DRB ¹ Et l'Éternel me dit : Quand Moïse et Samuel se tiendraient devant moi, mon âme ne serait pas [tournée] vers ce peuple ; renvoie-les de devant moi, et qu'ils sortent.

KJV ¹ Then said the LORD unto me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind could not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them go forth.

DRB ² Et il arrivera que, s'ils te disent : Où sortirons-nous ? tu leur diras : Ainsi dit l'Éternel : Ceux qui sont pour la mort, à la mort ; et ceux qui sont pour l'épée, à l'épée ; et ceux qui sont pour la famine, à la famine ; et ceux qui sont pour la captivité, à la captivité.

KJV ² And it shall come to pass, if they say unto thee, Whither shall we go forth? then thou shalt tell them, Thus saith the LORD; Such as are for death, to death; and such as are for the sword, to the sword; and such as are for the famine, to the famine; and such as are for the captivity, to the captivity.

WLC ² וְהָיָ֛ה כִּֽי־ יֹאמְר֥וּ אֵלֶ֖יךָ אָ֣נָה נֵצֵ֑א וְאָמַרְתָּ֨ אֲלֵיהֶ֜ם כֹּֽה־ אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר לַמָּ֤וֶת לַמָּ֙וֶת֙ וַאֲשֶׁ֤ר לַחֶ֙רֶב֙ לַחֶ֔רֶב וַאֲשֶׁ֤ר לָֽרָעָב֙ לָֽרָעָ֔ב וַאֲשֶׁ֥ר לַשְּׁבִ֖י לַשֶּֽׁבִי׃

DRB ³ Et j'établirai sur eux quatre espèces de punitions*, dit l'Éternel : l'épée pour tuer, et les chiens pour traîner, et les oiseaux des cieux et les bêtes de la terre pour dévorer et pour détruire.

KJV ³ And I will appoint over them four kinds, saith the LORD: the sword to slay, and the dogs to tear, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the earth, to devour and destroy.

WLC ³ וּפָקַדְתִּ֨י עֲלֵיהֶ֜ם אַרְבַּ֤ע מִשְׁפָּחוֹת֙ נְאֻם־ יְהוָ֔ה אֶת־ הַחֶ֣רֶב לַֽהֲרֹ֔ג וְאֶת־ הַכְּלָבִ֖ים לִסְחֹ֑ב וְאֶת־ ע֧וֹף הַשָּׁמַ֛יִם וְאֶת־ בֶּהֱמַ֥ת הָאָ֖רֶץ לֶאֱכֹ֥ל וּלְהַשְׁחִֽית׃

DRB ⁴ Et je les livrerai pour être chassés çà et là* par tous les royaumes de la terre, à cause de Manassé, fils d'Ézéchias, roi de Juda, pour ce qu'il a fait dans Jérusalem.

KJV ⁴ And I will cause them to be removed into all kingdoms of the earth, because of Manasseh the son of Hezekiah king of Judah, for that which he did in Jerusalem.

WLC ⁴ וּנְתַתִּ֣ים לְכֹ֖ל מַמְלְכ֣וֹת הָאָ֑רֶץ בִּ֠גְלַל מְנַשֶּׁ֤ה בֶן־ יְחִזְקִיָּ֙הוּ֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֔ה עַ֥ל אֲשֶׁר־ עָשָׂ֖ה בִּירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃

DRB ⁵ Car qui aurait compassion de toi, Jérusalem, et qui te plaindrait ? et qui se détournerait pour s'enquérir de ta paix ?

KJV ⁵ For who shall have pity upon thee, O Jerusalem? or who shall bemoan thee? or who shall go aside to ask how thou doest?

WLC ⁵ כִּ֠י מִֽי־ יַחְמֹ֤ל עָלַ֙יִךְ֙ יְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם וּמִ֖י יָנ֣וּד לָ֑ךְ וּמִ֣י יָס֔וּר לִשְׁאֹ֥ל לְשָׁלֹ֖ם לָֽךְ׃

DRB ⁶ Tu m'as délaissé, dit l'Éternel, tu t'en es allée en arrière ; et j'ai étendu ma main sur toi, et je te détruirai : je suis las de me repentir.

KJV ⁶ Thou hast forsaken me, saith the LORD, thou art gone backward: therefore will I stretch out my hand against thee, and destroy thee; I am weary with repenting.

