WLC ² וַֽתַּעֲמֹ֜דְנָה לִפְנֵ֣י מֹשֶׁ֗ה וְלִפְנֵי֙ אֶלְעָזָ֣ר הַכֹּהֵ֔ן וְלִפְנֵ֥י הַנְּשִׂיאִ֖ם וְכָל־ הָעֵדָ֑ה פֶּ֥תַח אֹֽהֶל־ מוֹעֵ֖ד לֵאמֹֽר׃

BCC ³ "Notre père est mort dans le désert ; il n'était pas au milieu de la troupe de ceux qui se liguèrent contre Yahweh, de la troupe de Coré, mais il est mort pour son péché, et il n'avait point de fils.

KJV ³ Our father died in the wilderness, and he was not in the company of them that gathered themselves together against the LORD in the company of Korah; but died in his own sin, and had no sons.

WLC ³ אָבִינוּ֮ מֵ֣ת בַּמִּדְבָּר֒ וְה֨וּא לֹא־ הָיָ֜ה בְּת֣וֹךְ הָעֵדָ֗ה הַנּוֹעָדִ֛ים עַל־ יְהוָ֖ה בַּעֲדַת־ קֹ֑רַח כִּֽי־ בְחֶטְא֣וֹ מֵ֔ת וּבָנִ֖ים לֹא־ הָ֥יוּ לֽוֹ׃

BCC ⁴ Pourquoi le nom de notre père serait-il retranché du milieu de sa famille, parce qu'il n'a pas eu de fils ? Donne-nous une propriété parmi les frères de notre père."

KJV ⁴ Why should the name of our father be done away from among his family, because he hath no son? Give unto us therefore a possession among the brethren of our father.

WLC ⁴ לָ֣מָּה יִגָּרַ֤ע שֵׁם־ אָבִ֙ינוּ֙ מִתּ֣וֹךְ מִשְׁפַּחְתּ֔וֹ כִּ֛י אֵ֥ין ל֖וֹ בֵּ֑ן תְּנָה־ לָּ֣נוּ אֲחֻזָּ֔ה בְּת֖וֹךְ אֲחֵ֥י אָבִֽינוּ׃

BCC ⁵ Moïse porta leur cause devant Yahweh ;

KJV ⁵ And Moses brought their cause before the LORD.

WLC ⁵ וַיַּקְרֵ֥ב מֹשֶׁ֛ה אֶת־ מִשְׁפָּטָ֖ לִפְנֵ֥י יְהוָֽה׃

WLC ⁶ וַיֹּ֥אמֶר יְהוָ֖ה אֶל־ מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר׃

BCC ⁷ Tu leur donneras en héritage une propriété parmi les frères de leur père, et tu leur feras passer l'héritage de leur père.

KJV ⁷ The daughters of Zelophehad speak right: thou shalt surely give them a possession of an inheritance among their father's brethren; and thou shalt cause the inheritance of their father to pass unto them.

BCC ⁸ Tu parleras aux enfants d'Israël, en disant :

KJV ⁸ And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a man die, and have no son, then ye shall cause his inheritance to pass unto his daughter.

VULC ⁸ Homo cum mortuus fuerit absque filio, ad filiam ejus transibit hæreditas.

WLC ⁸ וְאֶל־ בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל תְּדַבֵּ֣ר לֵאמֹ֑ר אִ֣ישׁ כִּֽי־ יָמ֗וּת וּבֵן֙ אֵ֣ין ל֔וֹ וְהַֽעֲבַרְתֶּ֥ם אֶת־ נַחֲלָת֖וֹ לְבִתּֽוֹ׃

BCC ⁹ Si un homme meurt sans avoir de fils, vous ferez passer son héritage à sa fille ; et s'il n'a point de fille, vous donnerez son héritage à ses frères.

KJV ⁹ And if he have no daughter, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his brethren.

WLC ¹⁰ וְאִם־ אֵ֥ין ל֖וֹ אַחִ֑ים וּנְתַתֶּ֥ם אֶת־ נַחֲלָת֖וֹ לַאֲחֵ֥י אָבִֽיו׃

BCC ¹¹ et s'il n'y a point de frères de son père, vous donnerez son héritage au parent le plus proche dans sa famille, et c'est lui qui le possédera. Ce sera pour les enfants d'Israël une règle de droit, comme Yahweh l'a ordonné à Moïse."

KJV ¹¹ And if his father have no brethren, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his kinsman that is next to him of his family, and he shall possess it: and it shall be unto the children of Israel a statute of judgment, as the LORD commanded Moses.
