S21 ¹⁶ Le roi revint et il arriva jusqu'au Jourdain. Quant aux Judéens, ils s'étaient rendus à Guilgal pour aller à la rencontre du roi et lui faire passer le Jourdain.

WLC ¹⁶ וַיָּ֣שָׁב הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ וַיָּבֹ֖א עַד־ הַיַּרְדֵּ֑ן וִיהוּדָ֞ה בָּ֣א הַגִּלְגָּ֗לָה לָלֶ֙כֶת֙ לִקְרַ֣את הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ לְהַעֲבִ֥יר אֶת־ הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ אֶת־ הַיַּרְדֵּֽן׃

KJV ¹⁷ And there were a thousand men of Benjamin with him, and Ziba the servant of the house of Saul, and his fifteen sons and his twenty servants with him; and they went over Jordan before the king.

S21 ¹⁷ Shimeï, fils de Guéra, le Benjaminite, qui était de Bachurim, s'empressa de descendre avec les Judéens à la rencontre du roi David.

WLC ¹⁷ וַיְמַהֵ֗ר שִׁמְעִ֤י בֶן־ גֵּרָא֙ בֶּן־ הַיְמִינִ֔י אֲשֶׁ֖ר מִבַּֽחוּרִ֑ים וַיֵּ֙רֶד֙ עִם־ אִ֣ישׁ יְהוּדָ֔ה לִקְרַ֖את הַמֶּ֥לֶךְ דָּוִֽד׃

KJV ¹⁸ And there went over a ferry boat to carry over the king's household, and to do what he thought good. And Shimei the son of Gera fell down before the king, as he was come over Jordan;

S21 ¹⁸ Il avait avec lui 1000 hommes de Benjamin, ainsi que Tsiba, le serviteur de la famille de Saül, avec ses 15 fils et ses 20 serviteurs. Ils se précipitèrent vers le Jourdain à la rencontre du roi.

WLC ¹⁸ וְאֶ֨לֶף אִ֣ישׁ עִמּוֹ֮ מִבִּנְיָמִן֒ וְצִיבָ֗א נַ֚עַר בֵּ֣ית שָׁא֔וּל וַחֲמֵ֨שֶׁת עָשָׂ֥ר בָּנָ֛יו וְעֶשְׂרִ֥ים עֲבָדָ֖יו אִתּ֑וֹ וְצָלְח֥וּ הַיַּרְדֵּ֖ן לִפְנֵ֥י הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃

KJV ¹⁹ And said unto the king, Let not my lord impute iniquity unto me, neither do thou remember that which thy servant did perversely the day that my lord the king went out of Jerusalem, that the king should take it to his heart.

S21 ¹⁹ Le bateau destiné au transport de la famille du roi et à ce qui lui paraissait bon faisait la traversée. Au moment où le roi traversait le Jourdain, Shimeï, le fils de Guéra, se prosterna devant lui

WLC ¹⁹ וְעָבְרָ֣ה הָעֲבָרָ֗ה לַֽעֲבִיר֙ אֶת־ בֵּ֣ית הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ וְלַעֲשׂ֥וֹת הַטּ֖וֹב וְשִׁמְעִ֣י בֶן־ גֵּרָ֗א נָפַל֙ לִפְנֵ֣י הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ בְּעָבְר֖וֹ בַּיַּרְדֵּֽן׃

KJV ²⁰ For thy servant doth know that I have sinned: therefore, behold, I am come the first this day of all the house of Joseph to go down to meet my lord the king.

S21 ²⁰ et lui dit: «Que mon seigneur ne tienne pas compte de ma faute! Qu'il oublie la mauvaise conduite de ton serviteur le jour où mon seigneur le roi a quitté Jérusalem, que le roi ne la prenne pas à cœur!

WLC ²⁰ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֶל־ הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ אַל־ יַחֲשָׁב־ לִ֣י אֲדֹנִי֮ עָוֺן֒ וְאַל־ תִּזְכֹּ֗ר אֵ֚ת אֲשֶׁ֣ר הֶעֱוָ֣ה עַבְדְּךָ֔ בַּיּ֕וֹם אֲשֶׁר־ יָׄצָ֥ׄאׄ אֲדֹנִֽי־ הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ מִירֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם לָשׂ֥וּם הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ אֶל־ לִבּֽוֹ׃

KJV ²¹ But Abishai the son of Zeruiah answered and said, Shall not Shimei be put to death for this, because he cursed the LORD's anointed?

S21 ²¹ En effet, moi ton serviteur, je reconnais que j'ai péché. Et aujourd'hui je suis le premier de toute la famille de Joseph à venir à la rencontre de mon seigneur le roi.»

WLC ²¹ כִּ֚י יָדַ֣ע עַבְדְּךָ֔ כִּ֖י אֲנִ֣י חָטָ֑אתִי וְהִנֵּֽה־ בָ֣אתִי הַיּ֗וֹם רִאשׁוֹן֙ לְכָל־ בֵּ֣ית יוֹסֵ֔ף לָרֶ֕דֶת לִקְרַ֖את אֲדֹנִ֥י הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃

KJV ²² And David said, What have I to do with you, ye sons of Zeruiah, that ye should this day be adversaries unto me? shall there any man be put to death this day in Israel? for do not I know that I am this day king over Israel?

S21 ²² Alors Abishaï, fils de Tseruja, prit la parole. Il dit: «Shimeï ne doit-il pas mourir pour avoir maudit celui que l'Eternel a désigné par onction?»

WLC ²² וַיַּ֨עַן אֲבִישַׁ֤י בֶּן־ צְרוּיָה֙ וַיֹּ֔אמֶר הֲתַ֣חַת זֹ֔את לֹ֥א יוּמַ֖ת שִׁמְעִ֑י כִּ֥י קִלֵּ֖ל אֶת־ מְשִׁ֥יחַ יְהוָֽה׃

KJV ²³ Therefore the king said unto Shimei, Thou shalt not die. And the king sware unto him.

S21 ²³ Mais David dit: «Qu'ai-je affaire avec vous, fils de Tseruja, et pourquoi êtes-vous aujourd'hui mes adversaires? Devrait-on faire mourir un homme en Israël aujourd'hui? N'ai-je donc pas la certitude que je règne aujourd'hui sur Israël?»

WLC ²³ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר דָּוִ֗ד מַה־ לִּ֤י וְלָכֶם֙ בְּנֵ֣י צְרוּיָ֔ה כִּי־ תִֽהְיוּ־ לִ֥י הַיּ֖וֹם לְשָׂטָ֑ן הַיּ֗וֹם י֤וּמַת אִישׁ֙ בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל כִּ֚י הֲל֣וֹא יָדַ֔עְתִּי כִּ֥י הַיּ֖וֹם אֲנִי־ מֶ֥לֶךְ עַל־ יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