WLC ⁶ אַ֣תְּ נָטַ֥שְׁתְּ אֹתִ֛י נְאֻם־ יְהוָ֖ה אָח֣וֹר תֵּלֵ֑כִי וָאַ֨ט אֶת־ יָדִ֤י עָלַ֙יִךְ֙ וָֽאַשְׁחִיתֵ֔ךְ נִלְאֵ֖יתִי הִנָּחֵֽם׃

DRB ⁷ Je les vannerai avec un van aux portes du pays ; je priverai d'enfants [et] je ferai périr mon peuple : ils ne reviennent pas de leurs voies.

KJV ⁷ And I will fan them with a fan in the gates of the land; I will bereave them of children, I will destroy my people since they return not from their ways.

WLC ⁷ וָאֶזְרֵ֥ם בְּמִזְרֶ֖ה בְּשַׁעֲרֵ֣י הָאָ֑רֶץ שִׁכַּ֤לְתִּי אִבַּ֙דְתִּי֙ אֶת־ עַמִּ֔י מִדַּרְכֵיהֶ֖ם לוֹא־ שָֽׁבוּ׃

DRB ⁸ Les veuves sont multipliées devant moi plus que le sable des mers ; je fais venir contre eux, sur la mère des jeunes hommes, un dévastateur en plein midi ; je fais tomber sur elle subitement l'angoisse et l'épouvante ;

KJV ⁸ Their widows are increased to me above the sand of the seas: I have brought upon them against the mother of the young men a spoiler at noonday: I have caused him to fall upon it suddenly, and terrors upon the city.

WLC ⁸ עָֽצְמוּ־ לִ֤י אַלְמְנֹתָו֙ מֵח֣וֹל יַמִּ֔ים הֵבֵ֨אתִי לָהֶ֥ם עַל־ אֵ֛ם בָּח֖וּר שֹׁדֵ֣ד בַּֽצָּהֳרָ֑יִם הִפַּ֤לְתִּי עָלֶ֙יהָ֙ פִּתְאֹ֔ם עִ֖יר וּבֶהָלֽוֹת׃

DRB ⁹ celle qui en avait enfanté sept languit, elle rend l'âme ; son soleil s'est couché pendant qu'il faisait encore jour ; elle est couverte de honte et d'opprobre. Et ce qui reste d'eux, je le livrerai à l'épée devant leurs ennemis, dit l'Éternel.

KJV ⁹ She that hath borne seven languisheth: she hath given up the ghost; her sun is gone down while it was yet day: she hath been ashamed and confounded: and the residue of them will I deliver to the sword before their enemies, saith the LORD.

DRB ¹⁰ Malheur à moi, ma mère ! de ce que tu m'as enfanté homme de débat et homme de contestation à tout le pays ; je n'ai pas prêté à usure, on ne m'a pas prêté à usure, [et] chacun me maudit !

KJV ¹⁰ Woe is me, my mother, that thou hast borne me a man of strife and a man of contention to the whole earth! I have neither lent on usury, nor men have lent to me on usury; yet every one of them doth curse me.

DRB ¹¹ L'Éternel dit : Si je ne te délivre pour le bien ! Si je ne fais venir au-devant de toi l'ennemi, au temps du malheur, et au temps de la détresse !

KJV ¹¹ The LORD said, Verily it shall be well with thy remnant; verily I will cause the enemy to entreat thee well in the time of evil and in the time of affliction.

DRB ¹² Le fer se brisera-t-il, le fer du nord et l'airain ? -

KJV ¹² Shall iron break the northern iron and the steel?

WLC ¹² הֲיָרֹ֨עַ בַּרְזֶ֧ל ׀ בַּרְזֶ֛ל מִצָּפ֖וֹן וּנְחֹֽשֶׁת׃

DRB ¹³ Tes biens et tes trésors, je les livrerai au pillage, sans en faire le prix, et [cela] à cause de tous tes péchés, et dans tous tes confins ;

KJV ¹³ Thy substance and thy treasures will I give to the spoil without price, and that for all thy sins, even in all thy borders.

DRB ¹⁴ et je [les]* ferai passer avec tes ennemis dans un pays que tu ne connais pas ; car un feu est allumé dans ma colère, il brûlera contre vous.

KJV ¹⁴ And I will make thee to pass with thine enemies into a land which thou knowest not: for a fire is kindled in mine anger, which shall burn upon you.

