BCC ⁴ Car ainsi parle Yahweh à la maison d'Israël : cherchez-moi et vivez !

KJV ⁴ For thus saith the LORD unto the house of Israel, Seek ye me, and ye shall live:

WLC ⁴ כִּ֣י כֹ֥ה אָמַ֛ר יְהוָ֖ה לְבֵ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל דִּרְשׁ֖וּנִי וִֽחְיֽוּ׃

BCC ⁵ Ne cherchez pas Béthel, ne venez pas à Galgala, ne passez pas à Bersabée ! Car Galgala sera emmené captif, et Béthel deviendra néant.

KJV ⁵ But seek not Bethel, nor enter into Gilgal, and pass not to Beersheba: for Gilgal shall surely go into captivity, and Bethel shall come to nought.

WLC ⁵ וְאַֽל־ תִּדְרְשׁוּ֙ בֵּֽית־ אֵ֔ל וְהַגִּלְגָּל֙ לֹ֣א תָבֹ֔אוּ וּבְאֵ֥ר שֶׁ֖בַע לֹ֣א תַעֲבֹ֑רוּ כִּ֤י הַגִּלְגָּל֙ גָּלֹ֣ה יִגְלֶ֔ה וּבֵֽית־ אֵ֖ל יִהְיֶ֥ה לְאָֽוֶן׃

BCC ⁶ Cherchez Yahweh et vivez, de peur qu'il ne fonde, comme un feu, sur la maison de Joseph, et ne la dévore, sans que Béthel ait personne pour éteindre.

KJV ⁶ Seek the LORD, and ye shall live; lest he break out like fire in the house of Joseph, and devour it, and there be none to quench it in Bethel.

WLC ⁶ דִּרְשׁ֥וּ אֶת־ יְהוָ֖ה וִֽחְי֑וּ פֶּן־ יִצְלַ֤ח כָּאֵשׁ֙ בֵּ֣ית יוֹסֵ֔ף וְאָכְלָ֥ה וְאֵין־ מְכַבֶּ֖ה לְבֵֽית־ אֵֽל׃

BCC ⁷ Ils changent le droit en absinthe, et jettent à terre la justice !

KJV ⁷ Ye who turn judgment to wormwood, and leave off righteousness in the earth,

WLC ⁷ הַהֹפְכִ֥ים לְלַעֲנָ֖ה מִשְׁפָּ֑ט וּצְדָקָ֖ה לָאָ֥רֶץ הִנִּֽיחוּ׃

BCC ⁸ Il a fait les Pléiades et Orion ; il change en aurore les ténèbres, et le jour en une nuit obscure ; il appelle les eaux de la mer, et les répand sur la face de la terre ; Yahweh est son nom.

KJV ⁸ Seek him that maketh the seven stars and Orion, and turneth the shadow of death into the morning, and maketh the day dark with night: that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name:

WLC ⁸ עֹשֵׂ֨ה כִימָ֜ה וּכְסִ֗יל וְהֹפֵ֤ךְ לַבֹּ֙קֶר֙ צַלְמָ֔וֶת וְי֖וֹם לַ֣יְלָה הֶחְשִׁ֑יךְ הַקּוֹרֵ֣א לְמֵֽי־ הַיָּ֗ם וַֽיִּשְׁפְּכֵ֛ם עַל־ פְּנֵ֥י הָאָ֖רֶץ יְהוָ֥ה שְׁמֽוֹ׃

BCC ⁹ Il fait éclater la ruine sur le puissant, et la ruine fond sur la ville forte.

KJV ⁹ That strengtheneth the spoiled against the strong, so that the spoiled shall come against the fortress.

WLC ⁹ הַמַּבְלִ֥יג שֹׁ֖ד עַל־ עָ֑ז וְשֹׁ֖ד עַל־ מִבְצָ֥ר יָבֽוֹא׃

BCC ¹⁰ Ils haïssent à la Porte celui qui censure ; et celui qui parle avec intégrité, ils l'ont en horreur.

