⁴ And the LORD said unto Moses, Take all the heads of the people, and hang them up before the LORD against the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD may be turned away from Israel. ⁵ And Moses said unto the judges of Israel, Slay ye every one his men that were joined unto Baalpeor.

⁴ L'Éternel dit à Moïse: Assemble tous les chefs du peuple, et fais pendre les coupables devant l'Éternel en face du soleil, afin que la colère ardente de l'Éternel se détourne d'Israël. ⁵ Moïse dit aux juges d'Israël: Que chacun de vous tue ceux de ses gens qui se sont attachés à Baal Peor.
