DRB ¹ La parole qui vint à Jérémie touchant tout le peuple de Juda, la quatrième année de Jehoïakim, fils de Josias, roi de Juda, (qui est la première année* de Nebucadretsar, roi de Babylone,)

KJV ¹ The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, that was the first year of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon;

WLC ¹ הַדָּבָ֞ר אֲשֶׁר־ הָיָ֤ה עַֽל־ יִרְמְיָ֙הוּ֙ עַל־ כָּל־ עַ֣ם יְהוּדָ֔ה בַּשָּׁנָה֙ הָֽרְבִעִ֔ית לִיהוֹיָקִ֥ים בֶּן־ יֹאשִׁיָּ֖הוּ מֶ֣לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֑ה הִ֗יא הַשָּׁנָה֙ הָרִ֣אשֹׁנִ֔ית לִנְבֽוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֖ר מֶ֥לֶךְ בָּבֶֽל׃

DRB ² [et] que Jérémie le prophète dit à tout le peuple de Juda, et à tous les habitants de Jérusalem, disant :

KJV ² The which Jeremiah the prophet spake unto all the people of Judah, and to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying,

WLC ² אֲשֶׁ֨ר דִּבֶּ֜ר יִרְמְיָ֤הוּ הַנָּבִיא֙ עַל־ כָּל־ עַ֣ם יְהוּדָ֔ה וְאֶ֛ל כָּל־ יֹשְׁבֵ֥י יְרוּשָׁלִַ֖ם לֵאמֹֽר׃

DRB ³ Depuis la treizième année de Josias, fils d'Amon, roi de Juda, jusqu'à ce jour, ces vingt-trois ans, la parole de l'Éternel m'est venue, et je vous ai parlé, me levant de bonne heure et parlant ; et vous n'avez pas écouté.

KJV ³ From the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon king of Judah, even unto this day, that is the three and twentieth year, the word of the LORD hath come unto me, and I have spoken unto you, rising early and speaking; but ye have not hearkened.

WLC ³ מִן־ שְׁלֹ֣שׁ עֶשְׂרֵ֣ה שָׁנָ֡ה לְיֹאשִׁיָּ֣הוּ בֶן־ אָמוֹן֩ מֶ֨לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֜ה וְעַ֣ד ׀ הַיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֗ה זֶ֚ה שָׁלֹ֤שׁ וְעֶשְׂרִים֙ שָׁנָ֔ה הָיָ֥ה דְבַר־ יְהוָ֖ה אֵלָ֑י וָאֲדַבֵּ֧ר אֲלֵיכֶ֛ם אַשְׁכֵּ֥ים וְדַבֵּ֖ר וְלֹ֥א שְׁמַעְתֶּֽם׃

DRB ⁴ Et l'Éternel vous a envoyé tous ses serviteurs les prophètes, se levant de bonne heure et [les] envoyant ; et vous n'avez pas écouté, et vous n'avez point incliné vos oreilles pour écouter,

KJV ⁴ And the LORD hath sent unto you all his servants the prophets, rising early and sending them; but ye have not hearkened, nor inclined your ear to hear.

WLC ⁴ וְשָׁלַח֩ יְהוָ֨ה אֲלֵיכֶ֜ם אֶֽת־ כָּל־ עֲבָדָ֧יו הַנְּבִאִ֛ים הַשְׁכֵּ֥ם וְשָׁלֹ֖חַ וְלֹ֣א שְׁמַעְתֶּ֑ם וְלֹֽא־ הִטִּיתֶ֥ם אֶֽת־ אָזְנְכֶ֖ם לִשְׁמֹֽעַ׃

DRB ⁵ lorsqu'ils disaient : Revenez donc chacun de sa mauvaise voie, et de l'iniquité de vos actions, et vous habiterez sur la terre que l'Éternel vous a donnée, à vous et à vos pères, de siècle en siècle ;

KJV ⁵ They said, Turn ye again now every one from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell in the land that the LORD hath given unto you and to your fathers for ever and ever:

