²⁰ Mais dans une grande maison il n'y a pas que des vases d'or et d'argent, il y en a aussi de bois et de terre : les uns pour usage honorable, les autres pour usage vil. ²¹ Si donc quelqu'un se garde pur de ces choses-là, il sera un vase pour usage honorable, sanctifié, utile à son maître, propre à toute oeuvre bonne. ²² Fuis les passions de la jeunesse et recherche la justice, la foi, la charité et la paix, avec ceux qui invoquent le Seigneur d'un coeur pur.

²⁰ But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. ²¹ If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
   ²² Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