DRB ¹⁵ Tu le sais, ô Éternel ! Souviens-toi de moi, et visite-moi, et venge-moi de mes persécuteurs. Selon la lenteur de ta colère, ne m'enlève pas ; sache que, pour toi, je porte l'opprobre.

KJV ¹⁵ O LORD, thou knowest: remember me, and visit me, and revenge me of my persecutors; take me not away in thy longsuffering: know that for thy sake I have suffered rebuke.

KJV ¹⁶ Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.

DRB ¹⁷ Je ne me suis pas assis dans l'assemblée* des moqueurs, ni ne me suis égayé : à cause de ta main, je me suis assis solitaire, parce que tu m'as rempli d'indignation.

KJV ¹⁷ I sat not in the assembly of the mockers, nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of thy hand: for thou hast filled me with indignation.

DRB ¹⁸ Pourquoi ma douleur est-elle continuelle, et ma plaie, incurable ? Elle refuse d'être guérie. Me serais-tu bien comme une source qui trompe, comme des eaux qui ne sont pas constantes ?

KJV ¹⁸ Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, which refuseth to be healed? wilt thou be altogether unto me as a liar, and as waters that fail?

DRB ¹⁹ C'est pourquoi, ainsi dit l'Éternel : Si tu te retournes, je te ramènerai, tu te tiendras devant moi ; et si tu sépares ce qui est précieux de ce qui est vil, tu seras comme ma bouche. Qu'ils reviennent vers toi, mais toi ne retourne pas vers eux.

KJV ¹⁹ Therefore thus saith the LORD, If thou return, then will I bring thee again, and thou shalt stand before me: and if thou take forth the precious from the vile, thou shalt be as my mouth: let them return unto thee; but return not thou unto them.

DRB ²⁰ Et je te ferai être à l'égard de ce peuple une muraille d'airain bien forte ; ils combattront contre toi, mais ils ne prévaudront pas sur toi ; car je suis avec toi pour te sauver et pour te délivrer, dit l'Éternel ;

KJV ²⁰ And I will make thee unto this people a fenced brasen wall: and they shall fight against thee, but they shall not prevail against thee: for I am with thee to save thee and to deliver thee, saith the LORD.

DRB ²¹ et je te délivrerai de la main des iniques et te rachèterai de la main des violents.

KJV ²¹ And I will deliver thee out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem thee out of the hand of the terrible.

WLC ²¹ וְהִצַּלְתִּ֖יךָ מִיַּ֣ד רָעִ֑ים וּפְדִתִ֖יךָ מִכַּ֥ף עָרִצִֽים׃

DRB ¹ Et la parole de l'Éternel vint à moi, disant :

DRB ² Tu ne te prendras point de femme et tu n'auras point de fils ni de filles en ce lieu-ci.

KJV ² Thou shalt not take thee a wife, neither shalt thou have sons or daughters in this place.

WLC ² לֹֽא־ תִקַּ֥ח לְךָ֖ אִשָּׁ֑ה וְלֹֽא־ יִהְי֤וּ לְךָ֙ בָּנִ֣ים וּבָנ֔וֹת בַּמָּק֖וֹם הַזֶּֽה׃

DRB ³ Car ainsi dit l'Éternel touchant les fils et les filles qui naissent en ce lieu, et touchant leurs mères qui les enfantent, et touchant les pères qui les engendrent dans ce pays :

KJV ³ For thus saith the LORD concerning the sons and concerning the daughters that are born in this place, and concerning their mothers that bare them, and concerning their fathers that begat them in this land;

WLC ³ כִּי־ כֹ֣ה ׀ אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֗ה עַל־ הַבָּנִים֙ וְעַל־ הַבָּנ֔וֹת הַיִּלּוֹדִ֖ים בַּמָּק֣וֹם הַזֶּ֑ה וְעַֽל־ אִמֹּתָ֞ם הַיֹּלְד֣וֹת אוֹתָ֗ם וְעַל־ אֲבוֹתָ֛ם הַמּוֹלִדִ֥ים אוֹתָ֖ם בָּאָ֥רֶץ הַזֹּֽאת׃

DRB ⁴ Ils mourront de morts misérables* ; ils ne seront pas pleurés, et ne seront pas enterrés ; ils seront du fumier sur la face du sol, et ils seront consumés par l'épée et par la famine, et leurs cadavres seront en pâture aux oiseaux des cieux et aux bêtes de la terre.

