KJV ¹ And I said, Hear, I pray you, O heads of Jacob, and ye princes of the house of Israel; Is it not for you to know judgment?

WLC ¹ וָאֹמַ֗ר שִׁמְעוּ־ נָא֙ רָאשֵׁ֣י יַעֲקֹ֔ב וּקְצִינֵ֖י בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל הֲל֣וֹא לָכֶ֔ם לָדַ֖עַת אֶת־ הַמִּשְׁפָּֽט׃

DRB ² Vous qui haïssez le bien et qui aimez le mal, qui arrachez leur peau de dessus eux,

KJV ² Who hate the good, and love the evil; who pluck off their skin from off them, and their flesh from off their bones;

WLC ² שֹׂ֥נְאֵי ט֖וֹב וְאֹ֣הֲבֵי גֹּזְלֵ֤י עוֹרָם֙ מֵֽעֲלֵיהֶ֔ם וּשְׁאֵרָ֖ם מֵעַ֥ל עַצְמוֹתָֽם׃

DRB ³ et leur chair de dessus leurs os, qui mangez la chair de mon peuple et ôtez leur peau de dessus eux, et qui brisez leurs os, et les mettez en morceaux comme dans une chaudière, et comme de la chair au milieu d'une marmite.

KJV ³ Who also eat the flesh of my people, and flay their skin from off them; and they break their bones, and chop them in pieces, as for the pot, and as flesh within the caldron.

WLC ³ וַאֲשֶׁ֣ר אָכְלוּ֮ שְׁאֵ֣ר עַמִּי֒ וְעוֹרָם֙ מֵעֲלֵיהֶ֣ם הִפְשִׁ֔יטוּ וְאֶת־ עַצְמֹֽתֵיהֶ֖ם פִּצֵּ֑חוּ וּפָרְשׂוּ֙ כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר בַּסִּ֔יר וּכְבָשָׂ֖ר בְּת֥וֹךְ קַלָּֽחַת׃

DRB ⁴ Alors ils crieront à l'Éternel, et il ne leur répondra pas, et il leur cachera sa face en ce temps-là, selon qu'ils ont agi méchamment.

KJV ⁴ Then shall they cry unto the LORD, but he will not hear them: he will even hide his face from them at that time, as they have behaved themselves ill in their doings.

WLC ⁴ אָ֚ז יִזְעֲק֣וּ אֶל־ יְהוָ֔ה וְלֹ֥א יַעֲנֶ֖ה אוֹתָ֑ם וְיַסְתֵּ֨ר פָּנָ֤יו מֵהֶם֙ בָּעֵ֣ת הַהִ֔יא כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר הֵרֵ֖עוּ מַעַלְלֵיהֶֽם׃

DRB ⁵ Ainsi dit l'Éternel touchant les prophètes qui font errer mon peuple ; qui mordent avec leurs dents, et crient : Paix ! et si quelqu'un ne met rien dans leur bouche, ils préparent* la guerre contre lui.

KJV ⁵ Thus saith the LORD concerning the prophets that make my people err, that bite with their teeth, and cry, Peace; and he that putteth not into their mouths, they even prepare war against him.

WLC ⁵ כֹּ֚ה אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה עַל־ הַנְּבִיאִ֖ים הַמַּתְעִ֣ים אֶת־ עַמִּ֑י הַנֹּשְׁכִ֤ים בְּשִׁנֵּיהֶם֙ וְקָרְא֣וּ שָׁל֔וֹם וַאֲשֶׁר֙ לֹא־ יִתֵּ֣ן עַל־ פִּיהֶ֔ם וְקִדְּשׁ֥וּ עָלָ֖יו מִלְחָמָֽה׃

DRB ⁶ C'est pourquoi vous aurez la nuit, sans vision, et vous aurez les ténèbres, sans divination ; et le soleil se couchera sur les prophètes, et le jour s'obscurcira sur eux.

KJV ⁶ Therefore night shall be unto you, that ye shall not have a vision; and it shall be dark unto you, that ye shall not divine; and the sun shall go down over the prophets, and the day shall be dark over them.