KJV ¹⁰ They hate him that rebuketh in the gate, and they abhor him that speaketh uprightly.

WLC ¹⁰ שָׂנְא֥וּ בַשַּׁ֖עַר מוֹכִ֑יחַ וְדֹבֵ֥ר תָּמִ֖ים יְתָעֵֽבוּ׃

BCC ¹¹ C'est pourquoi, parce que vous foulez aux pieds le pauvre, et que vous prélevez sur lui un tribut de blé ; vous avez bâti des maisons en pierres de taille, et vous n'y habiterez pas, vous avez planté des vignes excellentes, et vous n'en boirez pas le vin.

KJV ¹¹ Forasmuch therefore as your treading is upon the poor, and ye take from him burdens of wheat: ye have built houses of hewn stone, but ye shall not dwell in them; ye have planted pleasant vineyards, but ye shall not drink wine of them.

WLC ¹¹ לָ֠כֵן יַ֣עַן בּוֹשַׁסְכֶ֞ם עַל־ דָּ֗ל וּמַשְׂאַת־ בַּר֙ תִּקְח֣וּ מִמֶּ֔נּוּ בָּתֵּ֥י גָזִ֛ית בְּנִיתֶ֖ם וְלֹא־ תֵ֣שְׁבוּ בָ֑ם כַּרְמֵי־ חֶ֣מֶד נְטַעְתֶּ֔ם וְלֹ֥א תִשְׁתּ֖וּ אֶת־ יֵינָֽם׃

BCC ¹² Car je sais que nombreux sont vos crimes, que grands sont vos péchés, vous qui opprimez le juste, qui prenez des présents, et qui faites fléchir le droit des pauvres à la Porte.

KJV ¹² For I know your manifold transgressions and your mighty sins: they afflict the just, they take a bribe, and they turn aside the poor in the gate from their right.

WLC ¹² כִּ֤י יָדַ֙עְתִּי֙ רַבִּ֣ים פִּשְׁעֵיכֶ֔ם וַעֲצֻמִ֖ים חַטֹּֽאתֵיכֶ֑ם צֹרְרֵ֤י צַדִּיק֙ לֹ֣קְחֵי כֹ֔פֶר וְאֶבְיוֹנִ֖ים בַּשַּׁ֥עַר הִטּֽוּ׃

BCC ¹³ C'est pourquoi l'homme sage, en ce temps-ci, se tait ; car c'est un temps mauvais.

KJV ¹³ Therefore the prudent shall keep silence in that time; for it is an evil time.

WLC ¹³ לָכֵ֗ן הַמַּשְׂכִּ֛יל בָּעֵ֥ת הַהִ֖יא יִדֹּ֑ם כִּ֛י עֵ֥ת רָעָ֖ה הִֽיא׃

BCC ¹⁴ Cherchez le bien et non le mal, afin que vous viviez, et qu'ainsi Yahweh, le Dieu des armées, soit avec vous, comme vous le dites.

KJV ¹⁴ Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live: and so the LORD, the God of hosts, shall be with you, as ye have spoken.

WLC ¹⁴ דִּרְשׁוּ־ ט֥וֹב וְאַל־ רָ֖ע לְמַ֣עַן תִּֽחְי֑וּ וִיהִי־ כֵ֞ן יְהוָ֧ה אֱלֹהֵֽי־ צְבָא֛וֹת אִתְּכֶ֖ם כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר אֲמַרְתֶּֽם׃

BCC ¹⁵ Haïssez le mal et aimez le bien, et restaurez le droit à la Porte ; peut-être Yahweh, le Dieu des armées, aura-t-il pitié du reste de Joseph !

KJV ¹⁵ Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph.

WLC ¹⁵ שִׂנְאוּ־ רָע֙ וְאֶ֣הֱבוּ ט֔וֹב וְהַצִּ֥יגוּ בַשַּׁ֖עַר מִשְׁפָּ֑ט אוּלַ֗י יֶֽחֱנַ֛ן יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵֽי־ צְבָא֖וֹת שְׁאֵרִ֥ית יוֹסֵֽף׃