KJV ⁴ They shall die of grievous deaths; they shall not be lamented; neither shall they be buried; but they shall be as dung upon the face of the earth: and they shall be consumed by the sword, and by famine; and their carcases shall be meat for the fowls of heaven, and for the beasts of the earth.

WLC ⁴ מְמוֹתֵ֨י תַחֲלֻאִ֜ים יָמֻ֗תוּ לֹ֤א יִסָּֽפְדוּ֙ וְלֹ֣א יִקָּבֵ֔רוּ לְדֹ֛מֶן עַל־ פְּנֵ֥י הָאֲדָמָ֖ה יִֽהְי֑וּ וּבַחֶ֤רֶב וּבָֽרָעָב֙ יִכְל֔וּ וְהָיְתָ֤ה נִבְלָתָם֙ לְמַאֲכָ֔ל לְע֥וֹף הַשָּׁמַ֖יִם וּלְבֶהֱמַ֥ת הָאָֽרֶץ׃

DRB ⁵ Car ainsi dit l'Éternel : N'entre pas dans la maison de lamentation, et ne va pas pour pleurer, et ne mène pas deuil sur eux ; car j'ai ôté à ce peuple, dit l'Éternel, ma paix, - la bonté, et les compassions.

KJV ⁵ For thus saith the LORD, Enter not into the house of mourning, neither go to lament nor bemoan them: for I have taken away my peace from this people, saith the LORD, even lovingkindness and mercies.

WLC ⁵ כִּֽי־ כֹ֣ה ׀ אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֗ה אַל־ תָּבוֹא֙ בֵּ֣ית מַרְזֵ֔חַ וְאַל־ תֵּלֵ֣ךְ לִסְפּ֔וֹד וְאַל־ תָּנֹ֖ד לָהֶ֑ם כִּֽי־ אָסַ֨פְתִּי אֶת־ שְׁלוֹמִ֜י מֵאֵ֨ת הָעָ֤ם־ הַזֶּה֙ נְאֻם־ יְהוָ֔ה אֶת־ הַחֶ֖סֶד וְאֶת־ הָֽרַחֲמִֽים׃

DRB ⁶ Et grands et petits mourront dans ce pays ; ils ne seront pas enterrés, et on ne les pleurera point, et on ne se fera pas d'incision, ni ne se rendra chauve à cause d'eux.

KJV ⁶ Both the great and the small shall die in this land: they shall not be buried, neither shall men lament for them, nor cut themselves, nor make themselves bald for them:

WLC ⁶ וּמֵ֨תוּ גְדֹלִ֧ים וּקְטַנִּ֛ים בָּאָ֥רֶץ הַזֹּ֖את לֹ֣א יִקָּבֵ֑רוּ וְלֹֽא־ יִסְפְּד֣וּ לָהֶ֔ם וְלֹ֣א יִתְגֹּדַ֔ד וְלֹ֥א יִקָּרֵ֖חַ לָהֶֽם׃

DRB ⁷ Et on ne rompra pas pour eux le pain dans le deuil, en consolation au sujet d'un mort, et on ne leur donnera pas à boire la coupe des consolations pour leur père ou pour leur mère.

KJV ⁷ Neither shall men tear themselves for them in mourning, to comfort them for the dead; neither shall men give them the cup of consolation to drink for their father or for their mother.

WLC ⁷ וְלֹֽא־ יִפְרְס֥וּ לָהֶ֛ם עַל־ אֵ֖בֶל לְנַחֲמ֣וֹ עַל־ מֵ֑ת וְלֹֽא־ יַשְׁק֤וּ אוֹתָם֙ כּ֣וֹס תַּנְחוּמִ֔ים עַל־ אָבִ֖יו וְעַל־ אִמּֽוֹ׃

DRB ⁸ Et tu n'entreras pas dans une maison de festin afin de t'asseoir avec eux pour manger et pour boire.

KJV ⁸ Thou shalt not also go into the house of feasting, to sit with them to eat and to drink.