WLC ⁶ לָכֵ֞ן לַ֤יְלָה לָכֶם֙ מֵֽחָז֔וֹן וְחָשְׁכָ֥ה לָכֶ֖ם מִקְּסֹ֑ם וּבָ֤אָה הַשֶּׁ֙מֶשׁ֙ עַל־ הַנְּבִיאִ֔ים וְקָדַ֥ר עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם הַיּֽוֹם׃

DRB ⁷ Et les voyants seront honteux, et les devins seront confondus, et ils se couvriront tous la barbe, parce qu'il n'y a pas de réponse de Dieu.

KJV ⁷ Then shall the seers be ashamed, and the diviners confounded: yea, they shall all cover their lips; for there is no answer of God.

WLC ⁷ וּבֹ֣שׁוּ הַחֹזִ֗ים וְחָֽפְרוּ֙ הַקֹּ֣סְמִ֔ים וְעָט֥וּ עַל־ שָׂפָ֖ם כֻּלָּ֑ם כִּ֛י אֵ֥ין מַעֲנֵ֖ה אֱלֹהִֽים׃

DRB ⁸ Mais moi, je suis plein de puissance par l'esprit de l'Éternel, et de jugement et de force pour déclarer à Jacob sa transgression et à Israël son péché.

KJV ⁸ But truly I am full of power by the spirit of the LORD, and of judgment, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.

WLC ⁸ וְאוּלָ֗ם אָנֹכִ֞י מָלֵ֤אתִי כֹ֙חַ֙ אֶת־ ר֣וּחַ יְהוָ֔ה וּמִשְׁפָּ֖ט וּגְבוּרָ֑ה לְהַגִּ֤יד לְיַֽעֲקֹב֙ פִּשְׁע֔וֹ וּלְיִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל חַטָּאתֽוֹ׃

DRB ⁹ Écoutez ceci, je vous prie, chefs de la maison de Jacob, et vous, princes de la maison d'Israël, qui abhorrez le jugement et pervertissez toute droiture,

KJV ⁹ Hear this, I pray you, ye heads of the house of Jacob, and princes of the house of Israel, that abhor judgment, and pervert all equity.

DRB ¹⁰ bâtissant Sion avec du sang, et Jérusalem avec l'iniquité.

KJV ¹⁰ They build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity.

WLC ¹⁰ בֹּנֶ֥ה צִיּ֖וֹן בְּדָמִ֑ים וִירוּשָׁלִַ֖ם בְּעַוְלָֽה׃

DRB ¹¹ Ses chefs jugent pour des présents, et ses sacrificateurs enseignent pour un salaire, et ses prophètes devinent pour de l'argent et s'appuient sur l'Éternel, disant : L'Éternel n'est-il pas au milieu de nous ? il ne viendra point de mal sur nous !

KJV ¹¹ The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet will they lean upon the LORD, and say, Is not the LORD among us? none evil can come upon us.

WLC ¹¹ רָאשֶׁ֣יהָ ׀ בְּשֹׁ֣חַד יִשְׁפֹּ֗טוּ וְכֹהֲנֶ֙יהָ֙ בִּמְחִ֣יר יוֹר֔וּ וּנְבִיאֶ֖יהָ בְּכֶ֣סֶף יִקְסֹ֑מוּ וְעַל־ יְהוָה֙ יִשָּׁעֵ֣נוּ לֵאמֹ֔ר הֲל֤וֹא יְהוָה֙ בְּקִרְבֵּ֔נוּ לֹֽא־ תָב֥וֹא עָלֵ֖ינוּ רָעָֽה׃

DRB ¹² C'est pourquoi, à cause de vous, Sion sera labourée comme un champ, et Jérusalem sera des monceaux de pierres, et la montagne de la maison, les lieux hauts d'une forêt.

KJV ¹² Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of the forest.

WLC ¹² לָכֵן֙ בִּגְלַלְכֶ֔ם צִיּ֖וֹן שָׂדֶ֣ה תֵֽחָרֵ֑שׁ וִירוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ עִיִּ֣ין תִּֽהְיֶ֔ה וְהַ֥ר הַבַּ֖יִת לְבָמ֥וֹת יָֽעַר׃

DRB ¹ Et il arrivera, à la fin des jours, que la montagne de la maison de l'Éternel sera établie sur le sommet des montagnes, et sera élevée au-dessus des collines ; et les peuples y afflueront ;

KJV ¹ But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it.

