WLC ¹ וַֽיִּגְּשׁוּ֙ כָּל־ שָׂרֵ֣י הַחֲיָלִ֔ים וְיֽוֹחָנָן֙ בֶּן־ קָרֵ֔חַ וִֽיזַנְיָ֖ה בֶּן־ הוֹשַֽׁעְיָ֑ה וְכָל־ הָעָ֖ם מִקָּטֹ֥ן וְעַד־ גָּדֽוֹל׃

BAN ² et dirent à Jérémie le prophète : Agrée notre requête et intercède en notre faveur auprès de l'Eternel ton Dieu pour tout ce reste ; car de beaucoup nous sommes réduits à peu, comme tes yeux nous voient ;

KJV ² And said unto Jeremiah the prophet, Let, we beseech thee, our supplication be accepted before thee, and pray for us unto the LORD thy God, even for all this remnant; (for we are left but a few of many, as thine eyes do behold us:)

LSG ² et dirent à Jérémie, le prophète: Que nos supplications soient favorablement reçues devant toi ! Intercède en notre faveur auprès de l'Éternel, ton Dieu, en faveur de tous ceux qui restent, car nous étions beaucoup, et nous restons en petit nombre, comme tes yeux le voient ;

WLC ² וַיֹּאמְר֞וּ אֶֽל־ יִרְמְיָ֣הוּ הַנָּבִ֗יא תִּפָּל־ נָ֤א תְחִנָּתֵ֙נוּ֙ לְפָנֶ֔יךָ וְהִתְפַּלֵּ֤ל בַּעֲדֵ֙נוּ֙ אֶל־ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ בְּעַ֖ד כָּל־ הַשְּׁאֵרִ֣ית הַזֹּ֑את כִּֽי־ נִשְׁאַ֤רְנוּ מְעַט֙ מֵֽהַרְבֵּ֔ה כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר עֵינֶ֖יךָ רֹא֥וֹת אֹתָֽנוּ׃

BAN ³ et que l'Eternel ton Dieu nous indique le chemin que nous devons suivre et ce que nous avons à faire.

KJV ³ That the LORD thy God may shew us the way wherein we may walk, and the thing that we may do.

LSG ³ et que l'Éternel, ton Dieu, nous montre le chemin que nous devons suivre, et ce que nous avons à faire !

WLC ³ וְיַגֶּד־ לָ֙נוּ֙ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ אֶת־ הַדֶּ֖רֶךְ אֲשֶׁ֣ר נֵֽלֶךְ־ בָּ֑הּ וְאֶת־ הַדָּבָ֖ר אֲשֶׁ֥ר נַעֲשֶֽׂה׃

BAN ⁴ Jérémie le prophète leur répondit : J'ai entendu ; je vais intercéder auprès de l'Eternel votre Dieu, comme vous l'avez dit, et tout ce que l'Eternel vous répondra, je vous le déclarerai sans vous en rien cacher.

KJV ⁴ Then Jeremiah the prophet said unto them, I have heard you; behold, I will pray unto the LORD your God according to your words; and it shall come to pass, that whatsoever thing the LORD shall answer you, I will declare it unto you; I will keep nothing back from you.

LSG ⁴ Jérémie, le prophète, leur dit: J'entends ; voici je vais prier l'Éternel, votre Dieu, selon votre demande ; et je vous ferai connaître, sans rien vous cacher, tout ce que l'Éternel vous répondra.

WLC ⁴ וַיֹּ֨אמֶר אֲלֵיהֶ֜ם יִרְמְיָ֤הוּ הַנָּבִיא֙ שָׁמַ֔עְתִּי הִנְנִ֧י מִתְפַּלֵּ֛ל אֶל־ יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֖ם כְּדִבְרֵיכֶ֑ם וְֽהָיָ֡ה כָּֽל־ הַדָּבָר֩ אֲשֶׁר־ יַעֲנֶ֨ה יְהוָ֤ה אֶתְכֶם֙ אַגִּ֣יד לָכֶ֔ם לֹֽא־ אֶמְנַ֥ע מִכֶּ֖ם דָּבָֽר׃

BAN ⁵ Et ils dirent à Jérémie : L'Eternel soit témoin véridique et fidèle contre nous, si nous ne faisons tout ce que l'Eternel ton Dieu nous aura mandé par toi ;

KJV ⁵ Then they said to Jeremiah, The LORD be a true and faithful witness between us, if we do not even according to all things for the which the LORD thy God shall send thee to us.

LSG ⁵ Et ils dirent à Jérémie: Que l'Éternel soit contre nous un témoin véritable et fidèle, si nous ne faisons pas tout ce que l'Éternel, ton Dieu, te chargera de nous dire !

WLC ⁵ וְהֵ֙מָּה֙ אָמְר֣וּ אֶֽל־ יִרְמְיָ֔הוּ יְהִ֤י יְהוָה֙ בָּ֔נוּ לְעֵ֖ד אֱמֶ֣ת וְנֶאֱמָ֑ן אִם־ לֹ֡א כְּֽכָל־ הַ֠דָּבָר אֲשֶׁ֨ר יִֽשְׁלָחֲךָ֜ יְהוָ֧ה אֱלֹהֶ֛יךָ אֵלֵ֖ינוּ כֵּ֥ן נַעֲשֶֽׂה׃

BAN ⁶ bien ou mal, quoi que l'Eternel nous mande par toi, nous y obéirons, afin qu'il nous arrive du bien, parce que nous aurons obéi à la voix de l'Eternel notre Dieu.

KJV ⁶ Whether it be good, or whether it be evil, we will obey the voice of the LORD our God, to whom we send thee; that it may be well with us, when we obey the voice of the LORD our God.

LSG ⁶ Que ce soit du bien ou du mal, nous obéirons à la voix de l'Éternel, notre Dieu, vers qui nous t'envoyons, afin que nous soyons heureux, si nous obéissons à la voix de l'Éternel, notre Dieu.
