BCC ¹⁰ Et voici qu'une main me toucha et me fit dresser sur mes genoux et sur les paumes de mes mains.

KJV ¹⁰ And, behold, an hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands.

WLC ¹⁰ וְהִנֵּה־ יָ֖ד נָ֣גְעָה בִּ֑י וַתְּנִיעֵ֥נִי עַל־ בִּרְכַּ֖י וְכַפּ֥וֹת יָדָֽי׃

BCC ¹¹ Puis il me dit « Daniel, homme favorisé de Dieu, comprends les paroles que je vais te dire et tiens-toi debout ; car je suis maintenant envoyé vers toi. « Quand il m'eut parlé en ces termes, je me tins debout en tremblant.

KJV ¹¹ And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.

WLC ¹¹ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלַ֡י דָּנִיֵּ֣אל אִישׁ־ חֲ֠מֻדוֹת הָבֵ֨ן בַּדְּבָרִ֜ים אֲשֶׁר֩ אָנֹכִ֨י דֹבֵ֤ר אֵלֶ֙יךָ֙ וַעֲמֹ֣ד עַל־ עָמְדֶ֔ךָ כִּ֥י עַתָּ֖ה שֻׁלַּ֣חְתִּי אֵלֶ֑יךָ וּבְדַבְּר֥וֹ עִמִּ֛י אֶת־ הַדָּבָ֥ר הַזֶּ֖ה עָמַ֥דְתִּי מַרְעִֽיד׃

BCC ¹² Il me dit : »Ne crains point, Daniel, car dès le premier jour où tu as appliqué ton coeur à comprendre et à t'humilier devant ton Dieu, tes paroles ont été entendues, et moi, je suis venu à cause de tes paroles.

KJV ¹² Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.

WLC ¹² וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלַי֮ אַל־ תִּירָ֣א דָנִיֵּאל֒ כִּ֣י ׀ מִן־ הַיּ֣וֹם הָרִאשׁ֗וֹן אֲשֶׁ֨ר נָתַ֧תָּ אֶֽת־ לִבְּךָ֛ לְהָבִ֧ין וּלְהִתְעַנּ֛וֹת לִפְנֵ֥י אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ נִשְׁמְע֣וּ דְבָרֶ֑יךָ וַאֲנִי־ בָ֖אתִי בִּדְבָרֶֽיךָ׃

BCC ¹³ Mais le chef du royaume de Perse s'est tenu devant moi vingt et un jours, et voici que Michel, un des premiers chefs, est venu à mon secours, et je suis resté là auprès des rois de Perse.

KJV ¹³ But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.

WLC ¹³ וְשַׂ֣ר ׀ מַלְכ֣וּת פָּרַ֗ס עֹמֵ֤ד לְנֶגְדִּי֙ עֶשְׂרִ֣ים וְאֶחָ֣ד י֔וֹם וְהִנֵּ֣ה מִֽיכָאֵ֗ל אַחַ֛ד הַשָּׂרִ֥ים הָרִאשֹׁנִ֖ים בָּ֣א לְעָזְרֵ֑נִי וַאֲנִי֙ נוֹתַ֣רְתִּי שָׁ֔ם אֵ֖צֶל מַלְכֵ֥י פָרָֽס׃

BCC ¹⁴ Et je suis venu pour te faire comprendre ce qui doit arriver à ton peuple à la fin des jours ; car c'est encore une vision pour des jours lointains.

KJV ¹⁴ Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days.

WLC ¹⁴ וּבָ֙אתִי֙ לַהֲבִ֣ינְךָ֔ אֵ֛ת אֲשֶׁר־ יִקְרָ֥ה לְעַמְּךָ֖ בְּאַחֲרִ֣ית הַיָּמִ֑ים כִּי־ ע֥וֹד חָז֖וֹן לַיָּמִֽים׃

BCC ¹⁵ Pendant qu'il parlait avec moi en ces termes, je tournais la face vers la terre et je restais muet.

KJV ¹⁵ And when he had spoken such words unto me, I set my face toward the ground, and I became dumb.

WLC ¹⁵ וּבְדַבְּר֣וֹ עִמִּ֔י כַּדְּבָרִ֖ים הָאֵ֑לֶּה נָתַ֧תִּי פָנַ֛י אַ֖רְצָה וְנֶאֱלָֽמְתִּי׃

BCC ¹⁶ Et voici : comme une ressemblance de fils de l'homme toucha mes lèvres, et j'ouvris la bouche et je parlai ; je dis à celui qui se tenait devant moi : « Mon seigneur, à cette apparition, les angoisses m'ont saisi et je n'ai conservé aucune force.

