BAN ¹ Et David dit : Est-ce qu'il y a encore quelque survivant de la maison de Saül ? et je lui ferai du bien pour l'amour de Jonathan.

KJV ¹ And David said, Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may shew him kindness for Jonathan's sake?

S21 ¹ David demanda: «Reste-t-il encore quelqu'un de la famille de Saül, pour que je lui fasse du bien à cause de Jonathan?»

VULC ¹ Et dixit David : Putasne est aliquis qui remanserit de domo Saul, ut faciam cum eo misericordiam propter Jonathan ?

WLC ¹ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר דָּוִ֔ד הֲכִ֣י יֶשׁ־ ע֔וֹד אֲשֶׁ֥ר נוֹתַ֖ר לְבֵ֣ית שָׁא֑וּל וְאֶעֱשֶׂ֤ה עִמּוֹ֙ חֶ֔סֶד בַּעֲב֖וּר יְהוֹנָתָֽן׃

BAN ² Et il y avait un serviteur de la maison de Saül, nommé Tsiba. Et on le fit venir vers David, et le roi lui dit : Es-tu Tsiba ? Et il répondit : Ton serviteur !

KJV ² And there was of the house of Saul a servant whose name was Ziba. And when they had called him unto David, the king said unto him, Art thou Ziba? And he said, Thy servant is he.

S21 ² Il y avait un serviteur de la famille de Saül, un dénommé Tsiba, que l'on fit venir vers David. Le roi lui dit: «Es-tu Tsiba?» Il répondit: «Pour te servir!»

VULC ² Erat autem de domo Saul servus nomine Siba : quem cum vocasset rex ad se, dixit ei : Tune es Siba ? Et ille respondit : Ego sum servus tuus.

WLC ² וּלְבֵ֨ית שָׁא֥וּל עֶ֙בֶד֙ וּשְׁמ֣וֹ צִיבָ֔א וַיִּקְרְאוּ־ ל֖וֹ אֶל־ דָּוִ֑ד וַיֹּ֨אמֶר הַמֶּ֧לֶךְ אֵלָ֛יו הַאַתָּ֥ה צִיבָ֖א וַיֹּ֥אמֶר עַבְדֶּֽךָ׃

BAN ³ Et le roi dit : Ne reste-t-il personne de la maison de Saül à qui je puisse faire du bien de la part de Dieu ? Et Tsiba dit au roi : Il y a encore un fils de Jonathan perclus des deux pieds.

KJV ³ And the king said, Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may shew the kindness of God unto him? And Ziba said unto the king, Jonathan hath yet a son, which is lame on his feet.

S21 ³ Le roi dit: «N'y a-t-il plus personne de la famille de Saül, pour que je fasse preuve envers lui de la bonté de Dieu?» Tsiba répondit au roi: «Il y a encore un fils de Jonathan; il est handicapé aux deux jambes.»

VULC ³ Et ait rex : Numquid superest aliquis de domo Saul, ut faciam cum eo misericordiam Dei ? Dixitque Siba regi : Superest filius Jonathæ, debilis pedibus.

WLC ³ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ הַאֶ֨פֶס ע֥וֹד אִישׁ֙ לְבֵ֣ית שָׁא֔וּל וְאֶעֱשֶׂ֥ה עִמּ֖וֹ חֶ֣סֶד אֱלֹהִ֑ים וַיֹּ֤אמֶר צִיבָא֙ אֶל־ הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ ע֛וֹד בֵּ֥ן לִיהוֹנָתָ֖ן נְכֵ֥ה רַגְלָֽיִם׃

BAN ⁴ Et le roi lui dit : Où est-il ? Et Tsiba dit au roi : Il est chez Makir, fils d'Ammiel, à Lodébar.

KJV ⁴ And the king said unto him, Where is he? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he is in the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, in Lodebar.

S21 ⁴ Le roi lui demanda: «Où est-il?» Et Tsiba répondit au roi: «Il est chez Makir, fils d'Ammiel, à Lodebar.»

VULC ⁴ Ubi, inquit, est ? Et Siba ad regem : Ecce, ait, in domo est Machir filii Ammiel, in Lodabar.

BAN ⁵ Et le roi David l'envoya chercher de Lodébar, de la maison de Makir, fils d'Ammiel.

KJV ⁵ Then king David sent, and fetched him out of the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, from Lodebar.

BAN ⁶ Et quand Méphiboseth, fils de Jonathan, fils de Saül, fut arrivé auprès de David, il tomba sur sa face et se prosterna. Et David dit : Méphiboseth ! Et il dit : Voici ton serviteur.

KJV ⁶ Now when Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, was come unto David, he fell on his face, and did reverence. And David said, Mephibosheth. And he answered, Behold thy servant!

S21 ⁶ Mephibosheth, fils de Jonathan et petit-fils de Saül, vint vers David, tomba le visage contre terre et se prosterna. David dit: «Mephibosheth!» Il répondit: «Me voici, je suis ton serviteur.»

BAN ⁷ Et David lui dit : Ne crains point, car certainement je te ferai du bien pour l'amour de Jonathan, ton père ; et je te ferai rendre toutes les terres de Saül, ton père, et toi tu mangeras toujours à ma table.

KJV ⁷ And David said unto him, Fear not: for I will surely shew thee kindness for Jonathan thy father's sake, and will restore thee all the land of Saul thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually.

S21 ⁷ David lui dit: «N'aie pas peur, car je veux te faire du bien à cause de ton père Jonathan. Je te rendrai toutes les terres de Saül, ton grand-père, et tu mangeras toujours à ma table.»

VULC ⁷ Et ait ei David : Ne timeas, quia faciens faciam in te misericordiam propter Jonathan patrem tuum, et restituam tibi omnes agros Saul patris tui : et tu comedes panem in mensa mea semper.

WLC ⁷ וַיֹּאמֶר֩ ל֨וֹ דָוִ֜ד אַל־ תִּירָ֗א כִּ֣י עָשֹׂה֩ אֶעֱשֶׂ֨ה עִמְּךָ֥ חֶ֙סֶד֙ בַּֽעֲבוּר֙ יְהוֹנָתָ֣ן אָבִ֔יךָ וַהֲשִׁבֹתִ֣י לְךָ֔ אֶֽת־ כָּל־ שְׂדֵ֖ה שָׁא֣וּל אָבִ֑יךָ וְאַתָּ֗ה תֹּ֥אכַל לֶ֛חֶם עַל־ שֻׁלְחָנִ֖י תָּמִֽיד׃

BAN ⁸ Et il se prosterna, et dit : Qu'est ton serviteur pour que tu portes les regards sur un chien mort comme moi ?

KJV ⁸ And he bowed himself, and said, What is thy servant, that thou shouldest look upon such a dead dog as I am?

S21 ⁸ Mephibosheth se prosterna et dit: «Que suis-je, moi ton serviteur, pour que tu prêtes attention à un chien mort tel que moi?»

VULC ⁸ Qui adorans eum, dixit : Quis ego sum servus tuus, quoniam respexisti super canem mortuum similem mei ?

WLC ⁸ וַיִּשְׁתַּ֕חוּ וַיֹּ֖אמֶר מֶ֣ה עַבְדֶּ֑ךָ כִּ֣י פָנִ֔יתָ אֶל־ הַכֶּ֥לֶב הַמֵּ֖ת אֲשֶׁ֥ר כָּמֽוֹנִי׃
