KJV ² The noise of a whip, and the noise of the rattling of the wheels, and of the pransing horses, and of the jumping chariots.

WLC ² ק֣וֹל שׁ֔וֹט וְק֖וֹל רַ֣עַשׁ אוֹפָ֑ן וְס֣וּס דֹּהֵ֔ר וּמֶרְכָּבָ֖ה מְרַקֵּדָֽה׃

DRB ³ le cavalier qui s'élance, et la flamme de l'épée, et l'éclair de la lance, et une multitude de tués, et des monceaux de corps morts, et des cadavres sans fin ! on trébuche sur les cadavres !

KJV ³ The horseman lifteth up both the bright sword and the glittering spear: and there is a multitude of slain, and a great number of carcases; and there is none end of their corpses; they stumble upon their corpses:

WLC ³ פָּרָ֣שׁ מַעֲלֶ֗ה וְלַ֤הַב חֶ֙רֶב֙ וּבְרַ֣ק חֲנִ֔ית וְרֹ֥ב חָלָ֖ל וְכֹ֣בֶד פָּ֑גֶר וְאֵ֥ין קֵ֙צֶה֙ לַגְּוִיָּ֔ה בִּגְוִיָּתָֽם׃

DRB ⁴ À cause de la multitude des prostitutions de la prostituée attrayante, enchanteresse, qui vend les nations par ses prostitutions, et les familles par ses enchantements,

KJV ⁴ Because of the multitude of the whoredoms of the wellfavoured harlot, the mistress of witchcrafts, that selleth nations through her whoredoms, and families through her witchcrafts.

WLC ⁴ מֵרֹב֙ זְנוּנֵ֣י זוֹנָ֔ה ט֥וֹבַת חֵ֖ן בַּעֲלַ֣ת כְּשָׁפִ֑ים הַמֹּכֶ֤רֶת גּוֹיִם֙ בִּזְנוּנֶ֔יהָ וּמִשְׁפָּח֖וֹת בִּכְשָׁפֶֽיהָ׃

DRB ⁵ voici, j'en veux à toi, dit l'Éternel des armées, et je relèverai les pans de ta robe sur ton visage, et je montrerai aux nations ta nudité, et aux royaumes ta honte.

KJV ⁵ Behold, I am against thee, saith the LORD of hosts; and I will discover thy skirts upon thy face, and I will shew the nations thy nakedness, and the kingdoms thy shame.

WLC ⁵ הִנְנִ֣י אֵלַ֗יִךְ נְאֻם֙ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת וְגִלֵּיתִ֥י שׁוּלַ֖יִךְ עַל־ פָּנָ֑יִךְ וְהַרְאֵיתִ֤י גוֹיִם֙ מַעְרֵ֔ךְ וּמַמְלָכ֖וֹת קְלוֹנֵֽךְ׃

DRB ⁶ Et je jetterai sur toi des ordures, et je t'avilirai, et je te donnerai en spectacle.

KJV ⁶ And I will cast abominable filth upon thee, and make thee vile, and will set thee as a gazingstock.

WLC ⁶ וְהִשְׁלַכְתִּ֥י עָלַ֛יִךְ שִׁקֻּצִ֖ים וְנִבַּלְתִּ֑יךְ וְשַׂמְתִּ֖יךְ כְּרֹֽאִי׃

DRB ⁷ Et il arrivera que tous ceux qui te verront fuiront loin de toi, et diront : Ninive est dévastée ! Qui la plaindra ? D'où te chercherai-je des consolateurs ?

KJV ⁷ And it shall come to pass, that all they that look upon thee shall flee from thee, and say, Nineveh is laid waste: who will bemoan her? whence shall I seek comforters for thee?

WLC ⁷ וְהָיָ֤ה כָל־ רֹאַ֙יִךְ֙ יִדּ֣וֹד מִמֵּ֔ךְ וְאָמַר֙ שָׁדְּדָ֣ה נִֽינְוֵ֔ה מִ֖י יָנ֣וּד לָ֑הּ מֵאַ֛יִן אֲבַקֵּ֥שׁ מְנַחֲמִ֖ים לָֽךְ׃
