TR1550 ⁷ τούτων δὲ πορευομένων ἤρξατο ὁ ἰησοῦς λέγειν τοῖς ὄχλοις περὶ ἰωάννου τί ἐξήλθετε εἰς τὴν ἔρημον θεάσασθαι κάλαμον ὑπὸ ἀνέμου σαλευόμενον

KJV ⁸ But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? behold, they that wear soft clothing are in kings' houses.

S21 ⁸ Mais qu'êtes-vous allés voir? Un homme habillé de [tenues] élégantes? Ceux qui portent des tenues élégantes sont dans les maisons des rois.

TR1550 ⁸ ἀλλὰ τί ἐξήλθετε ἰδεῖν ἄνθρωπον ἐν μαλακοῖς ἱματίοις ἠμφιεσμένον ἰδού οἱ τὰ μαλακὰ φοροῦντες ἐν τοῖς οἴκοις τῶν βασιλέων εἰσίν

KJV ⁹ But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? yea, I say unto you, and more than a prophet.

KJV ¹⁰ For this is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.

S21 ¹⁰ [car] c'est celui à propos duquel il est écrit: Voici, j'envoie mon messager devant toi pour te préparer le chemin.

KJV ¹¹ Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

S21 ¹¹ »Je vous le dis en vérité, parmi ceux qui sont nés de femmes, il n'est venu personne de plus grand que Jean-Baptiste. Cependant, le plus petit dans le royaume des cieux est plus grand que lui.

TR1550 ¹¹ ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν οὐκ ἐγήγερται ἐν γεννητοῖς γυναικῶν μείζων ἰωάννου τοῦ βαπτιστοῦ ὁ δὲ μικρότερος ἐν τῇ βασιλείᾳ τῶν οὐρανῶν μείζων αὐτοῦ ἐστιν

KJV ¹² And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

S21 ¹² Depuis l'époque de Jean-Baptiste jusqu'à présent, le royaume des cieux est assailli avec force, et des violents s'en emparent.
