Nb 19:1-10 (Darby)

   ¹ Et l'Éternel parla à Moïse et à Aaron, disant : ² C'est ici le statut de la loi que l'Éternel a commandé, en disant : Parle aux fils d'Israël, et qu'ils t'amènent une génisse rousse, sans tare, qui n'ait aucun défaut corporel, [et] qui n'ait point porté le joug. ³ Et vous la donnerez à Éléazar, le sacrificateur, et il la mènera hors du camp, et on l'égorgera devant lui. ⁴ Et Éléazar, le sacrificateur, prendra de son sang avec son doigt et fera aspersion* de son sang, sept fois, droit devant la tente d'assignation ; ⁵ et on brûlera la génisse devant ses yeux : on brûlera sa peau, et sa chair, et son sang, avec sa fiente. ⁶ Et le sacrificateur prendra du bois de cèdre, et de l'hysope, et de l'écarlate, et les jettera au milieu du feu où brûle la génisse. ⁷ Et le sacrificateur lavera ses vêtements et lavera sa chair dans l'eau ; et après, il entrera dans le camp ; et le sacrificateur sera impur jusqu'au soir. ⁸ Et celui qui l'aura brûlée lavera ses vêtements dans l'eau, et lavera sa chair dans l'eau ; et il sera impur jusqu'au soir. ⁹ Et un homme pur ramassera la cendre de la génisse, et la déposera hors du camp en un lieu pur, et elle sera gardée pour l'assemblée des fils d'Israël comme eau de séparation : c'est une purification pour le péché. ¹⁰ Et celui qui aura ramassé la cendre de la génisse lavera ses vêtements, et sera impur jusqu'au soir. Ce sera un statut perpétuel pour les fils d'Israël et pour l'étranger qui séjourne au milieu d'eux.

   ¹ And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying, ² This is the ordinance of the law which the LORD hath commanded, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring thee a red heifer without spot, wherein is no blemish, and upon which never came yoke: ³ And ye shall give her unto Eleazar the priest, that he may bring her forth without the camp, and one shall slay her before his face: ⁴ And Eleazar the priest shall take of her blood with his finger, and sprinkle of her blood directly before the tabernacle of the congregation seven times: ⁵ And one shall burn the heifer in his sight; her skin, and her flesh, and her blood, with her dung, shall he burn: ⁶ And the priest shall take cedar wood, and hyssop, and scarlet, and cast it into the midst of the burning of the heifer. ⁷ Then the priest shall wash his clothes, and he shall bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp, and the priest shall be unclean until the even. ⁸ And he that burneth her shall wash his clothes in water, and bathe his flesh in water, and shall be unclean until the even. ⁹ And a man that is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer, and lay them up without the camp in a clean place, and it shall be kept for the congregation of the children of Israel for a water of separation: it is a purification for sin. ¹⁰ And he that gathereth the ashes of the heifer shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: and it shall be unto the children of Israel, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among them, for a statute for ever.

   ² Ista est religio victimæ, quam constituit Dominus. Præcipe filiis Israël, ut adducant ad te vaccam rufam ætatis integræ, in qua nulla sit macula, nec portaverit jugum :
   ³ tradetisque eam Eleazaro sacerdoti, qui eductam extra castra, immolabit in conspectu omnium :
   ⁴ et tingens digitum in sanguine ejus, asperget contra fores tabernaculi septem vicibus,
   ⁵ comburetque eam cunctis videntibus, tam pelle et carnibus ejus quam sanguine et fimo flammæ traditis.
   ⁶ Lignum quoque cedrinum, et hyssopum, coccumque bis tinctum sacerdos mittet in flammam, quæ vaccam vorat.
   ⁷ Et tunc demum, lotis vestibus et corpore suo, ingredietur in castra, commaculatusque erit usque ad vesperum.
   ⁸ Sed et ille qui combusserit eam, lavabit vestimenta sua et corpus, et immundus erit usque ad vesperum.
   ⁹ Colliget autem vir mundus cineres vaccæ, et effundet eos extra castra in loco purissimo, ut sint multitudini filiorum Israël in custodiam, et in aquam aspersionis : quia pro peccato vacca combusta est.
   ¹⁰ Cumque laverit qui vaccæ portaverat cineres vestimenta sua, immundus erit usque ad vesperum. Habebunt hoc filii Israël, et advenæ qui habitant inter eos, sanctum jure perpetuo.