WLC ⁵ לֵאמֹ֗ר שֽׁוּבוּ־ נָ֞א אִ֣ישׁ מִדַּרְכּ֤וֹ הָֽרָעָה֙ וּמֵרֹ֣עַ מַעַלְלֵיכֶ֔ם וּשְׁבוּ֙ עַל־ הָ֣אֲדָמָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר נָתַ֧ן יְהוָ֛ה לָכֶ֖ם וְלַאֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶ֑ם לְמִן־ עוֹלָ֖ם וְעַד־ עוֹלָֽם׃

DRB ⁶ et n'allez point après d'autres dieux pour les servir, et pour vous prosterner devant eux, et ne me provoquez pas par l'œuvre de vos mains ; et je ne vous ferai pas de mal.

KJV ⁶ And go not after other gods to serve them, and to worship them, and provoke me not to anger with the works of your hands; and I will do you no hurt.

WLC ⁶ וְאַל־ תֵּלְכ֗וּ אַֽחֲרֵי֙ אֱלֹהִ֣ים אֲחֵרִ֔ים לְעָבְדָ֖ם וּלְהִשְׁתַּחֲוֺ֣ת לָהֶ֑ם וְלֹֽא־ תַכְעִ֤יסוּ אוֹתִי֙ בְּמַעֲשֵׂ֣ה יְדֵיכֶ֔ם וְלֹ֥א אָרַ֖ע לָכֶֽם׃

DRB ⁷ Mais vous ne m'avez pas écouté, dit l'Éternel, pour me provoquer par l'œuvre de vos mains, pour votre propre malheur.

KJV ⁷ Yet ye have not hearkened unto me, saith the LORD; that ye might provoke me to anger with the works of your hands to your own hurt.

WLC ⁷ וְלֹֽא־ שְׁמַעְתֶּ֥ם אֵלַ֖י נְאֻם־ יְהוָ֑ה לְמַ֧עַן בְּמַעֲשֵׂ֥ה יְדֵיכֶ֖ם לְרַ֥ע לָכֶֽם׃

DRB ⁸ C'est pourquoi, ainsi dit l'Éternel des armées : Parce que vous n'avez pas écouté mes paroles,

KJV ⁸ Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Because ye have not heard my words,

WLC ⁸ לָכֵ֕ן כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֖ר יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֑וֹת יַ֕עַן אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹֽא־ שְׁמַעְתֶּ֖ם אֶת־ דְּבָרָֽי׃

DRB ⁹ voici, j'envoie, et je prends toutes les familles du nord, dit l'Éternel, et* Nebucadretsar, roi de Babylone, mon serviteur, et je les ferai venir contre ce pays, et contre ses habitants, et contre toutes ces nations à l'entour : et je les vouerai à la destruction, j'en ferai une désolation, et un objet de sifflement, et des déserts perpétuels ;

KJV ⁹ Behold, I will send and take all the families of the north, saith the LORD, and Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against the inhabitants thereof, and against all these nations round about, and will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and an hissing, and perpetual desolations.

WLC ⁹ הִנְנִ֣י שֹׁלֵ֡חַ וְלָקַחְתִּי֩ אֶת־ כָּל־ מִשְׁפְּח֨וֹת צָפ֜וֹן נְאֻם־ יְהוָ֗ה וְאֶל־ נְבֽוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֣ר מֶֽלֶךְ־ בָּבֶל֮ עַבְדִּי֒ וַהֲבִ֨אֹתִ֜ים עַל־ הָאָ֤רֶץ הַזֹּאת֙ וְעַל־ יֹ֣שְׁבֶ֔יהָ וְעַ֛ל כָּל־ הַגּוֹיִ֥ם הָאֵ֖לֶּה סָבִ֑יב וְהַ֣חֲרַמְתִּ֔ים וְשַׂמְתִּים֙ לְשַׁמָּ֣ה וְלִשְׁרֵקָ֔ה וּלְחָרְב֖וֹת עוֹלָֽם׃

DRB ¹⁰ et je ferai périr du milieu d'eux la voix de l'allégresse et la voix de la joie, la voix de l'époux et la voix de l'épouse, le bruit des meules et la lumière de la lampe.

