KJV ¹⁶ And Shimei the son of Gera, a Benjamite, which was of Bahurim, hasted and came down with the men of Judah to meet king David.

LSG ¹⁶ Schimeï, fils de Guéra, Benjamite, qui était de Bachurim, se hâta de descendre avec ceux de Juda à la rencontre du roi David.

WLC ¹⁶ וַיָּ֣שָׁב הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ וַיָּבֹ֖א עַד־ הַיַּרְדֵּ֑ן וִיהוּדָ֞ה בָּ֣א הַגִּלְגָּ֗לָה לָלֶ֙כֶת֙ לִקְרַ֣את הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ לְהַעֲבִ֥יר אֶת־ הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ אֶת־ הַיַּרְדֵּֽן׃

DRB ¹⁷ et, avec lui, mille hommes de Benjamin, et Tsiba, serviteur* de la maison de Saül, et ses quinze fils et ses vingt serviteurs avec lui ; et ils traversèrent le Jourdain devant le roi.

KJV ¹⁷ And there were a thousand men of Benjamin with him, and Ziba the servant of the house of Saul, and his fifteen sons and his twenty servants with him; and they went over Jordan before the king.

LSG ¹⁷ Il avait avec lui mille hommes de Benjamin, et Tsiba, serviteur de la maison de Saül, et les quinze fils et les vingt serviteurs de Tsiba. Ils passèrent le Jourdain à la vue du roi.

WLC ¹⁷ וַיְמַהֵ֗ר שִׁמְעִ֤י בֶן־ גֵּרָא֙ בֶּן־ הַיְמִינִ֔י אֲשֶׁ֖ר מִבַּֽחוּרִ֑ים וַיֵּ֙רֶד֙ עִם־ אִ֣ישׁ יְהוּדָ֔ה לִקְרַ֖את הַמֶּ֥לֶךְ דָּוִֽד׃

DRB ¹⁸ Et un bac passa pour faire passer la maison du roi, et faire ce qui était bon à ses yeux. Et Shimhi, fils de Guéra, tomba devant le roi comme il allait passer le Jourdain,

KJV ¹⁸ And there went over a ferry boat to carry over the king's household, and to do what he thought good. And Shimei the son of Gera fell down before the king, as he was come over Jordan;

LSG ¹⁸ Le bateau, mis à la disposition du roi, faisait la traversée pour transporter sa maison ; et au moment où le roi allait passer le Jourdain, Schimeï, fils de Guéra, se prosterna devant lui.

WLC ¹⁸ וְאֶ֨לֶף אִ֣ישׁ עִמּוֹ֮ מִבִּנְיָמִן֒ וְצִיבָ֗א נַ֚עַר בֵּ֣ית שָׁא֔וּל וַחֲמֵ֨שֶׁת עָשָׂ֥ר בָּנָ֛יו וְעֶשְׂרִ֥ים עֲבָדָ֖יו אִתּ֑וֹ וְצָלְח֥וּ הַיַּרְדֵּ֖ן לִפְנֵ֥י הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃

DRB ¹⁹ et il dit au roi : Ne m'impute pas d'iniquité, mon seigneur, et ne te souviens pas de l'iniquité commise par ton serviteur au jour que le roi, mon seigneur, sortit de Jérusalem, en sorte que le roi le prenne à cœur.

KJV ¹⁹ And said unto the king, Let not my lord impute iniquity unto me, neither do thou remember that which thy servant did perversely the day that my lord the king went out of Jerusalem, that the king should take it to his heart.

LSG ¹⁹ Et il dit au roi: Que mon seigneur ne tienne pas compte de mon iniquité, qu'il oublie que ton serviteur l'a offensé le jour où le roi mon seigneur sortait de Jérusalem, et que le roi n'y ait point égard !

WLC ¹⁹ וְעָבְרָ֣ה הָעֲבָרָ֗ה לַֽעֲבִיר֙ אֶת־ בֵּ֣ית הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ וְלַעֲשׂ֥וֹת הַטּ֖וֹב וְשִׁמְעִ֣י בֶן־ גֵּרָ֗א נָפַל֙ לִפְנֵ֣י הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ בְּעָבְר֖וֹ בַּיַּרְדֵּֽן׃

DRB ²⁰ Car moi, ton serviteur, je sais que j'ai péché ; et voici, je suis venu aujourd'hui le premier de toute la maison de Joseph, pour descendre à la rencontre du roi, mon seigneur.

KJV ²⁰ For thy servant doth know that I have sinned: therefore, behold, I am come the first this day of all the house of Joseph to go down to meet my lord the king.

LSG ²⁰ Car ton serviteur reconnaît qu'il a péché. Et voici, je viens aujourd'hui le premier de toute la maison de Joseph à la rencontre du roi mon seigneur.

WLC ²⁰ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֶל־ הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ אַל־ יַחֲשָׁב־ לִ֣י אֲדֹנִי֮ עָוֺן֒ וְאַל־ תִּזְכֹּ֗ר אֵ֚ת אֲשֶׁ֣ר הֶעֱוָ֣ה עַבְדְּךָ֔ בַּיּ֕וֹם אֲשֶׁר־ יָׄצָ֥ׄאׄ אֲדֹנִֽי־ הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ מִירֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם לָשׂ֥וּם הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ אֶל־ לִבּֽוֹ׃

DRB ²¹ Et Abishaï, fils de Tseruïa, répondit et dit : Ne fera-t-on pas mourir Shimhi pour cela, car il a maudit l'oint de l'Éternel ?

KJV ²¹ But Abishai the son of Zeruiah answered and said, Shall not Shimei be put to death for this, because he cursed the LORD's anointed?

LSG ²¹ Alors Abischaï, fils de Tseruja, prit la parole et dit: Schimeï ne doit-il pas mourir pour avoir maudit l'oint de l'Éternel ?

WLC ²¹ כִּ֚י יָדַ֣ע עַבְדְּךָ֔ כִּ֖י אֲנִ֣י חָטָ֑אתִי וְהִנֵּֽה־ בָ֣אתִי הַיּ֗וֹם רִאשׁוֹן֙ לְכָל־ בֵּ֣ית יוֹסֵ֔ף לָרֶ֕דֶת לִקְרַ֖את אֲדֹנִ֥י הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃

DRB ²² Et David dit : Qu'ai-je à faire avec vous, fils de Tseruïa ? car vous êtes aujourd'hui des adversaires pour moi. Ferait-on mourir aujourd'hui un homme en Israël ? car ne sais-je pas que je suis aujourd'hui roi sur Israël ?

KJV ²² And David said, What have I to do with you, ye sons of Zeruiah, that ye should this day be adversaries unto me? shall there any man be put to death this day in Israel? for do not I know that I am this day king over Israel?

LSG ²² Mais David dit: Qu'ai-je affaire avec vous, fils de Tseruja, et pourquoi vous montrez-vous aujourd'hui mes adversaires ? Aujourd'hui ferait-on mourir un homme en Israël ? Ne sais-je donc pas que je règne aujourd'hui sur Israël ?

WLC ²² וַיַּ֨עַן אֲבִישַׁ֤י בֶּן־ צְרוּיָה֙ וַיֹּ֔אמֶר הֲתַ֣חַת זֹ֔את לֹ֥א יוּמַ֖ת שִׁמְעִ֑י כִּ֥י קִלֵּ֖ל אֶת־ מְשִׁ֥יחַ יְהוָֽה׃

DRB ²³ Et le roi dit à Shimhi : Tu ne mourras point. Et le roi le lui jura.

KJV ²³ Therefore the king said unto Shimei, Thou shalt not die. And the king sware unto him.
