KJV ² And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward.

TR1550 ² καὶ φωνήσας αὐτὸν εἶπεν αὐτῷ τί τοῦτο ἀκούω περὶ σοῦ ἀπόδος τὸν λόγον τῆς οἰκονομίας σου οὐ γὰρ δύνήσῃ ἔτι οἰκονομεῖν

DRB ³ Et l'économe dit en lui-même : Que ferai-je, car mon maître m'ôte l'administration ? Je ne puis pas bêcher la terre ; j'ai honte de mendier :

KJV ³ Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord taketh away from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed.

TR1550 ³ εἶπεν δὲ ἐν ἑαυτῷ ὁ οἰκονόμος τί ποιήσω ὅτι ὁ κύριός μου ἀφαιρεῖται τὴν οἰκονομίαν ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ σκάπτειν οὐκ ἰσχύω ἐπαιτεῖν αἰσχύνομαι

DRB ⁴ je sais ce que je ferai, afin que, quand je serai renvoyé de mon administration, je sois reçu dans leurs maisons.

KJV ⁴ I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses.

KJV ⁵ So he called every one of his lord's debtors unto him, and said unto the first, How much owest thou unto my lord?

DRB ⁸ Et le maître loua l'économe injuste parce qu'il avait agi prudemment. Car les fils de ce siècle* sont plus prudents, par rapport à leur propre génération, que les fils de la lumière.

KJV ⁸ And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.

TR1550 ⁸ καὶ ἐπῄνεσεν ὁ κύριος τὸν οἰκονόμον τῆς ἀδικίας ὅτι φρονίμως ἐποίησεν ὅτι οἱ υἱοὶ τοῦ αἰῶνος τούτου φρονιμώτεροι ὑπὲρ τοὺς υἱοὺς τοῦ φωτὸς εἰς τὴν γενεὰν τὴν ἑαυτῶν εἰσιν
