KJV ¹ In those days the multitude being very great, and having nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples unto him, and saith unto them,

MAR ¹ En ces jours-là comme il y avait là une fort grande multitude, et qu'ils n'avaient rien à manger, Jésus appela ses Disciples, et leur dit :

KJV ² I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now been with me three days, and have nothing to eat:

MAR ² Je suis ému de compassion envers cette multitude, car il y a déjà trois jours qu'ils ne bougent d'avec moi, et ils n'ont rien à manger.

KJV ³ And if I send them away fasting to their own houses, they will faint by the way: for divers of them came from far.

MAR ³ Et si je les renvoie à jeûn en leurs maisons, ils tomberont en défaillance par le chemin, car quelques-uns d'eux sont venus de loin.

KJV ⁴ And his disciples answered him, From whence can a man satisfy these men with bread here in the wilderness?

MAR ⁴ Et ses Disciples lui répondirent : d'où les pourra-t-on rassasier de pains, ici, dans un désert ?

KJV ⁵ And he asked them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven.

MAR ⁵ Et il leur demanda : combien avez-vous de pains ? Ils lui dirent : Sept.

KJV ⁶ And he commanded the people to sit down on the ground: and he took the seven loaves, and gave thanks, and brake, and gave to his disciples to set before them; and they did set them before the people.

MAR ⁶ Alors il commanda aux troupes de s'asseoir par terre, et il prit les sept pains, et après avoir béni [Dieu] il les rompit, et les donna à ses Disciples pour les mettre devant les troupes ; et ils les mirent devant elles.

KJV ⁷ And they had a few small fishes: and he blessed, and commanded to set them also before them.

MAR ⁷ Ils avaient aussi quelque peu de petits poissons ; et après qu'il eut béni [Dieu], il commanda qu'ils les leur missent aussi devant.

KJV ⁸ So they did eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken meat that was left seven baskets.

MAR ⁸ Et ils en mangèrent, et furent rassasiés ; et on remporta du reste des pièces de pain sept corbeilles.

KJV ⁹ And they that had eaten were about four thousand: and he sent them away.

MAR ⁹ (Or ceux qui en avaient mangé étaient environ quatre mille). Et ensuite il leur donna congé.
