WLC ¹ וַ֭יַּעַן אֱלִיפַ֥ז הַֽתֵּימָנִ֗י וַיֹּאמַֽר׃

DRB ² Si nous essayons de t'adresser une parole, en seras-tu irrité ? Mais qui pourrait se retenir de parler ?

KJV ² If we assay to commune with thee, wilt thou be grieved? but who can withhold himself from speaking?

LSG ² Si nous osons ouvrir la bouche, en seras-tu peiné ? Mais qui pourrait garder le silence ?

WLC ² הֲנִסָּ֬ה דָבָ֣ר אֵלֶ֣יךָ תִּלְאֶ֑ה וַעְצֹ֥ר בְּ֝מִלִּ֗ין מִ֣י יוּכָֽל׃

DRB ³ Voici, tu en as enseigné beaucoup, et tu as fortifié les mains languissantes ;

KJV ³ Behold, thou hast instructed many, and thou hast strengthened the weak hands.

LSG ³ Voici, tu as souvent enseigné les autres, Tu as fortifié les mains languissantes,

WLC ³ הִ֭נֵּה יִסַּ֣רְתָּ רַבִּ֑ים וְיָדַ֖יִם רָפ֣וֹת תְּחַזֵּֽק׃

DRB ⁴ Tes paroles ont tenu droit celui qui chancelait, et tu as affermi les genoux qui ployaient ;

KJV ⁴ Thy words have upholden him that was falling, and thou hast strengthened the feeble knees.

LSG ⁴ Tes paroles ont relevé ceux qui chancelaient, Tu as affermi les genoux qui pliaient.

WLC ⁴ כּ֭וֹשֵׁל יְקִימ֣וּן מִלֶּ֑יךָ וּבִרְכַּ֖יִם כֹּרְע֣וֹת תְּאַמֵּֽץ׃

DRB ⁵ Mais maintenant [le malheur] est venu sur toi, et tu es irrité ; il t'atteint, et tu es troublé.

KJV ⁵ But now it is come upon thee, and thou faintest; it toucheth thee, and thou art troubled.

LSG ⁵ Et maintenant qu'il s'agit de toi, tu faiblis ! Maintenant que tu es atteint, tu te troubles !

WLC ⁵ כִּ֤י עַתָּ֨ה ׀ תָּב֣וֹא אֵלֶ֣יךָ וַתֵּ֑לֶא תִּגַּ֥ע עָ֝דֶ֗יךָ וַתִּבָּהֵֽל׃

DRB ⁶ Ta crainte [de Dieu] n'est-elle pas ta confiance, et l'intégrité* de tes voies, ton espérance ?

KJV ⁶ Is not this thy fear, thy confidence, thy hope, and the uprightness of thy ways?

LSG ⁶ Ta crainte de Dieu n'est-elle pas ton soutien ? Ton espérance, n'est-ce pas ton intégrité ?

WLC ⁶ הֲלֹ֣א יִ֭רְאָתְךָ כִּסְלָתֶ֑ךָ תִּ֝קְוָתְךָ֗ וְתֹ֣ם דְּרָכֶֽיךָ׃