WLC ¹ וְהָיָ֣ה ׀ בְּאַחֲרִ֣ית הַיָּמִ֗ים יִ֠הְיֶה הַ֣ר בֵּית־ יְהוָ֤ה נָכוֹן֙ בְּרֹ֣אשׁ הֶהָרִ֔ים וְנִשָּׂ֥א ה֖וּא מִגְּבָע֑וֹת וְנָהֲר֥וּ עָלָ֖יו עַמִּֽים׃

DRB ² et beaucoup de nations iront, et diront : Venez, et montons à la montagne de l'Éternel, et à la maison du Dieu de Jacob, et il nous instruira de ses voies, et nous marcherons dans ses sentiers. Car de Sion sortira la loi, et de Jérusalem, la parole de l'Éternel.

KJV ² And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

WLC ² וְֽהָלְכ֞וּ גּוֹיִ֣ם רַבִּ֗ים וְאָֽמְרוּ֙ לְכ֣וּ ׀ וְנַעֲלֶ֣ה אֶל־ הַר־ יְהוָ֗ה וְאֶל־ בֵּית֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י יַעֲקֹ֔ב וְיוֹרֵ֙נוּ֙ מִדְּרָכָ֔יו וְנֵלְכָ֖ה בְּאֹֽרְחֹתָ֑יו כִּ֤י מִצִּיּוֹן֙ תֵּצֵ֣א תוֹרָ֔ה וּדְבַר־ יְהוָ֖ה מִירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃

DRB ³ Et il jugera au milieu de beaucoup de peuples, et prononcera le droit à de fortes nations jusqu'au loin ; et de leurs épées ils forgeront des socs, et de leurs lances, des serpes : une nation ne lèvera pas l'épée contre une [autre] nation, et on n'apprendra plus la guerre.

KJV ³ And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

WLC ³ וְשָׁפַ֗ט בֵּ֚ין עַמִּ֣ים רַבִּ֔ים וְהוֹכִ֛יחַ לְגוֹיִ֥ם עֲצֻמִ֖ים עַד־ רָח֑וֹק וְכִתְּת֨וּ חַרְבֹתֵיהֶ֜ם לְאִתִּ֗ים וַחֲנִיתֹֽתֵיהֶם֙ לְמַזְמֵר֔וֹת לֹֽא־ יִשְׂא֞וּ גּ֤וֹי אֶל־ גּוֹי֙ חֶ֔רֶב וְלֹא־ יִלְמְד֥וּן ע֖וֹד מִלְחָמָֽה׃

DRB ⁴ Et ils s'assiéront chacun sous sa vigne et sous son figuier, et il n'y aura personne qui les effraye : car la bouche de l'Éternel des armées a parlé.

KJV ⁴ But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken it.

WLC ⁴ וְיָשְׁב֗וּ אִ֣ישׁ תַּ֧חַת גַּפְנ֛וֹ וְתַ֥חַת תְּאֵנָת֖וֹ וְאֵ֣ין מַחֲרִ֑יד כִּי־ פִ֛י יְהוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת דִּבֵּֽר׃

DRB ⁵ Car tous les peuples marcheront, chacun au nom de son dieu ; et nous, nous marcherons au nom de l'Éternel, notre Dieu, à toujours et à perpétuité.

KJV ⁵ For all people will walk every one in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of the LORD our God for ever and ever.

WLC ⁵ כִּ֚י כָּל־ הָ֣עַמִּ֔ים יֵלְכ֕וּ אִ֖ישׁ בְּשֵׁ֣ם אֱלֹהָ֑יו וַאֲנַ֗חְנוּ נֵלֵ֛ךְ בְּשֵׁם־ יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵ֖ינוּ לְעוֹלָ֥ם וָעֶֽד׃

DRB ⁶ En ce jour-là, dit l'Éternel, je rassemblerai celle* qui boitait, et je recueillerai celle qui était chassée et celle sur laquelle j'avais fait venir du mal.

