² And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth, ³ And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices. ⁴ And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not. ⁵ And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven,

² καὶ εἴχεν ἐν τῇ χειρὶ αὐτοῦ βιβλαρίδιον ἀνεῳγμένον καὶ ἔθηκεν τὸν πόδα αὐτοῦ τὸν δεξιὸν ἐπὶ τὴν θάλασσαν τὸν δὲ εὐώνυμον ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν ³ καὶ ἔκραξεν φωνῇ μεγάλῃ ὥσπερ λέων μυκᾶται καὶ ὅτε ἔκραξεν ἐλάλησαν αἱ ἑπτὰ βρονταὶ τὰς ἑαυτῶν φωνάς ⁴ καὶ ὅτε ἐλάλησαν αἱ ἑπτὰ βρονταί τὰς φωνὰς ἑαυτῶν ἔμελλον γράφειν καὶ ἤκουσα φωνὴν ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ λέγουσαν μοι σφράγισον ἃ ἐλάλησαν αἱ ἑπτὰ βρονταί καὶ μὴ ταὐτὰ γράψῃς ⁵ καὶ ὁ ἄγγελος ὃν εἶδον ἑστῶτα ἐπὶ τῆς θαλάσσης καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἦρεν τὴν χεῖρα αὐτοῦ εἰς τὸν οὐρανὸν

   ² et habebat in manu sua libellum apertum : et posuit pedem suum dextrum super mare, sinistrum autem super terram :
   ³ et clamavit voce magna, quemadmodum cum leo rugit. Et cum clamasset, locuta sunt septem tonitrua voces suas.
   ⁴ Et cum locuta fuissent septem tonitrua voces suas, ego scripturus eram : et audivi vocem de cælo dicentem mihi : Signa quæ locuta sunt septem tonitrua : et noli ea scribere.
   ⁵ Et angelus, quem vidi stantem super mare et super terram, levavit manum suam ad cælum :
