DRB ² Je sais que tu peux tout, et qu'aucun dessein n'est trop difficile pour toi.

KJV ² I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee.

S21 ² «Je reconnais que tout est possible pour toi
et que rien ne peut s'opposer à tes projets.

DRB ³ Qui est celui-ci qui, sans connaissance, voile le conseil ? J'ai donc parlé, et sans comprendre, de choses trop merveilleuses pour moi, que je ne connaissais pas.

KJV ³ Who is he that hideth counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not.

S21 ³ ‘Qui est celui qui dissimule mes plans par un manque de savoir?'
Oui, j'ai parlé, sans les comprendre,
de merveilles qui me dépassent et que je ne connais pas.

DRB ⁴ Écoute, je te prie, et je parlerai ; je t'interrogerai, et toi, instruis-moi.

KJV ⁴ Hear, I beseech thee, and I will speak: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.

S21 ⁴ ‘Ecoute-moi et je parlerai!
Je t'interrogerai et tu me renseigneras.'

DRB ⁵ Mon oreille avait entendu parler de toi, maintenant mon œil t'a vu :

KJV ⁵ I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.

S21 ⁵ Mon oreille avait entendu parler de toi,
mais maintenant mon œil t'a vu.

DRB ⁶ C'est pourquoi j'ai horreur de moi, et je me repens dans la poussière et dans la cendre.

KJV ⁶ Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.

S21 ⁶ C'est pourquoi je me condamne et je reconnais mes torts
sur la poussière et sur la cendre.»
