BAN ¹ Et aussitôt, dès le matin, les principaux sacrificateurs, ayant tenu conseil avec les anciens et les scribes, et tout le sanhédrin, lièrent Jésus, l'emmenèrent et le livrèrent à Pilate.

KJV ¹ And straightway in the morning the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council, and bound Jesus, and carried him away, and delivered him to Pilate.

BAN ² Et Pilate l'interrogea : Es-tu le roi des Juifs ? Et répondant il lui dit : Tu le dis.

KJV ² And Pilate asked him, Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answering said unto them, Thou sayest it.

BAN ³ Et les principaux sacrificateurs l'accusaient de plusieurs choses.

KJV ³ And the chief priests accused him of many things: but he answered nothing.

TR1550 ³ καὶ κατηγόρουν αὐτοῦ οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς πολλά

BAN ⁴ Et Pilate l'interrogea de nouveau et lui dit : Ne réponds-tu rien ? Vois de combien de choses ils t'accusent.

KJV ⁴ And Pilate asked him again, saying, Answerest thou nothing? behold how many things they witness against thee.

TR1550 ⁴ ὁ δὲ πιλᾶτος πάλιν ἐπηρώτησεν αὐτὸν λέγων, οὐκ ἀποκρίνῃ οὐδέν ἴδε πόσα σου καταμαρτυροῦσιν

BAN ⁵ Mais Jésus ne répondit plus rien ; de sorte que Pilate était étonné.

KJV ⁵ But Jesus yet answered nothing; so that Pilate marvelled.

TR1550 ⁵ ὁ δὲ ἰησοῦς οὐκέτι οὐδὲν ἀπεκρίθη ὥστε θαυμάζειν τὸν πιλᾶτον

BAN ⁶ Or, à chaque fête, il leur relâchait un prisonnier, celui qu'ils demandaient.

KJV ⁶ Now at that feast he released unto them one prisoner, whomsoever they desired.

TR1550 ⁶ κατὰ δὲ ἑορτὴν ἀπέλυεν αὐτοῖς ἕνα δέσμιον ὅνπερ ἠτοῦντο

BAN ⁷ Or il y avait le nommé Barabbas, détenu avec ses complices de sédition, parce qu'ils avaient commis un meurtre dans la sédition.

KJV ⁷ And there was one named Barabbas, which lay bound with them that had made insurrection with him, who had committed murder in the insurrection.

TR1550 ⁷ ἦν δὲ ὁ λεγόμενος βαραββᾶς μετὰ τῶν συστασιαστῶν δεδεμένος οἵτινες ἐν τῇ στάσει φόνον πεποιήκεισαν

BAN ⁸ Et la foule étant montée, se mit à demander ce qu'il faisait ordinairement pour eux.

KJV ⁸ And the multitude crying aloud began to desire him to do as he had ever done unto them.

TR1550 ⁸ καὶ ἀναβοήσας ὁ ὄχλος ἤρξατο αἰτεῖσθαι καθὼς ἀεί ἐποίει αὐτοῖς

BAN ⁹ Mais Pilate leur répondit : Voulez-vous que je vous relâche le roi des Juifs ?

KJV ⁹ But Pilate answered them, saying, Will ye that I release unto you the King of the Jews?

TR1550 ⁹ ὁ δὲ πιλᾶτος ἀπεκρίθη αὐτοῖς λέγων, φέλετε ἀπολύσω ὑμῖν τὸν βασιλέα τῶν ἰουδαίων

BAN ¹⁰ Car il comprenait que c'était par envie que les principaux sacrificateurs l'avaient livré.

KJV ¹⁰ For he knew that the chief priests had delivered him for envy.

TR1550 ¹⁰ ἐγίνωσκεν γὰρ ὅτι διὰ φθόνον παραδεδώκεισαν αὐτὸν οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς

BAN ¹¹ Mais les principaux sacrificateurs incitèrent la foule à demander qu'il leur relâchât plutôt Barabbas.

KJV ¹¹ But the chief priests moved the people, that he should rather release Barabbas unto them.

TR1550 ¹¹ οἱ δὲ ἀρχιερεῖς ἀνέσεισαν τὸν ὄχλον ἵνα μᾶλλον τὸν βαραββᾶν ἀπολύσῃ αὐτοῖς

BAN ¹² Et Pilate prenant de nouveau la parole, leur disait : Que voulez-vous donc que je fasse de celui que vous appelez roi des Juifs ?

KJV ¹² And Pilate answered and said again unto them, What will ye then that I shall do unto him whom ye call the King of the Jews?

TR1550 ¹² ὁ δὲ πιλᾶτος ἀποκριθεὶς πάλιν εἶπεν αὐτοῖς τί οὖν θέλετε ποιήσω ὃν λέγετε βασιλέα τῶν ἰουδαίων

BAN ¹³ Et ils crièrent de nouveau : Crucifie-le !

KJV ¹³ And they cried out again, Crucify him.

TR1550 ¹³ οἱ δὲ πάλιν ἔκραξαν σταύρωσον αὐτόν

BAN ¹⁴ Mais Pilate leur disait : Quel mal a-t-il donc fait ? Et ils crièrent plus fort : Crucifie-le !

KJV ¹⁴ Then Pilate said unto them, Why, what evil hath he done? And they cried out the more exceedingly, Crucify him.

TR1550 ¹⁴ ὁ δὲ πιλᾶτος ἔλεγεν αὐτοῖς τί γὰρ κακόν ἐποίησεν οἱ δὲ περισσοτέρως ἔκραξαν σταύρωσον αὐτόν