KJV ¹⁶ And, behold, one like the similitude of the sons of men touched my lips: then I opened my mouth, and spake, and said unto him that stood before me, O my lord, by the vision my sorrows are turned upon me, and I have retained no strength.

WLC ¹⁶ וְהִנֵּ֗ה כִּדְמוּת֙ בְּנֵ֣י אָדָ֔ם נֹגֵ֖עַ עַל־ שְׂפָתָ֑י וָאֶפְתַּח־ פִּ֗י וָאֲדַבְּרָה֙ וָאֹֽמְרָה֙ אֶל־ הָעֹמֵ֣ד לְנֶגְדִּ֔י אֲדֹנִ֗י בַּמַּרְאָה֙ נֶהֶפְכ֤וּ צִירַי֙ עָלַ֔י וְלֹ֥א עָצַ֖רְתִּי כֹּֽחַ׃

BCC ¹⁷ Comment le serviteur de mon seigneur que voici pourrait-il parler à mon seigneur que voilà ? En ce moment, il n'y a plus de force en moi et il ne reste plus de souffle en moi. »

KJV ¹⁷ For how can the servant of this my lord talk with this my lord? for as for me, straightway there remained no strength in me, neither is there breath left in me.

WLC ¹⁷ וְהֵ֣יךְ יוּכַ֗ל עֶ֤בֶד אֲדֹנִי֙ זֶ֔ה לְדַבֵּ֖ר עִם־ אֲדֹ֣נִי זֶ֑ה וַאֲנִ֤י מֵעַ֙תָּה֙ לֹֽא־ יַעֲמָד־ בִּ֣י כֹ֔חַ וּנְשָׁמָ֖ה לֹ֥א נִשְׁאֲרָה־ בִֽי׃

BCC ¹⁸ Alors celui qui avait la ressemblance d'un homme me toucha de nouveau et me fortifia.

KJV ¹⁸ Then there came again and touched me one like the appearance of a man, and he strengthened me,

WLC ¹⁸ וַיֹּ֧סֶף וַיִּגַּע־ בִּ֛י כְּמַרְאֵ֥ה אָדָ֖ם וַֽיְחַזְּקֵֽנִי׃

BCC ¹⁹ Puis il me dit : « Ne crains point, homme favorisé de Dieu ; que la paix soit avec toi ! Courage ! courage ! « Pendant qu'il parlait avec moi, je repris des forces et je dis :« Que mon seigneur parle, car tu m'as fortifié. »

KJV ¹⁹ And said, O man greatly beloved, fear not: peace be unto thee, be strong, yea, be strong. And when he had spoken unto me, I was strengthened, and said, Let my lord speak; for thou hast strengthened me.

WLC ¹⁹ וַיֹּ֜אמֶר אַל־ תִּירָ֧א אִישׁ־ חֲמֻד֛וֹת שָׁל֥וֹם לָ֖ךְ חֲזַ֣ק וַחֲזָ֑ק וּֽבְדַבְּר֤וֹ עִמִּי֙ הִתְחַזַּ֔קְתִּי וָאֹֽמְרָ֛ה יְדַבֵּ֥ר אֲדֹנִ֖י כִּ֥י חִזַּקְתָּֽנִי׃

BCC ²⁰ Il me dit : « Sais-tu pourquoi je suis venu vers toi ? Maintenant, je vais retourner combattre le chef de la Perse ; et, au moment où je m'en irai, voici le chef de Javan qui viendra.

KJV ²⁰ Then said he, Knowest thou wherefore I come unto thee? and now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia: and when I am gone forth, lo, the prince of Grecia shall come.

WLC ²⁰ וַיֹּ֗אמֶר הֲיָדַ֙עְתָּ֙ לָמָּה־ בָּ֣אתִי אֵלֶ֔יךָ וְעַתָּ֣ה אָשׁ֔וּב לְהִלָּחֵ֖ם עִם־ שַׂ֣ר פָּרָ֑ס וַאֲנִ֣י יוֹצֵ֔א וְהִנֵּ֥ה שַׂר־ יָוָ֖ן בָּֽא׃

BCC ²¹ Mais je te déclarerai ce qui est écrit dans le livre de vérité ; et il n'y en a pas un qui se tienne avec moi contre ceux-là, sinon Michel, votre chef.

KJV ²¹ But I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and there is none that holdeth with me in these things, but Michael your prince.

WLC ²¹ אֲבָל֙ אַגִּ֣יד לְךָ֔ אֶת־ הָרָשׁ֥וּם בִּכְתָ֖ב אֱמֶ֑ת וְאֵ֨ין אֶחָ֜ד מִתְחַזֵּ֤ק עִמִּי֙ עַל־ אֵ֔לֶּה כִּ֥י אִם־ מִיכָאֵ֖ל שַׂרְכֶֽם׃