KJV ⁶ In that day, saith the LORD, will I assemble her that halteth, and I will gather her that is driven out, and her that I have afflicted;

WLC ⁶ בַּיּ֨וֹם הַה֜וּא נְאֻם־ יְהוָ֗ה אֹֽסְפָה֙ הַצֹּ֣לֵעָ֔ה וְהַנִּדָּחָ֖ה אֲקַבֵּ֑צָה וַאֲשֶׁ֖ר הֲרֵעֹֽתִי׃

DRB ⁷ Et je ferai de celle qui boitait, un reste, et de celle qui avait été repoussée au loin, une nation forte ; et l'Éternel régnera sur eux, en la montagne de Sion, dès lors et à toujours.

KJV ⁷ And I will make her that halted a remnant, and her that was cast far off a strong nation: and the LORD shall reign over them in mount Zion from henceforth, even for ever.

WLC ⁷ וְשַׂמְתִּ֤י אֶת־ הַצֹּֽלֵעָה֙ לִשְׁאֵרִ֔ית וְהַנַּהֲלָאָ֖ה לְג֣וֹי עָצ֑וּם וּמָלַ֨ךְ יְהוָ֤ה עֲלֵיהֶם֙ בְּהַ֣ר צִיּ֔וֹן מֵעַתָּ֖ה וְעַד־ עוֹלָֽם׃

DRB ⁸ Et toi, tour du troupeau*, colline élevée de la fille de Sion, à toi arrivera et viendra la domination première, - le royaume, à la fille de Jérusalem.

KJV ⁸ And thou, O tower of the flock, the strong hold of the daughter of Zion, unto thee shall it come, even the first dominion; the kingdom shall come to the daughter of Jerusalem.

WLC ⁸ וְאַתָּ֣ה מִגְדַּל־ עֵ֗דֶר עֹ֛פֶל בַּת־ צִיּ֖וֹן עָדֶ֣יךָ תֵּאתֶ֑ה וּבָאָ֗ה הַמֶּמְשָׁלָה֙ הָרִ֣אשֹׁנָ֔ה מַמְלֶ֖כֶת לְבַ֥ת־ יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃

DRB ⁹ Maintenant, pourquoi pousses-tu des cris ? N'y a-t-il point de roi au milieu de toi ? Ton conseiller a-t-il péri ? car l'angoisse t'a saisie, comme une femme qui enfante.

KJV ⁹ Now why dost thou cry out aloud? is there no king in thee? is thy counsellor perished? for pangs have taken thee as a woman in travail.

WLC ⁹ עַתָּ֕ה לָ֥מָּה תָרִ֖יעִי רֵ֑עַ הֲמֶ֣לֶךְ אֵֽין־ בָּ֗ךְ אִֽם־ יוֹעֲצֵךְ֙ אָבָ֔ד כִּֽי־ הֶחֱזִיקֵ֥ךְ חִ֖יל כַּיּוֹלֵדָֽה׃

DRB ¹⁰ Sois dans l'angoisse et gémis, fille de Sion, comme une femme qui enfante ; car maintenant tu sortiras de la ville et tu habiteras aux champs, et tu viendras jusqu'à Babylone ; là, tu seras délivrée ; là, l'Éternel te rachètera de la main de tes ennemis.

KJV ¹⁰ Be in pain, and labour to bring forth, O daughter of Zion, like a woman in travail: for now shalt thou go forth out of the city, and thou shalt dwell in the field, and thou shalt go even to Babylon; there shalt thou be delivered; there the LORD shall redeem thee from the hand of thine enemies.

WLC ¹⁰ ח֧וּלִי וָגֹ֛חִי בַּת־ צִיּ֖וֹן כַּיּֽוֹלֵדָ֑ה כִּֽי־ עַתָּה֩ תֵצְאִ֨י מִקִּרְיָ֜ה וְשָׁכַ֣נְתְּ בַּשָּׂדֶ֗ה וּבָ֤את עַד־ בָּבֶל֙ שָׁ֣ם תִּנָּצֵ֔לִי שָׁ֚ם יִגְאָלֵ֣ךְ יְהוָ֔ה מִכַּ֖ף אֹיְבָֽיִךְ׃

DRB ¹¹ Et maintenant sont rassemblées contre toi beaucoup de nations qui disent : Qu'elle soit profanée, que notre œil voie Sion !

