   ²¹ And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man: ²² All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died. ²³ And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark. ²⁴ And the waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days.

   ²¹ Et toute chair qui se mouvait sur la terre expira, tant des oiseaux que du bétail, des bêtes à quatre pieds, et de tous les reptiles qui se traînent sur la terre, et tous les hommes. ²² Toutes les choses qui étaient sur le sec, ayant respiration de vie en leurs narines, moururent. ²³ Tout ce donc qui subsistait sur la terre fut donc exterminé, depuis les hommes jusques aux bêtes, jusques aux reptiles, et jusques aux oiseaux des cieux ; ils furent, dis-je, exterminés de dessus la terre ; mais seulement Noé, et ce qui était avec lui dans l'arche, demeura de reste. ²⁴ Et les eaux se maintinrent sur la terre durant cent cinquante jours.
