BCC ² Jour de ténèbres et d'obscurité, jour de nuages et de sombre nuée ! Comme l'aurore qui s'étend sur les montagnes, un peuple vient, nombreux et fort, tel qu'il n'y en a jamais en depuis l'origine, et qu'il n'y en aura pas après lui, jusqu'aux années des âges les plus lointains.

KJV ² A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.

KJV ⁵ Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array.

BCC ⁶ Devant lui les peuples tremblent d'effroi, tous les visages pâlissent.

KJV ⁶ Before their face the people shall be much pained: all faces shall gather blackness.

BCC ¹¹ Yahweh fait entendre sa voix à la tête de son année ; car immense est son camp, car puissant est l'exécuteur de sa parole. Car le jour de Yahweh est grand et très redoutable ; et qui pourrait le soutenir ?