KJV ¹¹ Now also many nations are gathered against thee, that say, Let her be defiled, and let our eye look upon Zion.

WLC ¹¹ וְעַתָּ֛ה נֶאֶסְפ֥וּ עָלַ֖יִךְ גּוֹיִ֣ם רַבִּ֑ים הָאֹמְרִ֣ים תֶּחֱנָ֔ף וְתַ֥חַז בְּצִיּ֖וֹן עֵינֵֽינוּ׃

DRB ¹² Mais elles ne connaissent pas les pensées de l'Éternel et ne comprennent pas son conseil ; car il les a amassées comme la gerbe sur l'aire,

KJV ¹² But they know not the thoughts of the LORD, neither understand they his counsel: for he shall gather them as the sheaves into the floor.

WLC ¹² וְהֵ֗מָּה לֹ֤א יָֽדְעוּ֙ מַחְשְׁב֣וֹת יְהוָ֔ה וְלֹ֥א הֵבִ֖ינוּ עֲצָת֑וֹ כִּ֥י קִבְּצָ֖ם כֶּעָמִ֥יר גֹּֽרְנָה׃

DRB ¹³ Lève-toi et foule, fille de Sion, car je ferai ta corne de fer, et je ferai tes sabots d'airain, et tu broieras beaucoup de peuples ; et je consacrerai leur butin à l'Éternel, et leurs biens au Seigneur de toute la terre.

KJV ¹³ Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion: for I will make thine horn iron, and I will make thy hoofs brass: and thou shalt beat in pieces many people: and I will consecrate their gain unto the LORD, and their substance unto the Lord of the whole earth.

WLC ¹³ ק֧וּמִי וָד֣וֹשִׁי בַת־ צִיּ֗וֹן כִּֽי־ קַרְנֵ֞ךְ אָשִׂ֤ים בַּרְזֶל֙ וּפַרְסֹתַ֙יִךְ֙ אָשִׂ֣ים נְחוּשָׁ֔ה וַהֲדִקּ֖וֹת עַמִּ֣ים רַבִּ֑ים וְהַחֲרַמְתִּ֤י לַֽיהוָה֙ בִּצְעָ֔ם וְחֵילָ֖ם לַאֲד֥וֹן כָּל־ הָאָֽרֶץ׃

DRB ¹ Maintenant, attroupe-toi, fille de troupes ; il a mis le siège contre nous ; ils frappent le juge d'Israël avec une verge sur la joue.

KJV ¹ Now gather thyself in troops, O daughter of troops: he hath laid siege against us: they shall smite the judge of Israel with a rod upon the cheek.

WLC ¹ וְאַתָּ֞ה בֵּֽית־ לֶ֣חֶם אֶפְרָ֗תָה צָעִיר֙ לִֽהְיוֹת֙ בְּאַלְפֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֔ה מִמְּךָ֙ לִ֣י יֵצֵ֔א לִֽהְי֥וֹת מוֹשֵׁ֖ל בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וּמוֹצָאֹתָ֥יו מִקֶּ֖דֶם מִימֵ֥י עוֹלָֽם׃

DRB ² (Et toi, Bethléhem Éphrata, bien que tu sois petite entre les milliers de Juda, de toi sortira pour moi celui qui doit dominer en Israël, et duquel les origines ont été d'ancienneté, dès les jours d'éternité).

KJV ² But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

WLC ² לָכֵ֣ן יִתְּנֵ֔ם עַד־ עֵ֥ת יוֹלֵדָ֖ה יָלָ֑דָה וְיֶ֣תֶר אֶחָ֔יו יְשׁוּב֖וּן עַל־ בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

DRB ³ C'est pourquoi il les livrera jusqu'au temps où celle qui enfante aura enfanté ; et le reste de ses frères retournera vers les fils d'Israël.

KJV ³ Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth: then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel.

