KJV ⁷ And he put forth a parable to those which were bidden, when he marked how they chose out the chief rooms; saying unto them.

TR1550 ⁷ ἕλεγεν δὲ πρὸς τοὺς κεκλημένους παραβολήν ἐπέχων πῶς τὰς πρωτοκλισίας ἐξελέγοντο λέγων πρὸς αὐτούς

KJV ⁸ When thou art bidden of any man to a wedding, sit not down in the highest room; lest a more honourable man than thou be bidden of him;

MAR ⁸ Quand tu seras convié par quelqu'un à des noces, ne te mets point à table à la première place, de peur qu'il n'arrive qu'un plus honorable que toi soit aussi convié ;

TR1550 ⁸ ὅταν κληθῇς ὑπό τινος εἰς γάμους μὴ κατακλιθῇς εἰς τὴν πρωτοκλισίαν μήποτε ἐντιμότερός σου ᾖ κεκλημένος ὑπ᾽ αὐτοῦ

KJV ⁹ And he that bade thee and him come and say to thee, Give this man place; and thou begin with shame to take the lowest room.

MAR ⁹ Et que celui qui vous aura convié, ne vienne, et ne te dise : donne ta place à celui-ci ; et qu'alors tu ne commences avec honte de te mettre à la dernière place.

TR1550 ⁹ καὶ ἐλθὼν ὁ σὲ καὶ αὐτὸν καλέσας ἐρεῖ σοι δὸς τούτῳ τόπον καὶ τότε ἄρξῃ μετ᾽ αἰσχύνης τὸν ἔσχατον τόπον κατέχειν

KJV ¹⁰ But when thou art bidden, go and sit down in the lowest room; that when he that bade thee cometh, he may say unto thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have worship in the presence of them that sit at meat with thee.

MAR ¹⁰ Mais quand tu seras convié, va, et te mets à la dernière place, afin que quand celui qui t'a convié viendra, il te dise : mon ami, monte plus haut ; et alors cela te tournera à honneur devant tous ceux qui seront à table avec toi.

TR1550 ¹⁰ ἀλλ᾽ ὅταν κληθῇς πορευθεὶς ἀνάπεσον εἰς τὸν ἔσχατον τόπον ἵνα ὅταν ἔλθῃ ὁ κεκληκώς σε εἴπῃ σοι φίλε προσανάβηθι ἀνώτερον τότε ἔσται σοι δόξα ἐνώπιον τῶν συνανακειμένων σοι

KJV ¹¹ For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

MAR ¹¹ Car quiconque s'élève, sera abaissé ; et quiconque s'abaisse, sera élevé.

TR1550 ¹¹ ὅτι πᾶς ὁ ὑψῶν ἑαυτὸν ταπεινωθήσεται καὶ ὁ ταπεινῶν ἑαυτὸν ὑψωθήσεται

KJV ¹² Then said he also to him that bade him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor thy rich neighbours; lest they also bid thee again, and a recompence be made thee.

MAR ¹² Il disait aussi à celui qui l'avait convié : quand tu fais un dîner ou un souper, n'invite point tes amis, ni tes frères, ni tes parents, ni tes riches voisins ; de peur qu'ils ne te convient à leur tour, et que la pareille ne te soit rendue.

TR1550 ¹² ἕλεγεν δὲ καὶ τῷ κεκληκότι αὐτόν ὅταν ποιῇς ἄριστον ἢ δεῖπνον μὴ φώνει τοὺς φίλους σου μηδὲ τοὺς ἀδελφούς σου μηδὲ τοὺς συγγενεῖς σου μηδὲ γείτονας πλουσίους μήποτε καὶ αὐτοὶ σε ἀντικαλέσωσίν καὶ γένηται σοι ἀνταπόδομά

KJV ¹³ But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind:

MAR ¹³ Mais quand tu feras un festin, convie les pauvres, les impotents, les boiteux et les aveugles ;

TR1550 ¹³ ἀλλ᾽ ὅταν ποιῇς δοχὴν κάλει πτωχούς ἀναπήρους, χωλούς τυφλούς

KJV ¹⁴ And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.

MAR ¹⁴ Et tu seras bienheureux de ce qu'ils n'ont pas de quoi te rendre la pareille ; car la pareille te sera rendue en la résurrection des justes.

TR1550 ¹⁴ καὶ μακάριος ἔσῃ ὅτι οὐκ ἔχουσιν ἀνταποδοῦναί σοι ἀνταποδοθήσεται γάρ σοι ἐν τῇ ἀναστάσει τῶν δικαίων
