BAN ¹⁵ Et pour moi, Daniel, je fus troublé en mon esprit au-dedans de moi et les visions de ma tête m'effrayèrent.

KJV ¹⁵ I Daniel was grieved in my spirit in the midst of my body, and the visions of my head troubled me.

WLC ¹⁵ אֶתְכְּרִיַּ֥ת רוּחִ֛י אֲנָ֥ה דָנִיֵּ֖אל בְּג֣וֹא נִדְנֶ֑ה וְחֶזְוֵ֥י רֵאשִׁ֖י יְבַהֲלֻנַּֽנִי׃

BAN ¹⁶ Je m'approchai de l'un de ceux qui se tenaient debout pour lui demander quelque chose de certain sur tout cela, et il me parla pour m'en donner l'explication.

KJV ¹⁶ I came near unto one of them that stood by, and asked him the truth of all this. So he told me, and made me know the interpretation of the things.

WLC ¹⁶ קִרְבֵ֗ת עַל־ חַד֙ מִן־ קָ֣אֲמַיָּ֔א וְיַצִּיבָ֥א אֶבְעֵֽא־ מִנֵּ֖הּ עַֽל־ כָּל־ דְּנָ֑ה וַאֲמַר־ לִ֕י וּפְשַׁ֥ר מִלַּיָּ֖א יְהוֹדְעִנַּֽנִי׃

BAN ¹⁷ Ces bêtes très grandes qui sont au nombre de quatre, ce sont quatre rois qui s'élèveront de la terre ;

KJV ¹⁷ These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth.

WLC ¹⁷ אִלֵּין֙ חֵיוָתָ֣א רַבְרְבָתָ֔א דִּ֥י אִנִּ֖ין אַרְבַּ֑ע אַרְבְּעָ֥ה מַלְכִ֖ין יְקוּמ֥וּן מִן־ אַרְעָֽא׃

BAN ¹⁸ mais les saints du Très-Haut recevront le royaume, et ils posséderont le royaume à toujours, en éternité d'éternités.

KJV ¹⁸ But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever.

WLC ¹⁸ וִֽיקַבְּלוּן֙ מַלְכוּתָ֔א קַדִּישֵׁ֖י עֶלְיוֹנִ֑ין וְיַחְסְנ֤וּן מַלְכוּתָא֙ עַֽד־ עָ֣לְמָ֔א וְעַ֖ד עָלַ֥ם עָלְמַיָּֽא׃

BAN ¹⁹ Alors je voulus avoir une certitude touchant la quatrième bête qui était différente de toutes les autres, extraordinairement terrible, dont les dents étaient de fer et les griffes d'airain, qui mangeait, brisait et foulait aux pieds ce qui restait ;

KJV ¹⁹ Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful, whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of brass; which devoured, brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with his feet;

WLC ¹⁹ אֱדַ֗יִן צְבִית֙ לְיַצָּבָ֔א עַל־ חֵֽיוְתָא֙ רְבִיעָ֣יְתָ֔א דִּֽי־ הֲוָ֥ת שָֽׁנְיָ֖ה מִן־ דְּחִילָ֣ה יַתִּ֗ירָה דִּֽי־ פַרְזֶל֙ וְטִפְרַ֣יהּ דִּֽי־ נְחָ֔שׁ אָֽכְלָ֣ה מַדֲּקָ֔ה וּשְׁאָרָ֖א בְּרַגְלַ֥יהּ רָֽפְסָֽה׃

BAN ²⁰ et touchant les dix cornes qui étaient sur sa tête, et touchant l'autre corne qui était sortie et devant laquelle trois étaient tombées, cette corne qui avait des yeux et une bouche proférant de grandes choses, et qui paraissait plus grande que ses compagnes.

KJV ²⁰ And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows.

WLC ²⁰ וְעַל־ קַרְנַיָּ֤א עֲשַׂר֙ דִּ֣י בְרֵאשַׁ֔הּ וְאָחֳרִי֙ דִּ֣י סִלְקַ֔ת מִן־ תְּלָ֑ת וְקַרְנָ֨א דִכֵּ֜ן וְעַיְנִ֣ין לַ֗הּ וְפֻם֙ מְמַלִּ֣ל רַבְרְבָ֔ן וְחֶזְוַ֖הּ רַ֥ב מִן־ חַבְרָתַֽהּ׃

BAN ²¹ J'ai contemplé, et cette corne faisait la guerre aux saints et l'emportait sur eux,

KJV ²¹ I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them;

WLC ²¹ חָזֵ֣ה הֲוֵ֔ית וְקַרְנָ֣א דִכֵּ֔ן עָבְדָ֥ה קְרָ֖ב עִם־ קַדִּישִׁ֑ין וְיָכְלָ֖ה לְהֽוֹן׃

BAN ²² jusqu'à ce que le vieillard vint et que le jugement fut donné aux saints du souverain et que le temps arriva où les saints possédèrent le royaume.

KJV ²² Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.