WLC ³ וְעָמַ֗ד וְרָעָה֙ בְּעֹ֣ז יְהוָ֔ה בִּגְא֕וֹן שֵׁ֖ם יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהָ֑יו וְיָשָׁ֕בוּ כִּֽי־ עַתָּ֥ה יִגְדַּ֖ל עַד־ אַפְסֵי־ אָֽרֶץ׃

DRB ⁴ Et il se tiendra et paîtra [son troupeau] avec la force de l'Éternel, dans la majesté du nom de l'Éternel, son Dieu. Et ils habiteront [en sûreté], car maintenant il sera grand jusqu'aux bouts de la terre*. Et lui sera la paix.

KJV ⁴ And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God; and they shall abide: for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth.

WLC ⁴ וְהָיָ֥ה זֶ֖ה שָׁל֑וֹם אַשּׁ֣וּר ׀ כִּֽי־ יָב֣וֹא בְאַרְצֵ֗נוּ וְכִ֤י יִדְרֹךְ֙ בְּאַרְמְנֹתֵ֔ינוּ וַהֲקֵמֹ֤נוּ עָלָיו֙ שִׁבְעָ֣ה רֹעִ֔ים וּשְׁמֹנָ֖ה נְסִיכֵ֥י אָדָֽם׃

DRB ⁵ Quand l'Assyrien entrera dans notre pays, et quand il mettra le pied dans nos palais, nous établirons contre lui sept pasteurs et huit princes des hommes.

KJV ⁵ And this man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land: and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men.

WLC ⁵ וְרָע֞וּ אֶת־ אֶ֤רֶץ אַשּׁוּר֙ בַּחֶ֔רֶב וְאֶת־ אֶ֥רֶץ נִמְרֹ֖ד בִּפְתָחֶ֑יהָ וְהִצִּיל֙ מֵֽאַשּׁ֔וּר כִּֽי־ יָב֣וֹא בְאַרְצֵ֔נוּ וְכִ֥י יִדְרֹ֖ךְ בִּגְבוּלֵֽנוּ׃

DRB ⁶ Et ils ravageront* le pays d'Assyrie avec l'épée, et le pays de Nimrod dans ses portes. Et il [nous] délivrera de l'Assyrien, quand il entrera dans notre pays, et qu'il mettra le pied dans nos confins.

KJV ⁶ And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders.

WLC ⁶ וְהָיָ֣ה ׀ שְׁאֵרִ֣ית יַעֲקֹ֗ב בְּקֶ֙רֶב֙ עַמִּ֣ים רַבִּ֔ים כְּטַל֙ מֵאֵ֣ת יְהוָ֔ה כִּרְבִיבִ֖ים עֲלֵי־ עֵ֑שֶׂב אֲשֶׁ֤ר לֹֽא־ יְקַוֶּה֙ לְאִ֔ישׁ וְלֹ֥א יְיַחֵ֖ל לִבְנֵ֥י אָדָֽם׃

DRB ⁷ Et le résidu de Jacob sera, au milieu de beaucoup de peuples, comme une rosée de par l'Éternel, comme des ondées sur l'herbe, - qui n'attend pas l'homme, et ne dépend pas des fils des hommes.

KJV ⁷ And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as a dew from the LORD, as the showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men.

WLC ⁷ וְהָיָה֩ שְׁאֵרִ֨ית יַעֲקֹ֜ב בַּגּוֹיִ֗ם בְּקֶ֙רֶב֙ עַמִּ֣ים רַבִּ֔ים כְּאַרְיֵה֙ בְּבַהֲמ֣וֹת יַ֔עַר כִּכְפִ֖יר בְּעֶדְרֵי צֹ֑אן אֲשֶׁ֧ר אִם עָבַ֛ר וְרָמַ֥ס וְטָרַ֖ף וְאֵ֥ין מַצִּֽיל׃

DRB ⁸ Et le résidu de Jacob sera, parmi les nations, au milieu de beaucoup de peuples, comme un lion parmi les bêtes de la forêt, comme un jeune lion parmi les troupeaux de menu bétail, qui, s'il passe, foule et déchire, et il n'y a personne qui délivre.

