Dt 3:21-29 (Darby)

   ²¹ Et je commandai à Josué en ce temps-là, disant : Tes yeux ont vu tout ce que l'Éternel, votre Dieu, a fait à ces deux rois ; l'Éternel fera ainsi à tous les royaumes où tu vas passer. ²² Ne les craignez pas ; car l'Éternel, votre Dieu, est celui qui combat pour vous. ²³ Et en ce temps-là, je supplia l'Éternel, disant : ²⁴ Seigneur Éternel ! tu as commencé à faire voir à ton serviteur ta grandeur et ta main forte, car quel est le *Dieu*, dans les cieux et sur la terre, qui fasse [des œuvres] comme tes œuvres et selon ta force ? ²⁵ Que je passe, je te prie, et que je voie ce bon pays qui est au delà du Jourdain, cette bonne montagne, et le Liban. ²⁶ - Et l'Éternel fut irrité contre moi à cause de vous, et il ne m'écouta point ; et l'Éternel me dit : C'est assez, ne me parle plus de cette affaire. ²⁷ Monte au sommet du Pisga, et élève tes yeux vers l'occident, et vers le nord, et vers le midi, et vers le levant, et regarde de tes yeux ; car tu ne passeras pas ce Jourdain. ²⁸ Mais commande à Josué, et fortifie-le et affermis-le ; car lui, passera devant ce peuple, et lui, les mettra en possession du pays que tu verras. ²⁹ Et nous habitâmes dans la vallée, vis-à-vis de Beth-Péor.

   ²¹ And I commanded Joshua at that time, saying, Thine eyes have seen all that the LORD your God hath done unto these two kings: so shall the LORD do unto all the kingdoms whither thou passest. ²² Ye shall not fear them: for the LORD your God he shall fight for you. ²³ And I besought the LORD at that time, saying, ²⁴ O Lord GOD, thou hast begun to shew thy servant thy greatness, and thy mighty hand: for what God is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to thy works, and according to thy might? ²⁵ I pray thee, let me go over, and see the good land that is beyond Jordan, that goodly mountain, and Lebanon. ²⁶ But the LORD was wroth with me for your sakes, and would not hear me: and the LORD said unto me, Let it suffice thee; speak no more unto me of this matter. ²⁷ Get thee up into the top of Pisgah, and lift up thine eyes westward, and northward, and southward, and eastward, and behold it with thine eyes: for thou shalt not go over this Jordan. ²⁸ But charge Joshua, and encourage him, and strengthen him: for he shall go over before this people, and he shall cause them to inherit the land which thou shalt see. ²⁹ So we abode in the valley over against Bethpeor.

   ²¹ Josue quoque in tempore illo præcepi, dicens : Oculi tui viderunt quæ fecit Dominus Deus vester duobus his regibus : sic faciet omnibus regnis, ad quæ transiturus es.
   ²² Ne timeas eos : Dominus enim Deus vester pugnabit pro vobis.
   ²³ Precatusque sum Dominum in tempore illo, dicens :
   ²⁴ Domine Deus, tu cœpisti ostendere servo tuo magnitudinem tuam, manumque fortissimam : neque enim est alius deus vel in cælo, vel in terra, qui possit facere opera tua, et comparari fortitudini tuæ.
   ²⁵ Transibo igitur, et videbo terram hanc optimam trans Jordanem, et montem istum egregium, et Libanum.
   ²⁶ Iratusque est Dominus mihi propter vos, nec exaudivit me, sed dixit mihi : Sufficit tibi : nequaquam ultra loquaris de hac re ad me.
   ²⁷ Ascende cacumen Phasgæ, et oculos tuos circumfer ad occidentem, et ad aquilonem, austrumque et orientem, et aspice ; nec enim transibis Jordanem istum.
   ²⁸ Præcipe Josue, et corrobora eum atque conforta : quia ipse præcedet populum istum, et dividet eis terram quam visurus es.
   ²⁹ Mansimusque in valle contra fanum Phogor.
