KJV ³ For, behold, the LORD cometh forth out of his place, and will come down, and tread upon the high places of the earth.

Il descend, il marche sur les hauteurs de la terre.

KJV ⁴ And the mountains shall be molten under him, and the valleys shall be cleft, as wax before the fire, and as the waters that are poured down a steep place.

S21 ⁴ Sous ses pas les montagnes s'effondrent,
les vallées s'entrouvrent,
comme la cire qui fond au feu,
comme l'eau qui coule sur une pente.

KJV ⁵ For the transgression of Jacob is all this, and for the sins of the house of Israel. What is the transgression of Jacob? is it not Samaria? and what are the high places of Judah? are they not Jerusalem?

S21 ⁵ Et tout cela à cause de la révolte de Jacob,
à cause des péchés de la communauté d'Israël.
Quelle est la révolte de Jacob? N'est-ce pas Samarie?
Quels sont les hauts lieux de Juda? N'est-ce pas Jérusalem?

KJV ⁶ Therefore I will make Samaria as an heap of the field, and as plantings of a vineyard: and I will pour down the stones thereof into the valley, and I will discover the foundations thereof.

S21 ⁶ Je ferai de Samarie un tas de ruines dans les champs,
un terrain pour planter de la vigne;
je ferai rouler ses pierres dans la vallée,
je mettrai à nu ses fondations.

KJV ⁷ And all the graven images thereof shall be beaten to pieces, and all the hires thereof shall be burned with the fire, and all the idols thereof will I lay desolate: for she gathered it of the hire of an harlot, and they shall return to the hire of an harlot.

S21 ⁷ Toutes ses sculptures sacrées seront brisées,
tous ses salaires impurs seront livrés aux flammes,
et je briserai toutes ses idoles:
rassemblées grâce au salaire de la prostitution,
elles deviendront un salaire de prostitution.

KJV ⁸ Therefore I will wail and howl, I will go stripped and naked: I will make a wailing like the dragons, and mourning as the owls.

Tu as été pour la fille de Sion une première cause de péché,
car en toi on a trouvé les transgressions d'Israël.

KJV ¹⁴ Therefore shalt thou give presents to Moreshethgath: the houses of Achzib shall be a lie to the kings of Israel.

car ils s'en vont en exil loin de toi.

KJV ¹ Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practise it, because it is in the power of their hand.

KJV ⁵ Therefore thou shalt have none that shall cast a cord by lot in the congregation of the LORD.

pour te mesurer une part du pays
dans l'assemblée de l'Eternel.

KJV ⁶ Prophesy ye not, say they to them that prophesy: they shall not prophesy to them, that they shall not take shame.

S21 ⁶ «Ne discourez pas, discourent-ils.
On ne discourra pas de telles choses!»
La honte n'en finit pas.

KJV ⁷ O thou that art named the house of Jacob, is the spirit of the LORD straitened? are these his doings? do not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly?

S21 ⁷ Qu'est-il dit, famille de Jacob?
L'Eternel serait-il impatient?
Est-ce sa manière d'agir?
Mes paroles ne sont-elles pas favorables
à celui qui marche avec droiture?

KJV ⁸ Even of late my people is risen up as an enemy: ye pull off the robe with the garment from them that pass by securely as men averse from war.

S21 ⁸ Depuis longtemps mon peuple se dresse comme un ennemi:
vous enlevez leur tenue
à ceux qui passent en toute confiance
en revenant de la guerre.

KJV ⁹ The women of my people have ye cast out from their pleasant houses; from their children have ye taken away my glory for ever.

S21 ⁹ Vous chassez des maisons qu'elles aiment les femmes de mon peuple,
vous enlevez pour toujours ma gloire à leurs enfants.

KJV ¹⁰ Arise ye, and depart; for this is not your rest: because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a sore destruction.

à cause de vos souillures, il y aura des douleurs, des douleurs violentes.

KJV ¹¹ If a man walking in the spirit and falsehood do lie, saying, I will prophesy unto thee of wine and of strong drink; he shall even be the prophet of this people.

S21 ¹¹ Si un homme court après le vent et débite des mensonges:
«Je vais te prophétiser sur le vin, sur les boissons fortes»,
il sera pour ce peuple un prophète.

KJV ¹² I will surely assemble, O Jacob, all of thee; I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together as the sheep of Bozrah, as the flock in the midst of their fold: they shall make great noise by reason of the multitude of men.

S21 ¹² Je te rassemblerai tout entier, Jacob, je rassemblerai les restes d'Israël, je les réunirai comme les brebis d'une bergerie, comme le troupeau dans son pâturage. Il y aura une foule bruyante.

KJV ¹³ The breaker is come up before them: they have broken up, and have passed through the gate, and are gone out by it: and their king shall pass before them, and the LORD on the head of them.

S21 ¹³ Celui qui fait la brèche montera devant eux; ils feront la brèche, franchiront la porte et sortiront par là. Leur roi marchera devant eux, l'Eternel sera à leur tête.