KJV ⁸ And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many people as a lion among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep: who, if he go through, both treadeth down, and teareth in pieces, and none can deliver.

WLC ⁸ תָּרֹ֥ם יָדְךָ֖ עַל־ צָרֶ֑יךָ וְכָל־ אֹיְבֶ֖יךָ יִכָּרֵֽתוּ׃

DRB ⁹ Ta main se lèvera sur tes adversaires*, et tous tes ennemis seront retranchés.

KJV ⁹ Thine hand shall be lifted up upon thine adversaries, and all thine enemies shall be cut off.

WLC ⁹ וְהָיָ֤ה בַיּוֹם־ הַהוּא֙ נְאֻם־ יְהוָ֔ה וְהִכְרַתִּ֥י סוּסֶ֖יךָ מִקִּרְבֶּ֑ךָ וְהַאֲבַדְתִּ֖י מַרְכְּבֹתֶֽיךָ׃

DRB ¹⁰ Et il arrivera, en ce jour-là, dit l'Éternel, que je retrancherai tes chevaux du milieu de toi, et je détruirai tes chars ;

KJV ¹⁰ And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD, that I will cut off thy horses out of the midst of thee, and I will destroy thy chariots:

WLC ¹⁰ וְהִכְרַתִּ֖י עָרֵ֣י אַרְצֶ֑ךָ וְהָרַסְתִּ֖י כָּל־ מִבְצָרֶֽיךָ׃

DRB ¹¹ et je retrancherai les villes de ton pays, et je renverserai toutes tes forteresses ;

KJV ¹¹ And I will cut off the cities of thy land, and throw down all thy strong holds:

WLC ¹¹ וְהִכְרַתִּ֥י כְשָׁפִ֖ים מִיָּדֶ֑ךָ וּֽמְעוֹנְנִ֖ים לֹ֥א יִֽהְיוּ־ לָֽךְ׃

DRB ¹² et je retrancherai de ta main les enchantements, et tu n'auras pas de pronostiqueurs ;

KJV ¹² And I will cut off witchcrafts out of thine hand; and thou shalt have no more soothsayers:

WLC ¹² וְהִכְרַתִּ֧י פְסִילֶ֛יךָ וּמַצֵּבוֹתֶ֖יךָ מִקִּרְבֶּ֑ךָ וְלֹֽא־ תִשְׁתַּחֲוֶ֥ה ע֖וֹד לְמַעֲשֵׂ֥ה יָדֶֽיךָ׃

DRB ¹³ et je retrancherai du milieu de toi tes images taillées et tes statues, et tu ne te prosterneras plus devant l'ouvrage de tes mains.

KJV ¹³ Thy graven images also will I cut off, and thy standing images out of the midst of thee; and thou shalt no more worship the work of thine hands.

WLC ¹³ וְנָתַשְׁתִּ֥י אֲשֵׁירֶ֖יךָ מִקִּרְבֶּ֑ךָ וְהִשְׁמַדְתִּ֖י עָרֶֽיךָ׃

DRB ¹⁴ Et j'arracherai tes ashères du milieu de toi, et je détruirai tes villes.

KJV ¹⁴ And I will pluck up thy groves out of the midst of thee: so will I destroy thy cities.

WLC ¹⁴ וְעָשִׂ֜יתִי בְּאַ֧ף וּבְחֵמָ֛ה נָקָ֖ם אֶת־ הַגּוֹיִ֑ם אֲשֶׁ֖ר לֹ֥א שָׁמֵֽעוּ׃

DRB ¹⁵ Et j'exécuterai sur les nations, avec colère et avec fureur, une vengeance dont elles n'ont pas entendu parler*.

KJV ¹⁵ And I will execute vengeance in anger and fury upon the heathen, such as they have not heard.

WLC ¹⁴ עַתָּה֙ תִּתְגֹּדְדִ֣י בַת־ גְּד֔וּד מָצ֖וֹר שָׂ֣ם עָלֵ֑ינוּ בַּשֵּׁ֙בֶט֙ יַכּ֣וּ עַֽל־ הַלְּחִ֔י אֵ֖ת שֹׁפֵ֥ט יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