WLC ⁸ וּבֵית־ מִשְׁתֶּ֥ה לֹא־ תָב֖וֹא לָשֶׁ֣בֶת אוֹתָ֑ם לֶאֱכֹ֖ל וְלִשְׁתּֽוֹת׃

DRB ⁹ Car ainsi dit l'Éternel des armées, le Dieu d'Israël : Voici, je vais faire cesser dans ce lieu-ci, devant vos yeux et en vos jours, la voix de l'allégresse et la voix de la joie, la voix de l'époux et la voix de l'épouse.

KJV ⁹ For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will cause to cease out of this place in your eyes, and in your days, the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride.

WLC ⁹ כִּי֩ כֹ֨ה אָמַ֜ר יְהוָ֤ה צְבָאוֹת֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל הִנְנִ֨י מַשְׁבִּ֜ית מִן־ הַמָּק֥וֹם הַזֶּ֛ה לְעֵינֵיכֶ֖ם וּבִֽימֵיכֶ֑ם ק֤וֹל שָׂשׂוֹן֙ וְק֣וֹל שִׂמְחָ֔ה ק֥וֹל חָתָ֖ן וְק֥וֹל כַּלָּֽה׃

DRB ¹⁰ Et il arrivera que, quand tu annonceras à ce peuple toutes ces paroles, et qu'ils te diront : Pourquoi l'Éternel dit-il contre nous tout ce grand mal, et quelle est notre iniquité, et quel est notre péché que nous avons commis contre l'Éternel, notre Dieu ?

KJV ¹⁰ And it shall come to pass, when thou shalt shew this people all these words, and they shall say unto thee, Wherefore hath the LORD pronounced all this great evil against us? or what is our iniquity? or what is our sin that we have committed against the LORD our God?

WLC ¹⁰ וְהָיָ֗ה כִּ֤י תַגִּיד֙ לָעָ֣ם הַזֶּ֔ה אֵ֥ת כָּל־ הַדְּבָרִ֖ים הָאֵ֑לֶּה וְאָמְר֣וּ אֵלֶ֗יךָ עַל־ מֶה֩ דִבֶּ֨ר יְהוָ֤ה עָלֵ֙ינוּ֙ אֵ֣ת כָּל־ הָרָעָ֤ה הַגְּדוֹלָה֙ הַזֹּ֔את וּמֶ֤ה עֲוֺנֵ֙נוּ֙ וּמֶ֣ה חַטָּאתֵ֔נוּ אֲשֶׁ֥ר חָטָ֖אנוּ לַֽיהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃

DRB ¹¹ alors tu leur diras : C'est parce que vos pères m'ont abandonné, dit l'Éternel, et sont allés après d'autres dieux, et les ont servis, et se sont prosternés devant eux, et m'ont abandonné, et n'ont point gardé ma loi ;

KJV ¹¹ Then shalt thou say unto them, Because your fathers have forsaken me, saith the LORD, and have walked after other gods, and have served them, and have worshipped them, and have forsaken me, and have not kept my law;

WLC ¹¹ וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֲלֵיהֶ֗ם עַל֩ אֲשֶׁר־ עָזְב֨וּ אֲבוֹתֵיכֶ֤ם אוֹתִי֙ נְאֻם־ יְהוָ֔ה וַיֵּלְכ֗וּ אַֽחֲרֵי֙ אֱלֹהִ֣ים אֲחֵרִ֔ים וַיַּעַבְד֖וּם וַיִּשְׁתַּחֲו֣וּ לָהֶ֑ם וְאֹתִ֣י עָזָ֔בוּ וְאֶת־ תּוֹרָתִ֖י לֹ֥א שָׁמָֽרוּ׃

DRB ¹² et vous, vous avez fait pis encore que vos pères, et vous voilà marchant chacun suivant le penchant obstiné de son mauvais cœur, pour ne pas m'écouter ;

KJV ¹² And ye have done worse than your fathers; for, behold, ye walk every one after the imagination of his evil heart, that they may not hearken unto me:

WLC ¹² וְאַתֶּ֛ם הֲרֵעֹתֶ֥ם לַעֲשׂ֖וֹת מֵאֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶ֑ם וְהִנְּכֶ֣ם הֹלְכִ֗ים אִ֚ישׁ אַֽחֲרֵי֙ שְׁרִר֣וּת לִבּֽוֹ־ הָרָ֔ע לְבִלְתִּ֖י שְׁמֹ֥עַ אֵלָֽי׃

DRB ¹³ et je vous jetterai de ce pays dans un pays que vous n'avez pas connu, ni vous, ni vos pères ; et vous servirez là d'autres dieux, jour et nuit, parce que je ne vous témoignerai aucune faveur.