WLC ²² עַ֣ד דִּֽי־ אֲתָ֗ה עַתִּיק֙ יֽוֹמַיָּ֔א וְדִינָ֣א יְהִ֔ב לְקַדִּישֵׁ֖י עֶלְיוֹנִ֑ין וְזִמְנָ֣א מְטָ֔ה וּמַלְכוּתָ֖א הֶחֱסִ֥נוּ קַדִּישִֽׁין׃

BAN ²³ Il me parla ainsi : la quatrième bête, c'est un quatrième royaume qui sera sur la terre, qui différera de tous les royaumes et qui dévorera toute la terre, la foulera et la réduira en poudre.

KJV ²³ Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.

WLC ²³ כֵּן֮ אֲמַר֒ חֵֽיוְתָא֙ רְבִיעָ֣יְתָ֔א מַלְכ֤וּ תֶּהֱוֵ֣א בְאַרְעָ֔א דִּ֥י תִשְׁנֵ֖א מִן־ כָּל־ מַלְכְוָתָ֑א וְתֵאכֻל֙ כָּל־ אַרְעָ֔א וּתְדוּשִׁנַּ֖הּ וְתַדְּקִנַּֽהּ׃

BAN ²⁴ Ses dix cornes signifient que de ce royaume se lèveront dix rois ; un autre se lèvera après eux, et celui-ci différera des précédents et abattra trois rois.

KJV ²⁴ And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.

WLC ²⁴ וְקַרְנַיָּ֣א עֲשַׂ֔ר מִנַּהּ֙ מַלְכוּתָ֔ה עַשְׂרָ֥ה מַלְכִ֖ין יְקֻמ֑וּן וְאָחֳרָ֞ן יְק֣וּם אַחֲרֵיה֗וֹן וְה֤וּא יִשְׁנֵא֙ מִן־ קַדְמָיֵ֔א וּתְלָתָ֥ה מַלְכִ֖ין יְהַשְׁפִּֽל׃

BAN ²⁵ Il proférera des paroles contre le Très-Haut, il opprimera les saints du Très-Haut et se proposera de changer temps et loi, et les saints seront livrés en sa main jusqu'à un temps, des temps, et une moitié de temps.

KJV ²⁵ And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

WLC ²⁵ וּמִלִּ֗ין לְצַ֤ד יְמַלִּ֔ל וּלְקַדִּישֵׁ֥י עֶלְיוֹנִ֖ין יְבַלֵּ֑א וְיִסְבַּ֗ר לְהַשְׁנָיָה֙ זִמְנִ֣ין וְדָ֔ת וְיִתְיַהֲב֣וּן בִּידֵ֔הּ עַד־ עִדָּ֥ן וְעִדָּנִ֖ין וּפְלַ֥ג עִדָּֽן׃

BAN ²⁶ Et le jugement se tiendra, et on lui ôtera sa domination pour le détruire et l'anéantir pour toujours.

KJV ²⁶ But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end.

WLC ²⁶ וְדִינָ֖א יִתִּ֑ב וְשָׁלְטָנֵ֣הּ יְהַעְדּ֔וֹן לְהַשְׁמָדָ֥ה וּלְהוֹבָדָ֖ה עַד־ סוֹפָֽא׃

BAN ²⁷ Et le règne et la domination et la grandeur des royaumes qui sont sous tous les cieux seront donnés au peuple des saints du souverain ; son règne est un règne éternel, et toutes les puissances le serviront et lui obéiront.

KJV ²⁷ And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.

WLC ²⁷ וּמַלְכוּתָ֨ה וְשָׁלְטָנָ֜א וּרְבוּתָ֗א דִּ֚י מַלְכְוָת֙ תְּח֣וֹת כָּל־ שְׁמַיָּ֔א יְהִיבַ֕ת לְעַ֖ם קַדִּישֵׁ֣י עֶלְיוֹנִ֑ין מַלְכוּתֵהּ֙ מַלְכ֣וּת עָלַ֔ם וְכֹל֙ שָׁלְטָ֣נַיָּ֔א לֵ֥הּ יִפְלְח֖וּן וְיִֽשְׁתַּמְּעֽוּן׃

BAN ²⁸ Voilà la fin de ce qui me fut dit. Moi, Daniel, mes pensées m'effrayèrent beaucoup, je changeai de couleur, et la chose resta dans mon coeur.

KJV ²⁸ Hitherto is the end of the matter. As for me Daniel, my cogitations much troubled me, and my countenance changed in me: but I kept the matter in my heart.

WLC ²⁸ עַד־ כָּ֖ה סוֹפָ֣א דִֽי־ מִלְּתָ֑א אֲנָ֨ה דָֽנִיֵּ֜אל שַׂגִּ֣יא ׀ רַעְיוֹנַ֣י יְבַהֲלֻנַּ֗נִי וְזִיוַי֙ יִשְׁתַּנּ֣וֹן עֲלַ֔י וּמִלְּתָ֖א בְּלִבִּ֥י נִטְרֵֽת׃
