם הָעֲרָבָ֑ה כִּדְבַ֤ר יְהוָה֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אֲשֶׁ֣ר דִּבֶּ֗ר בְּיַד־ עַבְדּ֞וֹ יוֹנָ֤ה בֶן־ אֲמִתַּי֙ הַנָּבִ֔יא אֲשֶׁ֖ר מִגַּ֥ת הַחֵֽפֶר׃

DRB ²⁶ Car l'Éternel vit que l'affliction d'Israël était très amère, et qu'il n'y avait plus personne, homme lié ou homme libre, et qu'il n'y avait personne qui secourût Israël ;

KJV ²⁶ For the LORD saw the affliction of Israel, that it was very bitter: for there was not any shut up, nor any left, nor any helper for Israel.

LSG ²⁶ Car l'Éternel vit l'affliction d'Israël à son comble et l'extrémité à laquelle se trouvaient réduits esclaves et hommes libres, sans qu'il y eût personne pour venir au secours d'Israël.

VULC ²⁶ Vidit enim Dominus afflictionem Israël amaram nimis, et quod consumpti essent usque ad clausos carcere et extremos, et non esset qui auxiliaretur Israëli.

WLC ²⁶ כִּי־ רָאָ֧ה יְהוָ֛ה אֶת־ עֳנִ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל מֹרֶ֣ה מְאֹ֑ד וְאֶ֤פֶס עָצוּר֙ וְאֶ֣פֶס עָז֔וּב וְאֵ֥ין עֹזֵ֖ר לְיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

DRB ²⁷ et l'Éternel n'avait pas dit qu'il effacerait le nom d'Israël de dessous les cieux ; et il les sauva par la main de Jéroboam, fils de Joas.

KJV ²⁷ And the LORD said not that he would blot out the name of Israel from under heaven: but he saved them by the hand of Jeroboam the son of Joash.

LSG ²⁷ Or l'Éternel n'avait point résolu d'effacer le nom d'Israël de dessous les cieux, et il les délivra par Jéroboam, fils de Joas.

DRB ²⁸ Et le reste des actes de Jéroboam, et tout ce qu'il fit, et sa puissance, comment il fît* la guerre, et comment il recouvra pour Israël ce qui, de Damas et de Hamath, avait été à Juda, cela n'est-il pas écrit dans le livre des chroniques des rois d'Israël ?

KJV ²⁸ Now the rest of the acts of Jeroboam, and all that he did, and his might, how he warred, and how he recovered Damascus, and Hamath, which belonged to Judah, for Israel, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

VULC ²⁸ Reliqua autem sermonum Jeroboam, et universa quæ fecit, et fortitudo ejus qua præliatus est, et quomodo restituit Damascum et Emath Judæ in Israël, nonne hæc scripta sunt in libro sermonum dierum regum Israël ?

DRB ²⁹ Et Jéroboam s'endormit avec ses pères, avec les rois d'Israël ; et Zacharie, son fils, régna à sa place.