KJV ¹⁰ Moreover I will take from them the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones, and the light of the candle.

WLC ¹⁰ וְהַאֲבַדְתִּ֣י מֵהֶ֗ם ק֤וֹל שָׂשׂוֹן֙ וְק֣וֹל שִׂמְחָ֔ה ק֥וֹל חָתָ֖ן וְק֣וֹל כַּלָּ֑ה ק֥וֹל רֵחַ֖יִם וְא֥וֹר נֵֽר׃

DRB ¹¹ Et tout ce pays sera un désert, une désolation ; et ces nations serviront le roi de Babylone soixante-dix ans.

KJV ¹¹ And this whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.

WLC ¹¹ וְהָֽיְתָה֙ כָּל־ הָאָ֣רֶץ הַזֹּ֔את לְחָרְבָּ֖ה לְשַׁמָּ֑ה וְעָ֨בְד֜וּ הַגּוֹיִ֥ם הָאֵ֛לֶּה אֶת־ מֶ֥לֶךְ בָּבֶ֖ל שִׁבְעִ֥ים שָׁנָֽה׃

DRB ¹² Et il arrivera, quand [les] soixante-dix ans seront accomplis, que je visiterai sur le roi de Babylone et sur cette nation-là leur iniquité, dit l'Éternel, et sur le pays des Chaldéens, et je le réduirai en désolations perpétuelles.

KJV ¹² And it shall come to pass, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation, saith the LORD, for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans, and will make it perpetual desolations.

WLC ¹² וְהָיָ֣ה כִמְלֹ֣אות שִׁבְעִ֣ים שָׁנָ֡ה אֶפְקֹ֣ד עַל־ מֶֽלֶךְ־ בָּבֶל֩ וְעַל־ הַגּ֨וֹי הַה֧וּא נְאֻם־ יְהוָ֛ה אֶת־ עֲוֺנָ֖ם וְעַל־ אֶ֣רֶץ כַּשְׂדִּ֑ים וְשַׂמְתִּ֥י אֹת֖וֹ לְשִֽׁמְמ֥וֹת עוֹלָֽם׃

DRB ¹³ Et je ferai venir sur ce pays toutes mes paroles que j'ai dites contre lui, tout ce qui est écrit dans ce livre, ce que Jérémie a prophétisé contre toutes les nations.

KJV ¹³ And I will bring upon that land all my words which I have pronounced against it, even all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah hath prophesied against all the nations.

WLC ¹³ עַל־ הָאָ֣רֶץ הַהִ֔יא אֶת־ כָּל־ דְּבָרַ֖י אֲשֶׁר־ דִּבַּ֣רְתִּי עָלֶ֑יהָ אֵ֤ת כָּל־ הַכָּתוּב֙ בַּסֵּ֣פֶר הַזֶּ֔ה אֲשֶׁר־ נִבָּ֥א יִרְמְיָ֖הוּ עַל־ כָּל־ הַגּוֹיִֽם׃

DRB ¹⁴ Car plusieurs nations et de grands rois se serviront d'eux aussi* ; et je leur rendrai selon leurs actions, et selon l'œuvre de leurs mains.

KJV ¹⁴ For many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of them also: and I will recompense them according to their deeds, and according to the works of their own hands.

WLC ¹⁴ כִּ֣י עָֽבְדוּ־ בָ֤ם גַּם־ הֵ֙מָּה֙ גּוֹיִ֣ם רַבִּ֔ים וּמְלָכִ֖ים גְּדוֹלִ֑ים וְשִׁלַּמְתִּ֥י לָהֶ֛ם כְּפָעֳלָ֖ם וּכְמַעֲשֵׂ֥ה יְדֵיהֶֽם׃