KJV ¹³ Therefore will I cast you out of this land into a land that ye know not, neither ye nor your fathers; and there shall ye serve other gods day and night; where I will not shew you favour.

WLC ¹³ וְהֵטַלְתִּ֣י אֶתְכֶ֗ם מֵעַל֙ הָאָ֣רֶץ הַזֹּ֔את עַל־ הָאָ֕רֶץ אֲשֶׁר֙ לֹ֣א יְדַעְתֶּ֔ם אַתֶּ֖ם וַאֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶ֑ם וַעֲבַדְתֶּם־ שָׁ֞ם אֶת־ אֱלֹהִ֤ים אֲחֵרִים֙ יוֹמָ֣ם וָלַ֔יְלָה אֲשֶׁ֛ר לֹֽא־ אֶתֵּ֥ן לָכֶ֖ם חֲנִינָֽה׃

DRB ¹⁴ C'est pourquoi, voici, des jours viennent, dit l'Éternel, où on ne dira plus : L'Éternel est vivant, qui a fait monter les fils d'Israël du pays d'Égypte ;

KJV ¹⁴ Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that it shall no more be said, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;

WLC ¹⁴ לָכֵ֛ן הִנֵּֽה־ יָמִ֥ים בָּאִ֖ים נְאֻם־ יְהוָ֑ה וְלֹֽא־ יֵאָמֵ֥ר עוֹד֙ חַי־ יְהוָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֧ר הֶעֱלָ֛ה אֶת־ בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל מֵאֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃

DRB ¹⁵ mais : L'Éternel est vivant, qui a fait monter les fils d'Israël du pays du nord, et de tous les pays où il les avait chassés. Et je les ramènerai dans leur terre, que j'ai donnée à leurs pères.

KJV ¹⁵ But, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the lands whither he had driven them: and I will bring them again into their land that I gave unto their fathers.

WLC ¹⁵ כִּ֣י אִם־ חַי־ יְהוָ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר הֶעֱלָ֜ה אֶת־ בְּנֵ֤י יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ מֵאֶ֣רֶץ צָפ֔וֹן וּמִכֹּל֙ הָֽאֲרָצ֔וֹת אֲשֶׁ֥ר הִדִּיחָ֖ם שָׁ֑מָּה וַהֲשִֽׁבֹתִים֙ עַל־ אַדְמָתָ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֥ר נָתַ֖תִּי לַאֲבוֹתָֽם׃

DRB ¹⁶ Voici, je mande beaucoup de pêcheurs, dit l'Éternel, et ils les pêcheront ; et après cela je manderai beaucoup de chasseurs, qui les prendront comme du gibier de dessus toutes les montagnes, et de dessus toutes les collines, et des trous des rochers.

KJV ¹⁶ Behold, I will send for many fishers, saith the LORD, and they shall fish them; and after will I send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain, and from every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks.

DRB ¹⁷ Car mes yeux sont sur toutes leurs voies ; elles ne sont pas cachées de devant ma face, ni leur iniquité mise à couvert de devant mes yeux.

KJV ¹⁷ For mine eyes are upon all their ways: they are not hid from my face, neither is their iniquity hid from mine eyes.

WLC ¹⁷ כִּ֤י עֵינַי֙ עַל־ כָּל־ דַּרְכֵיהֶ֔ם לֹ֥א נִסְתְּר֖וּ מִלְּפָנָ֑י וְלֹֽא־ נִצְפַּ֥ן עֲוֺנָ֖ם מִנֶּ֥גֶד עֵינָֽי׃

DRB ¹⁸ Et je rendrai premièrement le double de leur iniquité et de leur péché, parce qu'ils ont souillé mon pays par les cadavres de leurs choses exécrables ; et ils ont rempli mon héritage de leurs abominations.

KJV ¹⁸ And first I will recompense their iniquity and their sin double; because they have defiled my land, they have filled mine inheritance with the carcases of their detestable and abominable things.

WLC ¹⁸ וְשִׁלַּמְתִּ֣י רִֽאשׁוֹנָ֗ה מִשְׁנֵ֤ה עֲוֺנָם֙ וְחַטָּאתָ֔ם עַ֖ל חַלְּלָ֣ם אֶת־ אַרְצִ֑י בְּנִבְלַ֤ת שִׁקּֽוּצֵיהֶם֙ וְתוֹעֲב֣וֹתֵיהֶ֔ם מָלְא֖וּ אֶת־ נַחֲלָתִֽי׃

DRB ¹⁹ Éternel, ma force, et ma forteresse, et mon refuge au jour de la détresse ! à toi les nations viendront des bouts de la terre, et elles diront : Certainement nos pères ont hérité le mensonge, la vanité ; et dans ces choses il n'y a point de profit.

KJV ¹⁹ O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.

DRB ²⁰ L'homme se fera-t-il bien des dieux, qui ne sont pas des dieux ?

KJV ²⁰ Shall a man make gods unto himself, and they are no gods?

WLC ²⁰ הֲיַעֲשֶׂה־ לּ֥וֹ אָדָ֖ם אֱלֹהִ֑ים וְהֵ֖מָּה לֹ֥א אֱלֹהִֽים׃

DRB ²¹ C'est pourquoi, voici, à cette fois je leur fais connaître, je leur ferai connaître ma main et ma puissance, et ils sauront que mon nom est l'Éternel.

KJV ²¹ Therefore, behold, I will this once cause them to know, I will cause them to know mine hand and my might; and they shall know that my name is The LORD.

DRB ¹ Le péché de Juda est écrit avec un style de fer, avec une pointe de diamant ; il est gravé sur la table de leur cœur, et sur les cornes de leurs autels,

KJV ¹ The sin of Judah is written with a pen of iron, and with the point of a diamond: it is graven upon the table of their heart, and upon the horns of your altars;

WLC ¹ חַטַּ֣את יְהוּדָ֗ה כְּתוּבָ֛ה בְּעֵ֥ט בַּרְזֶ֖ל בְּצִפֹּ֣רֶן שָׁמִ֑יר חֲרוּשָׁה֙ עַל־ ל֣וּחַ לִבָּ֔ם וּלְקַרְנ֖וֹת מִזְבְּחוֹתֵיכֶֽם׃

DRB ² comme leurs fils se souviennent de leurs autels et de leurs ashères auprès des arbres verts, sur les hautes collines.

KJV ² Whilst their children remember their altars and their groves by the green trees upon the high hills.

WLC ² כִּזְכֹּ֤ר בְּנֵיהֶם֙ מִזְבְּחוֹתָ֔ם וַאֲשֵׁרֵיהֶ֖ם עַל־ עֵ֣ץ רַֽעֲנָ֑ן עַ֖ל גְּבָע֥וֹת הַגְּבֹהֽוֹת׃

DRB ³ Ma montagne dans les champs, ton bien, tous tes trésors, je les livrerai au pillage, - tes hauts lieux, à cause de [ton] péché dans tous tes confins.

KJV ³ O my mountain in the field, I will give thy substance and all thy treasures to the spoil, and thy high places for sin, throughout all thy borders.

WLC ³ הֲרָרִי֙ בַּשָּׂדֶ֔ה חֵילְךָ֥ כָל־ אוֹצְרוֹתֶ֖יךָ לָבַ֣ז אֶתֵּ֑ן בָּמֹתֶ֕יךָ בְּחַטָּ֖את בְּכָל־ גְּבוּלֶֽיךָ׃

DRB ⁴ Et, à cause de toi-même, tu délaisseras ton héritage que je t'avais donné, et je t'asservirai à tes ennemis dans un pays que tu ne connais pas ; car vous avez allumé un feu dans ma colère ; il brûlera à toujours.

KJV ⁴ And thou, even thyself, shalt discontinue from thine heritage that I gave thee; and I will cause thee to serve thine enemies in the land which thou knowest not: for ye have kindled a fire in mine anger, which shall burn for ever.

WLC ⁴ וְשָׁמַטְתָּ֗ה וּבְךָ֙ מִנַּחֲלָֽתְךָ֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר נָתַ֣תִּי לָ֔ךְ וְהַעֲבַדְתִּ֙יךָ֙ אֶת־ אֹ֣יְבֶ֔יךָ בָּאָ֖רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹֽא־ יָדָ֑עְתָּ כִּֽי־ אֵ֛שׁ קְדַחְתֶּ֥ם בְּאַפִּ֖י עַד־ עוֹלָ֥ם תּוּקָֽד׃
